 Abstract

Intake structures are used for collecting water from the sources like river, lake, and reservoir and transfer it further to the water treatment plant. The paper highlights the work administered on construction of Jackwell with Overhead Pump House. The main reason for that is rising in demand for water and poor distribution of water. The Paper includes the provision of Design of a water treatment scheme for the area in order to supply the treated water to the houses. Jackwell and Pump House has been analyzed by using STAAD PRO vi8 software under seismic condition.

 Abstract

The maintenance of marine equipment/system follows a tight laid down regime of Condition Based Predictive Maintenance (CBPM) maintenance schedule wherein the marine equipment/system are subjected to maintenance based on running hours/condition of the machinery. The Authors et al. suggest that implementation of Machine learning algorithm coupled with the existing CBPM practices can lead to enhanced operational hours of the equipment/system, major cost savings and better predictability of the upcoming failure on any marine machinery. Exhaustive practical study cum analysis has been undertaken by the Authors et.al to design a Marine Machine Learning (MML) algorithm which is as mentioned in this paper.

 Abstract

The concept of M?y? i.e. illusion is a fundamental concept in Hindu philosophy, notable in the Advaita (Nondualist school of Ved?nta. M?y? forms one of the pillars of the Ved?nta Philosophy, generally is interpreted as to mean illusion. It has multiple meanings in Indian Philosophies depending on the context. M?y? originally denoted the magic power with which a God can make human beings believe in worldly existence to be an illusion. M?y? is the manifestation of the world. The description is enormous in Vedanta philosophy. But a small attempt is done here to analyse the concept in a nutshell.

 Abstract

In many organizations, reward decisions depend on subjective performance evaluations. However, evaluating an employee's performance is often difficult. In this paper, we develop a model in which the employee is uncertain about his own performance and about the manager's ability to assess him. The manager gives an employee a performance appraisal with a view of affecting the employee's self perception, and the employee's perception of the manager's ability to assess performance. We examine how performance appraisals affect the employee's future performance. The predictions of our model are consistent with various empirical findings. These comprise (i) the observation that managers tend to give positive appraisals, (ii) the finding that on average positive appraisals motivate more than negative appraisals, and (iii) the observation that the effects of appraisals depend on the employee's perception of the manager's ability to assess performance accurately.

 Abstract

J K Rowling creates the extraordinary Wizarding world as a reflection of the ordinary world we (muggles) inhabit. Though she populates it with witches and wizards with astonishing talents, they prove to be humans like ourselves. Hence, the famed portal quest fantasy is chosen for this paper, because the portal (the Harry Potter universe/ portal, popularly called the Potterverse) gives an apt platform as it hosts young students treading towards maturity. The Harry Potter Series is immensely famous; and since the stories are made into films there is a definite trickling down into the popular culture. But this work focuses on the text alone to study the promising aspects which are of interest with regard to gender and the social markers that allow exploring this scope. Gender is a complicated and multi-faceted spectrum, though the text tends to be limited with the binary division, these limitations are taken into consideration to explore the non-hegemonic views. Though gender roles are not abiding in the series, there are instances of them occurring, especially with the weaker characters like Merope Gaunt, Moaning Myrtle, etc. Hermione, Ginny and Luna break many stereotypes and head forward in the careers of their choice.

 Abstract

Secure Network has now grown to be a need of any organization. The safety threats are increasing day with the aid of day and making high pace wired/wireless community and web services, insecure and unreliable. Now a - days protection measures works extra importantly closer to pleasant the cutting edge needs of todays developing industries. The need is also brought about in to the areas like defense, where impenetrable and authenticated get right of entry to of assets are the key issues associated to data security. In this paper Author has described the vital measures and parameters involving large industry/organizational requirements for establishing a impervious network. Wi-Fi networks are very common in imparting wireless community get right of entry to to different assets and connecting a variety of units wirelessly. There are want of unique requirements to take care of Wi-Fi threats and network hacking attempts. This paper explores vital security measures related to distinctive community scenarios, so that a absolutely secured network surroundings may want to be installed in an organization. Author also has discussed a case learn about to illustrate the minimal set of measures required for establishing community security in any company.

 Abstract

The dimension of the databases used in todays firms has been developing at exponential rates day via day. Simultaneously, the want to technique and analyze the large volumes of statistics for business selection making has additionally increased. In several business and scientific applications, there is a need to system terabytes of data in efficient manner on each day bases. This has contributed to the huge records trouble confronted with the aid of the industry due to the lack of ability of traditional database structures and software tools to manage or method the large records units within tolerable time limits. Processing of statistics can include more than a few operations depending on utilization like culling, tagging, highlighting, indexing, searching, faceting, and so forth operations. It is not possible for single or few machines to shop or process this large amount of statistics in a restricted time period. This paper reports the investigational effort on big data problem and its best solution using Hadoop cluster, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) intended for storage and using parallel processing to process big data sets by Map Reduce programming framework. We have completed prototype implementation of Hadoop cluster, HDFS storage and Map decrease framework for giving out large data sets by allowing for prototype of big data application situations. The results attained from various experiments designate favorable results of beyond approach to tackle big data problem.

 Abstract

This paper provides a systematic implementation of the techniques of artificial intelligence for agricultural crop management. Agriculture faces many challenges, such as disease and infestation of pests, unsuitable soil treatment, inadequate drainage and irrigation and many more. Such result in severe crop failure along with environmental hazards caused by excessive chemical use. Several researches were carried out to deal with these issues. With its robust learning capabilities, the fields of artificial intelligence have become a crucial technique for solving various agricultural related problems. Systems are being developed to assist the agricultural experts around the world in finding better solutions. The sector faces numerous challenges to optimize its production, including inadequate soil care, disease and infestation of pests, big data requirements, low output and knowledge gap between farmers and technology. In agriculture the main concept of AI is its versatility, high performance, precision and cost. This paper presents a review of the soil management, crop management, weed management and disease management applications.

 Abstract

Cloud computing is a technology, which provides low cost, scalable computation potential and services to corporations on demand for expansion. Although, cloud computing is facilitating the Information technology industry, the lookup and improvement in this area is yet to be satisfactory. Cloud computing assets provided provider on an as-needed basis, and delivered by using IP-based connectivity, supplying fairly scalable, reliable on-demand offerings with agile administration capabilities. There are a lot of development in the cloud computing, protection of the information in the cloud has end up the one of most important aspects in the cloud computing. Cloud computing is nothing however the sharing of the sources in an open surroundings which leads to the safety problems. This paper intention is to furnish exceptional models of cloud computing and records covering strategies for supplying security.
