 Abstract

Soil is a vital substance for all creatures in the world, soil has vast usage in different parts such as agriculture, civil work, foundation, bridges, embankment, buildings, canals, tunneling etc. Soil has different types and all the types of soil cannot fulfill all requirements of engineering properties and cannot stand against the properties such as mechanical strength, permeability, compressibility etc. among the different types of soils expansive soil is a weak soil which has less shear strength and should be stabilized for various construction purposes. Stabilization is the process of blending materials with soil in order to improve certain properties of soil like plasticity index, gradation, texture or act as a binder for the cementation of soil. Normally stabilization of soil is done by adding additives like lime, cement, etc. Cement stabilization is one of the effective stabilization processes but proves to be very costly in a long run. So, it needs an economic replacement by such materials which possess the same properties as that possessed by cement. It is being found that Pond ash possesses pozzolanic properties having silica as main component and Egg shell powder is having calcium oxide as its main component both being the main constituents of cement. Therefore, cement can be replaced partially or fully by these two waste materials in soil stabilization. A huge amount of eggshell and pond ash wastes is produced every year and there is an absence of effective waste disposal. Hence it is proposed to utilize ESP and pond ash for soil improvement which serves two purposes like waste utilization and also soil stabilization. In this present study, the two waste materials used are PA and ESP in different proportions. PA is first added in natural soil in different proportions like 3%, 5%, 7%, 9%and 11% by weight of soil and 5% PA was found an optimum proportion based on UCS values. After finding the optimum proportion of PA-soil mix i.e., 5% Then ESP was added in different proportions like 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% and 10% to the Soil-PA mix. From test results it was found that the UCS got a maximum value of 271.24 KN/m2 at 6% ESP.

 Abstract

Vehicle accidents often occur due to the sudden appearance of obstacles while driving. The varying response times of drivers can result in delayed braking or an inability to stop in time, leading to collisions. To address this issue, we propose an Autonomous Braking System (ABS) that utilizes advanced mechatronic technology The system uses an Ultrasonic wave emitter at the front of the vehicle to send out Ultrasonic waves. When these waves hit an obstacle, they bounce back and are detected by an Ultrasonic receiver. By analyzing these reflected signals, the system calculates the distance to the obstacle and adjusts the vehicle's speed accordingly through a microprocessor. In emergency situations, the microcontroller takes control and activates the braking system to apply the brakes quickly and effectively, enhancing safety. An important enhancement to this system is the integration of a Python-based application using Flask. This application can dynamically determine the location of an incident and communicate it to the nearest emergency services using real-time geographical data. This communication is facilitated through GSM technology, which sends alarm signals and the vehicle's GPS location to the appropriate authorities, ensuring a prompt response and assistance Additionally, the system can be expanded to include inter-vehicle communication capabilities. This feature allows cars to share information about their locations and speeds, improving road cooperation and awareness. This not only reduces collisions but also helps in creating smoother traffic flow. Overall, the Autonomous Braking System aims to improve road safety by reducing response times and stopping distances, thereby preventing accidents and significantly enhancing emergency response capabilities.

 Abstract

Neurological and behavioral symptoms arising from medical conditions can significantly impact daily life due to their influence on brain structure and function. Early and accurate detection of these conditions is crucial, prompting significant interest in the application of computer-aided algorithms for diagnosis. Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), particularly deep learning, offer novel solutions. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) are being explored for their potential to analyze medical imaging data, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans, in the identification of these conditions. Deep learning algorithms demonstrate promising results with high accuracy. The accuracy rates for certain architectures, such as 18-layer CNN models, have been reported to exceed 98% in studies utilizing the powerful computer systems equipped with CUDA-enabled GPUs and large data sets of MRI scans from initiatives like Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI). These results indicate that deep learning-based methods have the potential to improve and expedite medical diagnoses, paving the way for advancements in patient care.

 Abstract

Brain abscess / intracranial abscess is a central nervous system disease caused by the infection from bacterial viral ,fungal etc. sources leading to a pus filled capsule inside the brain. It is a complicated and life threatening disease since currently there are no widely accepted neurosurgical management guidelines. Brain abscess has a high morbidity and mortality rate thus, the disease is currently a major public health problem. Majority of the pathogens are bacterial in nature eg -streptococcus , staphylococcus etc. In this study ,we have established some therapeutics against brain abscess using in silico network biology approaches. The selection of therapeutics and antibiotics depends on the microorganisms isolated from blood or CSF and their ability to cross the natural barriers of brain (BBB). The construction of network consisting genes associated with brain abscess were collected from different databases like malacard, genecard, and thorough literature study using cytoscape. The network consists of nodes representing genes and interactions between them. We identified two hub genes (STAT3 and IL6)from the network having highest degree and satisfying various parameters like MCC,MNC,stress etc. .We analyzed the role of target gene in brain abscess. A virtual library consisting of various antimicrobial compounds as ligands was made .Molecular Docking using auto dock vina1.5.6 version was done and through this study we found out promising therapeutics against brain abscess .In conclusion we found out the role of STAT3 and IL6 gene in brain abscess and established therapeutics against the causative agents . The docking simulations revealed several promising candidates with high binding affinity and favorable interaction patterns with the target proteins implicated in brain abscess pathophysiology. Furthermore, structural analysis of the ligand-receptor complexes provided insights into the molecular mechanisms of action and potential modes of inhibition for the identified compounds. Our findings highlight the potential of computational docking techniques in accelerating the discovery and development of novel therapeutics for brain abscess treatment. Future experimental validation of the identified lead compounds is warranted to confirm their efficacy, selectivity, and safety profiles in preclinical and clinical settings. Overall, this computational study contributes to the ongoing efforts to combat brain abscesses and improve patient outcomes through the rational design of targeted pharmacological interventions.

 Abstract

Customary law constitutes a prominent part of the culture, especially in North East India ie the tribal society. There is also an interesting interest in the customary law of tribal societies. Customary Laws are the customs, traditional practices, and rules followed by the tribal society from time immemorial. It reflects and represents the distinct a unique features of a tribe because customary law differs from tribe to tribe. If we investigate the definition of customary law there is no accepted definition, Customary laws include principles or values rules, and code of conduct, and established economic practices. They are enforced by community institutions and can have sanctions attached. They are locally recognized. Orally held, adaptable, and evolving (Swiderska,2009). The present paper aims to study the customary laws relating to women's inheritance and marriage in the Lotha tribe in Nagaland. The primary source was collected through the interview method and for secondary source it was relied on studies that were conducted on similar papers relating to tribal areas. The Lotha society is patriarchal and patrilineal so according to Customary law dealing with property rights in traditional Lotha society it was the son who inherits the immovable property. Women had less say when it came to property inheritance. The daughters have no share in it. In the absence of sons to inherit the father's property, then the properties are divided among the father's immediate relatives. All properties are exclusively inheritable, both movable and immovable goods, according to the Lotha custom. Women can purchase any property by using the money given by their parents or self-earned money. Yet her sons can only inherit those properties. In no case or condition, these properties can be diverted back to her parents or to their family members. (Athungo,2015:140) Equality and equal treatment of genders have become universally accepted norms. The women's rights movement has gone through a long struggle to achieve this recognition. More efforts are needed to ensure the proper implementation of equality and equal treatment of genders. There is a question of whether customary law relating to gender should be discarded and given up in order to achieve gender equality.
