 Abstract

This paper intends to explore the perspective of death and removal of that fear from the Bhagavad-gitas point of view. The fear of death of oneself and the occurrence of death of others leave a grand impact on peoples psyche and consequently on their actions. Everyone faces the fear of death irrespective of any other factor. Many psychologists have researched on death and concluded that death has major psychological implications on ones personality Krishna, like a psychological counselor to Arjuna, recites the Bhagavad-gita in the mid of the battlefield to a fearful Arjuna who denies to fight after seeing his relatives as his opponents. He develops a fear of death in his heart for his relatives and for his own self. The 700 verses of Bhagavad-gita which Krishna delivers are about removing the fear of death, anxiety, attachment and anger. Krishna compares death with a process of shedding of the worn out garment and wearing a new one. The body changes many forms from infancy to old age and finally culminates into the death. But Krishna elaborates that this is the death of the body only, not of the life. Life is eternal and moves from one birth to another without losing its essence. The fear can be removed if one diligently follows the path suggested by Krishna and can attain self-realization which leads to a joyous and peaceful life.

 Abstract

Internet Usage is the prominent feature of 21st century because Internet Usage has become an integral part of everybodys life in multiple ways. Even in the field of Education the contributions of Internet are remarkable. Students approach the internet for education but gradually they get lured by the entertaining features of the internet and prefer to use internet for gaming and entertainment purposes than for knowledge purposes. Excessive Internet Use by students of all age groups is a cause of concern for teachers, parents and society at large. The researches have shown that Parents can play an important role in controlling and governing the Internet using behaviour of their children. Therefore the present study has been undertaken to study the relationship between Internet Usage and Parenting Styles and also study the impact of six different parenting styles on the Internet Usage of secondary school students. The study has been conducted on 1000 (500Boys and 500 Girls) selected through stratified random sampling technique from the secondary schools (Class IX and X) of Jalandhar district. The data has been collected through Internet Usage Scale (2016) by Saini and Kaur and Childrens Perception of Parenting Scale (2012) by Pyari and Kalra. The findings related to correlation analysis depicted that Autocratic, Over Demanding, Over Protecting and Rejecting Parenting Style have a significant positive relationship with Internet Usage whereas Accepting and Democratic Parenting Style have a significant negative relationship with Internet Usage of the secondary school students. The findings related to regression analysis depicted that Parenting Styles exert a significant impact on the Internet Usage of the secondary school students. The Autocratic, Over Demanding, Over Protecting and Rejecting Parenting Style exerts a significant positive impact on the Internet Usage of the secondary school students whereas Accepting and Democratic Parenting Style exerts a significant negative impact on the Internet Usage of the secondary school students. It indicates that strict, harsh, warmth less and over controlling attitude of parents encourages the children for excessive non essential use of Internet whereas parental warmth, affection, care, concern and appropriate discipline helps in governing the excessive non essential Internet Usage of their children.

 Abstract

Elevators are controller devices that uses switch mechanism for operation. Either the person desires to go in down or upward direction uses the keypad or even for an emergency stop or to open & close the elevator door. In todays life we can find vast variety of apartment complex crowded in close by location with multi storage building capacity. This project better fits for blind, paralyzed and physically challenged individuals, as well as regular individuals to move from one floor to other without the use of switches. The essential cause of designing this system is to perform elevator operation via voice instructions. Speech recognition system is the crucial part of the project. The speech recognition of the elevator system allows the communication mechanism between the user and the Arduino based mechanism.

 Abstract

This paper brings out the image of submissive and docile women & their transformation towards life and matters. It is to showcase how women emerge slowly realizing their strength and become confident individuals thereby rejecting limited space reserved. Women become strong and champion towards better understanding to self and society. The paper further examines the transformation aspect needed in every individual. It further throws light on the conviction and challenges required in everywoman at every stages of life. Literature witness evolution of women through ages. Thus the changing position of women in literature from the ancient times to the modern era indicates the evolution of women. Hence the changing role of women in literature from the past to the present indicates the evolution of women. From the ancient scriptures, Vedas, Upanishads, Epics and Puranas we can see how women characters have traits that had unfair moments of defeat due to their gender. Women were considered as the object of pleasure. In fact there characters were curetted and edited to suit the needs of a patriarchal society. Thus it is apparent from the medieval literature that the women characters underwent significant changes and now as days passed on women gradually began to express more of her opinion and had equal role in the society. An Indian Writer in English, deals with the Indian womens struggle and male domination in the society. The writer explains the disadvantages women face in an orthodox family. Her contribution consists of exploring the inner world of women characters and their effort to cope with the challenges to achieve harmony.

