Since COVID-19, the time spent on the smartphone has increased [1]. Increased use of smartphones might lead to problematic usage which can have negative effects on physical and mental health [2]. Studies have concluded that problematic smartphone usage is positively associated with mind wandering [3]. Thus, an increase in problematic smartphone usage will result in increased mind wandering. Both problematic smartphone usage and mind wandering resulted in poor academic performance, road accidents, academic procrastination, sleep problems, loneliness, anxiety, and depression [4]. Studies have shown that young adults engage in problematic smartphone usage and they report more mind wandering. Also, people use their smartphones [5] and mind wandering [6][7] as a coping strategy to deal with negative thoughts and emotions, which is maladaptive. These factors make the intervening of these variables the need of the hour. The present study aimed to find the effectiveness of mindfulness-based intervention that addresses difficult thoughts and emotions on problematic smartphone usage and mind wandering among college students in Chennai. The sample consisted of 70 female college students between the ages 18-22 years. The 70 students were randomly assigned to intervention (n=35) and control group (n=35). Results revealed that at post-intervention a significant difference in the problematic smartphone usage (t (30) =6.611, p< 0.001) and mind wandering (t (30) =6.165, p< 0.001) scores were observed in the intervention group whereas no difference was observed in the control group. The effect size of the intervention was also found to be large for problematic smartphone usage (d= 1.6) and mind wandering (d= 1.5). In conclusion, mindfulness-based intervention that addresses difficult thoughts and emotions can reduce problematic smartphone usage and mind wandering among college students in Chennai.

In the present investigation, a simple, sensitive, precise and accurate RP- HPLC method was developed for the quantitative estimation of Albendazole and Levamisole in bulk drug and pharmaceutical dosage forms.Albendazole was found to be soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide, strong acids, and strong bases. It is slig htly soluble in methanol, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and Acetonitrile. Albendazole is practically in soluble in water. Levamisole was found to be freely soluble in water; soluble in ethanol (~750 g/L), soluble in methanol and propylene glycol, slightly soluble in chloroform.Methanol: TEA Bufferl(pH-3.8) (30:70v/v) was chosen as the mobile phase. The solvent system used in this method was economical. The %RSD values were within 2 and the method was found to be precise. The results expressed in Tables for RP-HPLC method was promising. TheRP-HPLC method is more sensitive, accurate and precise compared to the Spectrometer methods. This method can be used for the routine determination of Albendazole and Levamisole in bulk drug and Pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Background: Awareness of alarming signs among pregnant women is the first essential step in accepting appropriate and timely referral. Also, it is important in improving maternal and fetal health outcomes. Aim: The present study aimed to assess the practice of antenatal women towards identification of alarming signs leading to obstetrical emergencies during pregnancy, labour and puerperium. Methods: A quasi experimental reserach design was utilized at khanam's Hospital and Nursing Home, Hazuri Bagh, Srinagar on 30 pregnant women who had been chosen by convenient sampling technique. A structured interview schedule was used based on the recent reviews of literature. The tool included Socio-Demographic Characteristics, Obstetrical Characteristics, assessment of risk factors related to alarming signs leading to Obstetrical emergencies, Practice assessment towards identification of alarming signs leading to Obstetrical Emergencies. Results: revealed that in Experimental group, 66.7% had present history of obstetric complications, 66.7% had some medical condition presently, 66.7% had family history of medical while as in Control group, 53.3% of the subjects had previous history of obstetric complications, 66.7% had present history of obstetric complications, 66.7% had some medical condition presently, 60% had family history of medical condition. Thus the most commonly reported risk factor related to alarming sign was present history of obstetric complications, present medical condition, family history of medical condition. The findings also reveal that in pre test, majority of the subjects in Experimental Group (60%) and Control Group (66.7%) had inadequate practice. Least found risk factor was nutritional deficiency. In the post test, majority of the subjects in Experimental Group (86.7%) had adequate practice while as in Control Group, majority (60%) of the subjects had inadequate practice. Thus there was no improvement in the post test practice scores of Control group. The mean post test practice score of Experimental group is 82.22% which was much higher than the mean post test practice score of Control group that was only 48.15%. The Chi-square value showed that in Experimental group, there was no significant association between the pre-test practice score and demographic variables However, there was significant association between the pre-test practice score with the Obstetric variable (Gestational age). In the Control group, it was found that there was significant association between the pre-test practice score and demographic variable i.e., Age. Also there was no significant association between the pre-test practice score of Control group with the Obstetric variable. Conclusion: The current study questions were answered where inadequate practice towards identification of alarming signs leading to obstetrical emergencies were reported among pregnant women. According to the actual practices taken by pregnant women to overcome their alarming signs during current pregnancy, taking adequate rest and self-care practices was the most commonly reported actual practice. Recommendations: The study recommended developing antenatal classes programs for all pregnant women about alarming signs and about the actual time to seek emergency medical care. In addition, increase the mass media to disseminate correct and relevant information about alarming signs of pregnancy to pregnant women, families and communities.

The primary goal of the proposed system is to mitigate the impact of medical waste contamination by employing advanced deep learning techniques. Through waste management practices such as recycling and landfilling, the deconstruction of medical waste is addressed. The system's architecture utilizes the RESNET framework for feature extraction, facilitating the intelligent categorization of garbage into digestible and indigestible categories through convolutional neural networks (CNN). Transfer learning enhances the model's ability to detect specific waste categories. Performance analysis, conducted with the KNN algorithm, ensures the effectiveness of the waste classification. The system's real-time data tracking capabilities enable continuous monitoring and adaptation to evolving waste management needs. By leveraging these technologies, the proposed system not only streamlines waste sorting processes but also contributes to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious approach to medical waste management. Ongoing refinement of the model can address emerging challenges and further enhance its efficiency in handling diverse medical waste scenarios

Artificial intelligence has revolutionized the overall conventional auditing, thereby automating manual tasks. This paper evaluates how AI is being used in auditing with a focus on the role it plays in the automation of tasks, analysis of data, and risk management. Key trends involve the AI implication in the audit methodologies, analytics for fresh fraud detection, and continuous monitoring. Despite its pros, issues like skill shortages and data security concerns continue to be important. This research underpins the stable position of auditors and organizations towards AI implementation in auditing which calls for education, innovation, and ethical considerations. The togetherness of auditors, organizations, and other stakeholders is essential for utilizing AI in an audit. AI is a key to revolutionary auditing and such effects of the advancement in auditing methodologies go far beyond what is traditional.
