 Abstract

The aspiration to shape the health and qualities of offspring predates modern science. Ancient Ayurvedic texts codify Pumsavana Karma, a prenatal sacrament employing herbal preparations, dietary regulation, and ritual practices while contemporary genetic medicine deploys CRISPR-Cas9 and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) to achieve similar goals through direct embryonic genome manipulation.1,2

 Abstract

Women fishmongers constitute an indispensable yet highly vulnerable segment of the informal coastal economy in urban India. Operating primarily within competitive, perishable retail structures, these women face elongated working hours, unpredictable income streams, and strenuous physical conditions. Consequently, managing a healthy equilibrium between professional demands and domestic obligations poses a critical structural challenge. This study presents an empirical investigation into the socio-economic determinants, structural challenges, and familial realities shaping the work-life balance of women fishmongers across major fish markets in Mangalore city. Utilizing a structured sampling design, primary data was collected from active retail fish vendors through questionnaires and field interviews, supplemented by secondary literature reviews. The empirical results reveal that severe infrastructural constraints, minimal social security measures, and rigid patriarchal expectations significantly exacerbate work-life conflict, directly affecting their physical well-being and domestic stability. Conversely, family-driven support structures and localized community networks offer vital resilience mechanisms. The study concludes with actionable, targeted structural and policy recommendations aimed at building safer market environments, establishing microfinance security nets, and deploying formal welfare architectures to improve the socio-economic status of these working women.

 Abstract

The 2023-2025 Gaza crisis has been a watershed moment for the politics of representation of genocide. Where states and institutions wobbled, social media has emerged as the primary site of global witnessing, resistance, and contestation of narratives. This short communication charts the contours of how algorithmically shaped visibility, user-led content creation, and digital activism have reshaped the discourse on genocide in Gaza. It contends that the traditional forms of accountability have been replaced with what we refer to here as 'algorithmic witnessing'--a politically and morally decentralized phenomenon wherein visibility outpaces legal legitimacy. Via a combination of relevant digital data, platform policy analysis and dissent diffusion, the paper offers a general account of the limited but transformative power of social media in countering the violence of the state.

 Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has greatly changed recruitment by making the process faster, more accurate, and better at decision-making in hiring. Companies from various sectors are increasingly using AI tools like resume screening systems, chatbots, predictive analytics, and automated interview platforms. These tools help simplify hiring activities. This study looks at AI's impact on modern recruitment and its effects on efficiency, candidate experience, hiring quality, and overall organizational performance. The global recruitment industry has rapidly embraced digital changes since the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizations are moving toward technology-based hiring practices. Recent reports show that about 75% of recruiters worldwide now use AI software for candidate screening and talent acquisition. In India, the market for recruitment technology is growing quickly due to more digital practices, remote hiring, and rising demand for skilled workers. Major firms like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, and Accenture have adopted AI tools in their recruitment systems to improve results. AI recruitment systems help organizations shorten hiring times, remove repetitive tasks, and find suitable candidates through data analysis. Tools like Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), machine learning algorithms, and natural language processing allow recruiters to sift through large numbers of applications efficiently. Furthermore, AI chatbots improve candidate engagement by offering quick answers and personalized communication during the recruitment process. Though AI has its benefits, it also raises issues about bias in algorithms, data privacy, reduced human interaction, and excessive reliance on automation. The study points out that while AI speeds up recruitment and boosts operational efficiency, human judgment is still crucial for assessing soft skills, emotional intelligence, and cultural fit. The research uses a descriptive and analytical design with primary data gathered from structured questionnaires filled out by HR professionals, recruiters, and job applicants. The findings show that AI significantly improves recruitment efficiency, lowers costs, enhances the accuracy of candidate screening, and leads to better hiring decisions. However, ethical issues and technology limitations continue to pose challenges for its implementation. The study concludes that AI is redefining the future of recruitment by establishing more efficient and data-oriented hiring systems. Organizations that successfully merge AI capabilities with human expertise are more likely to gain a lasting competitive edge in talent acquisition and workforce management.

 Abstract

Religious tourism is an important and continuous segment of travel in Andhra Pradesh because it links faith, culture, local mobility, community livelihoods and public infrastructure. This study examines the socio-economic contribution of religious tourism in Andhra Pradesh with special focus on Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, Srisailam Temple and Vijayawada Kanaka Durga Temple. A descriptive and analytical research design was adopted by using both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through a structured questionnaire from 174 respondents, including pilgrims, local residents and service providers. Secondary information was compiled from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, official temple websites, tourism statistics and relevant published sources. Percentage analysis, weighted mean score, expenditure estimation, district-wise tourist visit comparison and a one-sample proportion z-test were used for interpretation. The findings show that religious tourism contributes to employment generation, local business activity, accommodation services, transport, prasadam and food services, shopping, cultural practices and infrastructure development. The primary survey indicates that 66.09 per cent of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that religious tourism creates employment and income opportunities for local people. At the same time, crowding, waiting time, accommodation shortage, high prices and language-related difficulties remain major concerns. The study concludes that religious tourism can become a stronger tool of inclusive and sustainable development when temple administration, local bodies and tourism departments coordinate sanitation, digital services, skill development, crowd management and responsible destination planning.

 Abstract

Without Resources an organisation is incomplete. An organisation is composed of four resources namely men, material, money and machinery. These 4 resources play a very important role in every organisation. From these 4 resources one is living i.e human being and others are non living. Without human beings no organisation can achieve their target. The organisation cannot achieve their goal without human beings effort. Hence, human beings are most significant asset of every organisation. Human resources are nothing but all the people ranging from lower level management to upper level management. In every organisation there are talented, intelligent, motivated, hardworking, sincere workforces who represent brand value for every organisation. Therefore we can say that they are the real asset of an organisation. Health sector is one of the most challenging sectors of our country. The shortage of human resources in health sector may cause to death. The scarcity of qualified person in health sector is a very big problem in Orissa. In Orissa there is less no of qualified health workers in rural areas. There is more absenteeism of health workers especially in rural areas in Orissa.