 Abstract

The Perini, the important form, is described elaborately in all the three works, Nrittaratnavali, Sangitharatnakara and Sangithasamayasara. The name Perini is given as Pera?i in Sangitasamayasara. Nritta is the opening dance; kaivara/kavicara, the Sanskrit name given by sarangdeva, is in praise of sabhapathi or the hero. The third item called Garghara vadhya is an elaborate one; the sangithasamayasara gives a brief definition of it in a single verse but it really comprises seven (according to Nrittaratnavali) and six (according to Sangitharatnakara). These six or seven are different ways of sounding the small bells on the legs of the Perini, a special feature of this dance, with different kinds of foot-beats or without them. And the last book which described about Perini is Sabharanjani which was written by Sri Velugoti Sarvagna kumar Yachendra the author explained Perini in a fewer amount.

 Abstract

The Sang?taratn?kara treatise was written by S?rangadeva in 13th cen. under the patronage of the Yadava King Singhana. It has total eight chapters. Except seventh the remaining seven chapters deals with Indian music and the Seventh chapter Nartanadhyaya is totally dealt with the dance. In chapter seven the author S?rangadeva mentioned Peranin and Peranin Paddhathi in the last section of practice procedure. In the Perinin definition which is similar to Nandikeshwaras Bharat?r?ava but he did not mention his name or treatise but the five elements of Perinin (Gharghara, Vishama, Bh?v??raya, Kavac?raka and G?ta) are same in order. Even he did not discussed about Sapta Lasyas (Suddha, De?i, Perini, Prenkhana, Dan?ika and kala?a) but he directly elucidated about Perini as Perani and Peranin. So I have taken only Perani part and elaborated here in detail.

 Abstract

About 60% to 70% of the energy demand of the country is met by fuel wood and agriculture residues. Solar energy is a renewable source of energy, which has a great potential and it is radiated by the sun. Renewable energy is important to replace the using of electric energy generated by petroleum. Solar power has become a source of renewable energy and solar energy application should be enhanced. The solar PV modules are generally employed in dusty environments which are the case tropical countries like India. The dust gets accumulated on the front surface of the module and blocks the incident light from the sun. It reduces the power generation capacity of the module. The power output reduces as much as by 50% if the module is not cleaned for a month. The cleaning system has been designed cleans the module by controlling the motorized chain sprocket arrangement. To remove the dust in the PV modules to improving the power efficiency.

 Abstract

The control and safety in oil depots or refineries plays a vital role in providing safety for working personnel and retains the accuracy in the control and maintenance of machines and minimizes the injuries of the work personnel due to hazardous risks occurred due to human errors or natural calamities etc,. However we can find the rapid development in the field of automation in few industries traditional methods are still followed to measure the operating temperature and pressure which causes life risks to the personnel at the site. In October 2009, the Jaipur oil depot broke out with fire at Indian oil Corporation (IOC). This incident occurred when petrol was being transferred from IOC to a pipeline which caused the explosion till 3 km from the accident site this caused a death of 12 and injuries over 200. To overcome this above mentioned issues, automation of control and safety systems known as Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) are being adapted in the industries to control and maintain the safety of the huge refineries or plants. This system is the integration of both Distributed Control System (DCS) and Safety Integrated System (SIS). DCS controls and apprehend the signals coming from the field to the Field Controller Station (FCS) which is connected to the Human Interface System (HIS) placed in the control room along with DCS, SIS, and FCS connected through a communication protocol called VNETIP. SIS monitors and maintains the hazardous activities which take place at the site through an indicating beep alarm or a hazard window on the HIS. HIS is been loaded with the P & ID graphics which mocks similar to that of the signals coming from the field, making the controlling personnel easy to locate the issues which occurs at the site. This design mainly focuses on the provision of the control and safety required for maintaining and monitoring the desired temperature and pressure for the hydrocarbon basin development of the oil hill reservoirs which requires a hydraulic fracture simulation for more effective commercial production thus; ICSS plays an important role in this process

 Abstract

Psychological features are increasingly regarded as prospective predictors of cardiovascular disease (CVD) apart from traditional risk variables. When debating the relationship between psychological variables and CVD, the concept of stress is important. "Perceived stress" introduces a global and inclusive stress construct among stress categories and definitions, but it has not been much highlighted yet. Thus, perceived stress was studied and evaluated in the present research with regards to cardiovascular health. Objective: In the current study, an effort was made to study the role of perceived stress among cardiac patients compared to a healthy control group. Method: A sample of 26 adults were selected wherein 13 cardiac patients and 13 healthy adults were present in each group. Purposive sampling technique was used to collect the sample. Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-14) by Sheldon Cohen (1983) was used as a research tool to collect the data. Administration, scoring, and interpretation was done as per the test manual. Students t-test was used to statistically analyze the data. Result & Conclusion: There was a significant difference found in the level of perceived stress between the two groups, that is, cardiac patients and the healthy control group. The result showed higher perceived stress among healthy adults as compared to cardiac patients. This result will further be discussed in light of previous studies in detail in the research paper.
