Paediatric emergencies are a significant concern, frequently affecting children and causing higher mortality rates in those aged 1 to 4 years compared to other childhood groups. A pre-experimental, one-group pre-test post-test design was employed, involving 50 mothers of under-five children selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire. Pre-test findings revealed that 26% of mothers had inadequate knowledge, while 74% had moderate knowledge, with no participants demonstrating adequate knowledge. Post-test results showed a notable improvement: 32% had moderate knowledge, and 68% achieved adequate knowledge. The study concluded that the self-instructional module effectively enhanced mothers' knowledge of first aid for paediatric emergencies.

Education has always been found as the foundational root in Indian tradition. The education in the ancient Indian tradition was quite different and unique. They follow the system of Gurukul, where the students were taught in a natural setting and focused on the holistic approach to education. This study explores the ancient teacher education practices in India, focusing on their education system, pedagogical model, curriculum, philosophical ideals. In the Gurukul system they emphasized not only on intellectual development, but gave importance on moral and spiritual development. The primary objective of this study is to identify the wealth of knowledge related to teacher education in Indian tradition. This resorts to the secondary sources available in the area of study. It is expected that the scholars and the faculty in education will have another resource added to the reservior of knowledge related to teacher preparation in ancient education system.

Abstract This study explores the impact of null-subjectivity, a linguistic parameter differentiating languages like Arabic (pro-drop) from English (non-pro-drop), on the English language acquisition process of Iraqi university undergraduates. Arabic, the L1 of the participants, allows for the omission of subject pronouns, whereas English mandates their presence in finite clauses. This typological divergence is hypothesized to cause significant learning challenges. Adopting a mixed-methods case study approach, this research involved 60 Iraqi EFL undergraduates. Data were collected through a Grammaticality Judgment Task (GJT), a written production task, and semi-structured interviews. The findings reveal persistent subject omission errors in the L2 English of Iraqi learners, directly attributable to L1 transfer. Quantitative analysis of GJT and written tasks indicated a high frequency of errors related to subject presence, particularly in declarative sentences and simple clauses. Qualitative data from interviews corroborated these findings, with students expressing difficulty in consistently applying English subject-verb agreement rules and recognizing the obligatory nature of English subjects. The study underscores the pedagogical need for explicit instruction on the syntactic differences concerning subject realization between Arabic and English. It also contributes to the broader understanding of L1 transfer in SLA, particularly within the framework of Universal Grammar and parameter resetting.

This study of the title is an attempt to re-evaluate Gandhian ideology and Gram Swaraj in the modern context. The life and work of Nanaji Deshmukh has been dedicated to the empowerment of Indian rural society. He took many initiatives for rural development, following Gandhi's ideals of swaraj and self-reliance. This research shows how Nanaji's work and ideas are still relevant today, especially when India is witnessing accelerating trends of urbanisation and industrialisation. At a time when rural India is facing many social, economic and environmental challenges, Nanaji's ideas of Gram Swaraj remind us of the importance of self-reliance, social inclusion and local self-governance.The study also underlines the need for re-promoting Gandhian values such as truth, non-violence, simplicity and social service with awareness. In this way, Nanaji's life and thoughts inspire us to develop new models of village development and empower rural life in modern India.Ultimately, this research is an attempt at a modern reinterpretation of Gandhian ideology to provide guidance for prosperity and sustainable development of rural India.

This study aims to examine the impact of ALM on commercial bank profitability in the Indian financial system. The SCA model was used to compare profitability, as measured by ROA, to balance sheet and macroeconomic explanatory variables. This study chose eight commercial banks from 2014 to 2023. The study's hypotheses state that the rate of return on earning assets is positive and varies by asset, but the rate of cost on liabilities is negative and varies by obligation. The pooled OLS regression analysis revealed that all assets, with the exception of fixed assets, primarily loans and advances, have a positive impact on profitability, while all liabilities, primarily savings and fixed deposits, as well as other liabilities and credit balances, have a significant and negative impact on commercial bank profitability. In terms of macroeconomic variables, the real GDP growth rate reduces commercial bank profitability. As a result, the study suggested that commercial banks focus on improving public awareness in order to mobilise more savings and fixed deposits, which would improve their ability to provide loans and advances to consumers.

Regardless of the advancements in every area, we still deal with issues in the world we live in. For hazardous illnesses in medicine, cure option is less available, so good diagnosis is important; this is possible only with modern tools. Due to the need of multiple doctor opinions, getting a diagnosis can take a lot of time. Since opinions differ from one person to another because of Because there are bound to be mistakes in the process, using a model like VGG-16, ResNet50, Alex-net, DenseNet121, DenseNet169 and even custom transfer learning models can be used. Then a web application is designed so the process is easy for all you just need to upload your images to the website sharing the percentage of pneumonia with the person who needed the help.

The issue of the right to die with dignity is increasingly becoming a key concern in modern bioethics, law, and healthcare, highlighting the struggle to balance personal autonomy with ethical and legal concerns in fora concerning death and dying. As medical technology advances, with a parallel rise in average life expectancy, dying patients become keen to make the choice of when and how they die. This paper explores the meaning of dying with dignity on many levels, including an analysis of legal and ethical discourse about assisted dying: euthanasia, and physician-assisted suicide. Through an assessment of and comparison between the Netherlands, Canada, Belgium, and some American states where assisted dying is legalized, this paper illustrates the variety of legal mechanisms and safeguards set in place to protect vulnerable persons. Ethically speaking, there exists a delicate tension between the respect for one's autonomy--the very decided right of an individual to decide what will or will never happen to their own body--and the sanctity of life, a concept often rooted in cultural, religious beliefs, or other moral considerations. The role of the healthcare professional in mediating these complicated decisions is critically analyzed, elucidating the necessity of concrete guidelines and the practice of compassion. Considerations of these issues affect not just the patients and families directly involved but also society at large, which must reconcile evolving interpretations of human rights with its traditional values. By putting together legal cases, ethical viewpoints, and real-world problems, this study is intended to add to the discourse concerning how best to respect dignity, autonomy, and moral integrity at the close of life.

This paper seeks to throw light on the development of translation, terminology and translation terminology by first looking at the development of each throughout time. By taking a special look at globalization at the pivotal point of the increase in demand for the same, it seeks to highlight the ever-growing demand of translation and the speed at which it is demanded in the digitized world. Translation in simple terms would be the conversion of source language material into its closest equivalent in the target language. Terminology refers to the well-defined terms used in specialized domains by experts among themselves, which may be difficult for lay people to understand. Terminology development is the process of constantly updating terminologies with respect to the expanding linguistic landscape. This paper dives deep into the rules laid by linguistic organizations for the development of such termini.
