The state-making process is often blamed for the ongoing inter-state border disputes in India's northeast. The colonial demarcation and re-demarcation of borders left persisting legacies of border plurality and inconsistencies in the region. Post-colonial reorganisation of states was followed by border disagreements between Assam and its four adjoining states of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Meghalaya. The territorial claims of these states beyond their constitutional borders apparently have historical roots, particularly in the state-making exercise in the region. Since the outset of these disputes, the post-colonial federal constitution has attempted to address the problem by applying different settlement mechanisms. This study thus makes a retrospective analysis to understand how state-making practices since colonial rule have contributed to the current border discord and also attempts to understand available constitutional mechanisms for resolving the issue.

Culture is the distinctive feature of a society. Each society can be differentiated from another based on their cultures. Each culture is unique in its own way and has to be preserved by that society Bharati Mukherjee's novels and short stories often reveal the emotional and psychic consequences of the search for self-identity in the alien land. Mukherjee is at her best in the depiction of cross-cultural conflicts and how her heroines take control over their destines. Cultural conflicts arise between individuals or social groups separated by cultural boundaries. Mukherjee admits that it is difficult for the Indian immigrant women to assimilate American values system sacrificing the soul of the Indian spiritual life. Cross- cultured confrontation is a great influence on immigrants today. The two protagonists of Mukherjee, Jasmine and Dimple face Cultural shock due to their immigration to the foreign land and who could not cope up with their changed circumstances and with the two socio- cultural environments accompanied with the feelings of rootlessness and nostalgia.

This article focuses on the functional verification of a DMA controller within a microcontroller system-on-chip (SoC) using UVM. DMA is an integral part to modern computer systems, enhancing performance by offloading data transfer tasks from the CPU. The proposed work employs the Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) to develop a comprehensive verification environment that includes essential components like drivers, monitors, scoreboards, and sequencers. The verification covers various data transfer modes (fixed-to-fixed, fixed-to-block, block-to-fixed, and block-to-block), boundary conditions, and error cases to ensure the functional correctness of the DMA controller. Different code coverage was obtained such as FSM coverage of 100%, Expression coverage of 90.13%, Conditional coverage of 93.33%, and Statements coverage of 99.34% which leads to overall code coverage of 86% for the DMA Controller. Advanced SystemVerilog features such as assertions, coverpoints, and covergroups are incorporated into the testbench to improve its effectiveness. The proposed work also demonstrates successful verification through detailed test cases, validating the DMA controller's functionality and providing a robust basis for future enhancements in SoC design

Managers who promote ethical behavior are likely to influence the well-being of their employees. This study examined psychological empowerment as an important variable linking ethical leadership to employee well-being, work engagement, and emotional exhaustion. We used a survey to distribute questionnaires to 56 auditors from two audit firms in Bhopal. The study supported all the hypotheses that we proceed as a sample. Good and authentic ethical leadership has a strong influence on psychological influence. Thus, psychological empowerment is positively related to work engagement and negatively related to emotional exhaustion. The result showed that psychological empowerment partially mediates the effect of ethical leadership on work engagement and commitment, and it fully mediates the effect on ethical leadership and emotional intelligence. This study found that ethical leadership stimulates the psychological empowerment of employees; thus, it increases engagement and commitment to work and also reduces mental exhaustion.

The rich tapestry of India's cultural heritage is intricately woven with the threads of its traditional handloom industry. Handloom, being the second-largest employment generator next to agriculture, plays a pivotal role in the textile industry. Moreover, the products of the weavers in different parts of the state or region signify the identity of the people. As we explore the world of handloom in India, it is essential to consider the broader context of the handloom industry in the 21st century. As such, for centuries, master weavers have played a significant role in shaping and preserving the cultural legacy. In the same way that Thenzawl, the handloom hub of Mizoram, is located in the district of Serchhip, where a significant portion of the industry is handled by master weavers. More than 70 percent of weavers work under master weavers (Government of India, 1996), and little is known about their existence. The dominance of master weavers is so great that they have established weaver cooperatives, each operating in a unique manner in this particular area. So the case study focuses on the operations of master weavers as handloom entrepreneurs.

