 Abstract

The studies considered in this review of recent research on the relationship between empathy, self-efficacy and academic achievement can be divided into two stages: (1) studies in which the focus was related to the association between empathy and academic achievement, (2) studies in which the focus was related to the association between self-efficacy and academic achievement. This paper incorporates forty- two studies pertinent to the association between empathy, self- efficacy and academic achievement. Out of forty-two research studies, nine of them are from India and thirty-three are from abroad. A critical analysis of the studies reviewed has been presented as well taking into account four dimensions i.e. variables, design, participants and findings. From the studies reviewed, it was found that the recent existing literature offers a mixed result on the relationship between empathy, self-efficacy and academic achievement. Some studies depicted a significant relationship among the variables and some did not. There is a lack of consistent result on the relationship between these variables. It is argued that, in future research, more attention needs to be paid to understand the relationship between these variables.

 Abstract

Intellectual disabilities of all kinds have been documented throughout history. Society has been often unkind to people with intellectual disability and sentenced them to prison or even death. However, present societies are working toward desegregation and support of intellectually disabled individuals. Intellectual disability is a generalized disorder characterized by impaired cognitive functioning. This disorder is rooted in childhood. In this study, the objectives were to study the effectiveness of life skills training on the social maturity of children with mild intellectual disability with respect to their age, to study the effectiveness of life skills training on the social maturity of children domain wise. The results are showing that pretest mild intellectual disabled children were not having IQ as high as it is posttest, which illustrates the training of children and developing their life skills.

 Abstract

Abstract Maternal and child health is a crucial component of the healthcare system in any country, and providing quality nursing care during childbirth is an essential part of ensuring good health outcomes for both the mother and the baby. This study aims to explore the effects of implementing holistic nursing interventions on the quality of nursing care in the labor room of a selected hospital in Kerala. The study design used was quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted in the labour room of Baby memorial hospital in Kerala. Total enumeration sampling was used for subject selection and the study included all registered nurses (24 nurses) who were working in the labour room of Baby memorial hospital. Data collected using a structured questionnaire to assess the knowledge about holistic nursing interventions and an observation checklist to assess the quality care in labour. The result indicated that there was a significant difference in the mean knowledge score (t=15.000, p< 0.001) in the pretest and post test among nurses in labour room and also there was significant difference in quality care in labour room (t=77.097, p< 0.001) before and after implementation of HNI in labour room.

 Abstract

Abstract: Ophio-faunal diversity and composition in the Ramnagar area of Purba Medinipur District in West Bengal were studied through a survey from 1.4.2022 to 31.3.2023. A total of 4887 snakes (19 species) had been reported to have been observed by local people and staff of the forest department. Rat snakes were mostly observed, and king cobras were the least observed snakes. The diversity index of snake fauna was 2.6, species richness was 2.12, and species evenness was 0.88.

 Abstract

Agriculture is a major industry in many nations, including India. Because farm output accounts for a large portion of the Indian financial system, careful examination of Critical challenges with food production exist. Crop infection nomenclature and identification now hold more scientific and financial weight in the agricultural industry. It may be highly expensive to keep track of plant ailments in an agricultural area with the assistance of professionals. A technique or system that can automatically diagnose is required. diseases because it has the potential to revolutionize monitoring. Massive crop fields and plant leaflets can be taken. Cotton leaf disease diagnosis is critical for preventing a catastrophic outbreak. Immediately following disease recognition, the purpose of this study is to provide guidance for the creation of an application that recognizes cotton plant leaf diseases. To use this, the user must first submit a photograph of a cotton leaf, and then use image processing to obtain a digitized color image of a damaged leaf, which may then be processed further by applying the mobilenet algorithm to anticipate the true root cause of the cotton leaf disease.

 Abstract

Breast cancer is a prevalent cancer type among women worldwide. Medical imaging techniques, such as X-ray mammography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasound, have their limitations. The objective of this study was to develop a new method to detect the presence of malignant tumors using a microstrip patch antenna designed in the ISM frequency range, along with two types of 3D breast phantoms. The study aimed to identify cancerous tumors in the breast phantom by analyzing the variation of S11 parameters. The efficiency and reflection parameters were evaluated. This technique is advantageous because it uses microwaves, which are non-ionizing and do not harm biological tissues. By detecting changes in the reflection coefficient and observing higher S11 values in the presence of a tumor, this method can detect breast tumors effectively.

 Abstract

The sun's radiation, which generates electricity, is referred to as solar energy. Solar energy is a vast, abundant, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly source of renewable energy. Because of these characteristics, the world is currently researching and discovering the most cost-effective way to harness this energy, and the solar tracking system is the result of that search. Solar panels were developed to generate this energy by absorbing sun rays and converting them into electricity or heat. This report provides an overview of solar PV cells and the materials required to construct them. There's also a discussion of the various types of solar PV systems, solar dirt cleaning and solar tracking systems. But mostly it focuses on the design and performance analysis of various dual axis tracking solar systems that have recently been proposed.
