 Abstract

This Document provides an idea of working and methodology of building a low-cost ventilator. Based on reviewed literature a simple, easy to use, and easy to build design of a low- cost portable ventilator is proposed. The ventilator prototype uses IOT technology to provide real-time tracking of temperature and Breaths per minute of the patient.

 Abstract

The objective of the study is to analyse the impact of operating performance on profitability of the cement industry in India. The data has been collected of five cement Companies from the year 2008-09 to 2017-18. In this study is used various operating ratios have been used as the proxy of the indicators of the operating performance of the companies while a return on assets has been used as the determinant of profitability. In the study quantitative methods has been used. Standard deviation, correlation and regression have been used to analyse of the objective of study. The Study found that correlation shows that there is positive relationship between dependent variable (ROA) and independent variables (OPR, FATR) except the operating cycle. It also found that inverse relationship between ROA and operating cycle. FATR has more impact on the profitability (ROA) of the companies than the OPR and OPC.

 Abstract

The constituents of essential oils are having an important characteristics constituent that can be used in cancer prevention and treatment. The Monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, oxygenated monoterpenes, oxygenated sesquiterpenes, phenolics, and other essential oil constituents from aromatic herbs and dietary plants include monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, oxygenated sesquiterpenes, phenolics, and others shows anticarcinogenic, antioxidant, antimutagenic, anti-proliferative, and enhancement of immunity are just a few of the mechanisms. Enzyme induction and detoxification enhancement, immune functions and surveillance multi-drug resistance modulation and synergistic mechanisms of volatile constituents are discussed. Their chemo-preventive properties are due to them. This review focuses on the most recent releases to summarize structural categories and molecular anticancer mechanisms in the literature aromatic herbs and dietary plants constituents.

 Abstract

Employee retention has been a tedious task in Information Technology (IT) industry since several years. Researchers propose to analyze the retention of Gen Y employees using the variables like Co-worker relationship, Rewards and recognition, Career advancement, Job autonomy and Work-life balance. The target population of the study was employees working with IT firms in Technopark Trivandrum, Kerala. The sample for the study constitutes 250 Generation Y, employees from the select IT firms in Trivandrum, Kerala. Online questionnaire was administered to 250 Gen- Y employees working in Technopark campus Trivandrum. The study analyzed the relationship between Co-worker relationship, Rewards and recognition, Career advancement, Job autonomy, Work-life balance and Employee Retention. The Correlation analysis shows that all the five factors of Retention have a positive significant relationship with employee retention. Analysis based on multiple regression revealed that Rewards and recognition contributes more towards Gen-Y employee retention than other factors with ? value, 0.570 and p<0.01. It is followed by Job autonomy with ? value, 0.487 and p<0.01. The factor that contributed least to employee retention among the five factors considered was Coworker relationship (? = 0.126, p<0.01). The study suggests that organizations need to have a sufficient reward system and every employee must be equally recognized by management for better retention. Job Autonomy must be given to each and every employee so as to help employees get retained in the company for a long run. The study implies that organizations should concentrate more on career counseling facilities, career mentors and career planning. They can also implement more effective career development programs to help employees remain long in the organization. Organizations should ensure that work-life balance practices are in place so that it may in turn leads to retention. This study may also be replicated in other similar organizations to compare the outcomes.

 Abstract

An income tax is a tax levied on individuals or businesses based on their earnings or profits. The societal development needs, the government's social welfare initiatives, the modernization of governmental services, and so on all necessitate a large sum of money. As a result, a government can only function properly if it is adequately funded. As a result, it is the people's responsibility to pay taxes, and the government's right to charge and collect taxes from them. It is necessary for people to have a basic knowledge about the tax concepts and different type of taxes that is paid by them in our country. The study is mainly conducted to study the basic knowledge and awareness of tax concepts among salaried employees and the study also aims to determine whether the tax evasion practices by others are affecting tax paying behaviors of sample respondents. The required for the study was collected from 100 salaried employees who lives in Bangalore City and is a tax payer for the assessing year 2021-2022. The result states that there is no significant difference between gender and qualification with awareness level among salaried employees. The study also shows that there is significant relationship between perception of tax evasion and tax evasion practices.

 Abstract

Farming populace of the state has remained for so long under the clutches of ignorance and negligence from every spheres of existence. In other words, they have become the forgotten segment of the society. However, more inclusively, they form the backbone of our economy. Many issues kept pressing day in and day out in their daily activities and this hinder them from progressing further. The melancholic cries of the farmers in the agricultural sectors do not occur as a shocking matter as these poor citizens are deprived of needed assistance when they needed the most. Farmers are entrepreneurs, sons of the soil and have been entrepreneurial since time immemorial. Therefore, the core objective of the paper is to deal solely with the roles and the hindrances of farmers towards nurturing entrepreneurship in Manipur.

 Abstract

Urban storm water drainage systems have got priority in India only after drinking water supply and sewerage projects in majority of the cases. Due to fast pace of urbanization and migration of people from rural areas to urban areas in quest of livelihood and better education, there has been immense pressure on urban infrastructure, worsening the problem of urban drainage systems in India. Urban floods are the floods occurring in urban areas, and are primarily caused by heavy rainfall overwhelming the drainage capacity. The megalopolises (mega cities) have a long history of municipal drainage perceptions since the British era. Most of the underground drainage facilities within core clusters of these mega cities are usually century old antiquated brick masonry conduits. The existing storm water collection network in these cities is mainly designed to serve as a combined system for sewage as well as storm water runoff. Augmentation and rehabilitation including separation of storm water from sewage in such facilities invite highest level of challenges for municipal engineers and financial resources.