The main aim of this studywas to reduce the use of cement so as to produce a CO2 emission free cementitious material and Geopolymer Concrete (GPC) was the best alternative solution present out there. GPC utilizes industrial waste material such as fly ash from thermal power station to provide practical solution to waste management as well as environmental protection method. In this study we have used low calcium fly ash (ASTM class F), along with fly ash, water wasenable to bind effectively. Therefore we also have replaced water completely with alkaline solution to hold fly ash, aggregate and sand together. The alkaline solutions we have used are - sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium silicate (Na2SiO3). The main purpose to introduce alkaline solution was polymerization. That is the reason scientist Davidovits named this mix as geopolymer concrete. GPC required high temperature for curing to happen the polymerization, to neglect this necessity we also have used Ground Granular Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS) in the proportion FA:GGBS as 60:40. Thus, the curing of GPC was done at ambient temperature without keeping it in water unlike the conventional concrete. Amongst both the alkali solutions i.e. NaOH and Na2SiO3, sodium hydroxide was used in different molar concentration of 10M, 12M and 14M with keeping silicate to hydroxide ratio constant as 1.5, three different sets of 9 cubes and 3 cylinders were casted. It was observed that the specimen of 12M concentrated solution has the maximum compressive strength, split tensile strength.

In recent years, the retail landscape has been transformed by the rise of organized retailing. The advent of major organized retailers has led to a decline in both the market share and profit margins of unorganized merchants. This shift is largely attributed to increasing consumer income levels. The intense competition among organized retailers provides consumers with numerous choices. This paper seeks to identify the factors that influence customers' decisions when selecting a retail outlet.

Image captioning has always been a great source of help for visually impaired by generating captions for the given image. But limiting it to the captions won't be that helpful for the visually challenged. In this project we tried to give voice to our generated captions by using the concept for TTS that is text-to-speech which is more impactful and practical. To accomplish caption generation and to implement Deep learning architecture we have used Tensorflow and Keras. it is challenging to generate captions that have right linguistic properties because it requires sophisticated level of image understanding. In this project, we used VGG16 deep learning architecture for the purpose of feature extraction for the images. The generated caption's quality and accuracy are evaluated using BLEU score.

Marriage is one of the central events of human life, and besides being the primary institution for procreation and continuation, it is seen as one of the oldest social institutions in human society. It may be argued that different societies have different ideas on marriage prestation. The present study examines the tradition of Hanlam among the Lotha Nagas. It discusses the significance of Hanlam, its rituals and the customs associated with its celebration. The study relied on both secondary sources as well as on a short-term primary fieldwork to understand and capture narrations on the practice of Hanlam first hand. The researcher spent close to two months in Baghty Town in the months of March and April, 2024, interacting with the community members for data collection which provided insights into their unique perspective and experiences related to Hanlam.

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India signifies a transformative shift towards a holistic educational framework designed to address the challenges of the 21st century. By integrating humanities, arts, and STEM disciplines, the policy aims to cultivate well-rounded individuals through interdisciplinary learning, vocational training, character development, and research. Inspired by visionaries like Swami Vivekananda and Rabindranath Tagore, NEP 2020 emphasizes character building, self-sustained thinking, and a sense of service and patriotism, striving to develop graduates who are academically proficient, morally upright, and socially responsible. Moreover, NEP 2020 emphasizes value education, comprehensive development, professional training, and ethics, aiming to establish a competency-based, inclusive, and innovative educational framework. This study synthesizes quantitative data from surveys with qualitative insights gleaned from interviews and group discussions. Given that data collected through questionnaires are ordinal in nature, this study employs various non-parametric tests to uncover patterns and relationships that might not be apparent through traditional analyses. Implemented just a year ago in West Bengal, this study provides preliminary evaluations of NEP 2020 based on four established metrics, offering an early snapshot of the policy's impact on student development. Acknowledging that meaningful changes in education systems take time, ongoing monitoring will be essential to understand the long-term effects of NEP 2020 on students' overall development. The research aims to evaluate the holistic development of students across multiple dimensions, including academic performance, social interaction, mental and physical health, and life satisfaction. Findings suggest that NEP 2020's emphasis on holistic education positively impacts these dimensions, demonstrating interconnected growth in students' academic performance, social skills, physical and mental health, and overall life satisfaction.
