Unlike the worlds of Dupin, Holmes or Poirot, the world of the hard-boiled detective is bleak, corrupt and sexual. Raymond Chandler's private eye, Phillip Marlowe tries to negotiate this world with a morally ambivalent vision. He even deviates from the vision of his creator, Chandler, who wanted him to be a white knight of the dark Californian city-scape. This paper examines this deviation.

Indian higher education is one of the biggest higher education systems in the world. Even though still Indian higher education is having low enrollment status with many inter-disparities to access higher education such as rural-urban, male-female and poor-non-poor. In the situation, there is needed a study is to identify factors determinant of higher education in the entire nation as well as specific state. For the purpose, the study has been concentrated on all India level as well as specific state of Tamil Nadu which is one of the forwarding states for achieving higher education. The major objective of the study was to identify the macro-economic determinants on demand for higher education with comparison between India and Tamil Nadu. To examine this objective, the study has adopted both longitudinal and cross-sectional analysis for India and longitudinal analysis for specific state of Tamil Nadu. To estimate the aggregate demand function for higher education, Multivariate regression method through Ordinary Least Square Method (OLS) was used. To conclude, the study revealed that demand function of higher education for all three models is commonly influenced only one variable like availability of higher education facilities. It predicts that increasing the higher education facilities in the system is providing opportunities for accessing (demand) higher education to all groups across all the states and nation.

This study has been undertaken to examine the effect of breast feeding on immunization pain among infants within six months of age in a selected immunization clinic of West Bengal. Post test only control group design was adopted. Forty healthy infants returning to the immunization clinic for their second dose of injection DPT vaccine and above, were selected using purposive sampling technique. Then they were divided into experimental group and control group. Breast feeding was started two minutes before, during, and after administration of vaccine ( DPT second dose) in experimental group. The control group was administered the vaccine without breast feeding. Unstructured interview schedule was used to collect background data. Pain responses of infants (immediately after and two minutes after) were assessed by using Modified Riley Infant Pain Assessment Scale in terms of intensity of pain and duration of crying. Result showed that mean immunization pain scores were statistically significant as evidenced by calculatedt value (t=6.22 and 7.26, immediately after and two minutes after administration of vaccine). The crying time was significantly shorter in the experimental group (mean = 43.55 seconds,) than in the control group (mean = 95.95 seconds, t=5.25 ). There was no relationship (p <0.05) between Immunization pain score and time of last feeding before starting treatment as evidenced by calculated t value ( 0.55 and 0.59, in experimental group and control group, respectively). Perception of pain among infants had serious consequences in future. So, nursing personnels of sub centre and immunization clinic of hospitals might practice application of providing breastfeeding during administration of vaccine among infants to reduce immunization pain and protocol could be established in pediatric ward in reducing procedural pain regularly.

The electronics industry has reached tremendous growth for the few decades, truly due to the rapid challenges for complex application in Very Large Scale Integration technologies. In many of the factories facing problems on testing the circuits withheld of low power consumption. The proposed system uses efficient Transition and Stuck-At Fault model for fault reduction for test pattern generation using LFSR and for low power consumption the system uses Bit Swapping LFSR to reduce the weighted switching activity and to reduce the number of transitions during normal and test mode operation. Necessary experimental results and Comparative analysis are presented to demonstrate the ability of the procedure to detect path delay faults with low power consumption using both conventional LFSR and BS-LFSR to detect the faults in benchmark circuits.

Education, as we are compelled to think in the present day context, is the single most important means for individuals to improve personal endowments, build capability levels, overcome constraints and in the process, enlarge their available set of opportunities and choices for a sustained improvement in wellbeing. Teachers have been incredible as they leapt with zeal, commitment and creativity into this new way of online teaching. The outbreak of Covid-19 has left the country shut its doors to contain the spread of the corona virus leading to disruption in the lives of people but has not shut the doors of possibilities and opportunities. Teachers are already over burdened with constant barrage of links, passwords, Google classroom, Zoom, hangout, conducting classes, meeting sessions, PTMs and what not many more devices to fight against Covid-19. Corona virus is taking its toll on the teachers who investing time to indulge in browsing hours on the screen together constantly either on phone or in their laptops or in their systems. They are left with no other choice than being exhausted at the end of the day. On the contrary, this activity has left the teachers educated. The scholar has presented how corona was not a welcomed visitor yet became an invisible teacher.

Abstract Seed dressing with fungicide is a conventional method used for the control of seed & soil borne pathogen that results in healthy plant development and increases the crop yield (Andreas et al., 2008). Although the seed treatments protect the seed &seedlings from pests & disease, it causes secondary effects on germination & growth (Wahengbam et al., 2013). Present paper showed the effect of fungiside On seed germination and growth of plant. Fungisisde is used to kill the fungi but there are some addeverce effect. In this paper showed that effect of Zirram fungiside made by sygenta. For experiment we used mung beans ie,. The idea of spiritual consciousness involves individuals to look inward. This inwardness is the reason behind saints advising against egotism. An egoistic individual is always driven to look outward towards the world. This mind is always unrequited and deeply affected but peoples views. The person high on egotism is driven to maintain favorable views of self; leading to a divergent discontented soul. As egotism prevails this mind; spiritual consciousness evades it and this mind is thus unable to bear the fruit of spiritual consciousness. This paper exposes a perspective on Egotism and its probable maneuvering advantage an individual can put to use. Though Egotism has highly been discouraged in most cultures and has also been considered as an impediment on the road to Spiritual Consciousness; the researcher from the accumulated data supports that there might be an importance Egotism serves. This paper statistically rephrases the same with the help of Egotism Scale developed by Das and Sisodiya (2011) to measure Egotism and SCS developed by Sethi, Das, Satsangi (2019) to measure Spiritual Consciousness. This study has 36 respondents.
