The aim of this work is to formulate and evaluate an herbal face pack for glowing skin by using natural herbal ingredients. The natural herbal ingredients such as multani mitti, turmeric, sandalwood, rose powder, masoor flour , orange peel were purchased from local market in the form of dried powder. The powder of Nutmeg was prepared by shade drying commercially, all powdered natural ingredients were sieved using #44 mesh, weighed accurately and mixed geometrically for uniform formulation and then evaluated for parameters including morphological, physicochemical, physical, irritancy along with stability examination. Thus, in the present work, we formulated a herbal face pack which can be easily made with the easily available ingredients. After evaluation, we found good properties for the face packs, free from skin irritation and maintained its consistency even after stability storage conditions. Results of the study scientifically verified that herbal face pack having enough potential to give efficient glowing effect on skin. The overall study is useful to substantiate product claims due its useful benefits on the human beings.

Developing women's professional skills are essential for advancing gender equality and economic progress. The present study aims to analyse the participation of women in the training programmes conducted at the Centre for Good Governance- Kerala Institute of Local Administration and assess utility of the fashion designing skill development course. It compares the knowledge of participants regarding specific information on fashion designing before and after the training. The study deploys questionnaire method, face-to-face interview and statistical analysis to gather the data on the aspects pertaining to the course. Analysis of data indicates that the skills and overall employability of the participants considerably increased after the training. On the basis of the results, it is suggested that the impact of skill development trainings can be maximised by government interventions in the form of supportive schemes, subsidies, follow-up facilities, intermediaries to facilitate employment possibilities and tweaking the current method of trainings by introduction of online courses and off-campus trainings.

FoMO and social comparison are two common terms that are generally recognized among university students and has an impact on their psychological well-being. The study investigates the influence of fear of escape (FoMO)and Social Comparison on university students' Psychological Well-being. This study aims to uncover the extent to which these factors contribute to student's general mental health through a comprehensive review and empirical analysis of existing literature by examining the prevalence of FoMO and Social Comparison in university. The sample consisted of hundred university students (N=100) pursuing bachelors or undergraduate courses from various universities of Delhi NCR. The sampling was based on random sampling method. The data was collected using questionnaire method and the tools used were Fear Of Missing Out Scale (FOMOS), Social comparison Scale (SCS) and Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWBS).This study has adopted an exploratory research design and employed regression analysis. Regression analysis is used in the study to look at how social comparison and FoMO negatively affect students' mental health. Research suggests that stress and anxiety can be increased by comparing oneself to peers in terms of accomplishments, attractiveness, or way of life. This is made worse by FoMO, which intensifies the pressure to keep up with others and results in a lowered sense of self-worth and self-esteem. According to the study, these actions might obstruct one's own growth and perpetuate a vicious cycle of unhappiness and inertia. Digital connectedness and excessive social media use also intensify these harmful impacts. In order to lessen these effects, the research emphasizes the significance of setting up sound boundaries and developing self-awareness and self-compassion. To encourage good mental health outcomes and resistance against social comparison and fear of missing out, it is essential to foster a supportive and genuine atmosphere in social circles and educational environments.

This project presents a hand gesture recognition system that uses Python, Mediapipe, Pytesseract, PyAutoGUI, and OpenCV to enable hands-free interaction with digital devices. It has features like mouse control, PowerPoint control, media player, and whiteboard functionalities, the system utilizes real-time hand tracking and gesture recognition for an intuitive user experience. It can also convert written handwriting to text. Additionally, the handwriting model is trained on a dataset of labeled images and uses transfer learning to improve its accuracy. This project enhances human-computer interaction by combining advanced computer vision techniques with versatile Python libraries, making it valuable for presentations, media control, and collaborative whiteboarding. This project could be used by handicapped people, could be used in school or office presentations, medical sectors where hygiene is important or anywhere where a touch free environment is required.

In India, women constitute almost half of the overall population. However, in the realms of work and starting businesses, the involvement of women in the workforce and their chances for entrepreneurship are significantly minimal. Given that women fall into the category of the vulnerable population, it is crucial to give them the necessary focus and recognition to escape their vulnerability in economic, political, and social aspects, enabling them to lead self-sufficient lives. Empowerment of women can only be realized when they possess economic and financial autonomy. This requires a dedicated support network in infrastructure areas such as banks, markets, etc. Such a support network is provided by the government, civil society, self-help groups, women's associations, and non-governmental organizations, which are essential in lifting women from various vulnerabilities and motivating them to engage in economic endeavors such as entrepreneurship. The topic of conversation revolves around the reference to a key federal program known as Mudra Yojana, which is significantly encouraging women's entrepreneurship by increasing the number of women's accounts established and loans provided to them annually.

Today, the rice sector heavily relies on synthetic pesticides to prevent loses. Nonetheless, these chemicals carry toxicity risks and can have harmful impacts on humans, animals and ecosystem. Thus, this study aims to observe the effectiveness of common Indian spices. The mortality and repllency rate were determined using a random arrangement with five different treatments. In this study, we have demonstrated the effectiveness of various Indian spices, viz, Myristica fragrans (mace), Piper nigrum (black pepper), Cinnamomum zeylanicum (cinnamon), Carom copticum (ajwain), Laurus nobilis (bay leaves) in protecting stored rice from Sitophilus oryzae infestation. The data was subsequently subjected to statistical analysis, with the significance level set at P< 0.05. Mace and Black pepper exhibited the highest effectiveness causing 90% and 85% of mortality respectively. In terms of repellency, the assessment of various reveals that Mace shows a significant repellent effect, demonstrating a notably high repellency rate within 12 hours. Therefore, the results indicate this trend (Mortality- Mace> Black pepper> Cinnamon> Ajwain> Bay leaves) (Repellency- Mace> Black pepper> Cinnamon> Ajwain> Bay leaves). This was an attempt to explore an alternative approach to pest management demonstrating that these spices contain elements with natural insecticidal and repellent properties. Experiment was performed to check the effecient of spices and repllency behaviour on Rice Weevil.

The present study was intend to collect, identify and determine the insect collection of Thengapattanam harbour. This is one of the fishing harbours in Kanniyakumari District. This is located on the Southwestern coast of India bordering the Arabian Sea. It serves as a vital ecosystem, supporting various life forms, including insects. The insect diversity in Thengapattanam harbour is extensive, showcasing many species belonging to various orders and families. The diverse habitats within and around the harbour, including mangroves, salt marshes, and coastal areas, contribute to this richness. Insects in Thengapattanam harbour has evolved various adaptations to survive in dynamic coastal environments. During the study period of 3 months 15 species belonging to 15 families were recorded. It is observed that Chrysomelidae is the most dominant family and each family is dominated by separate species. These species play crucial roles in pollination, nutrient cycling, decomposition, and as food sources for other organisms.
