The paper discusses how foreign direct investment has affected the Indian retail industry. The inflow of foreign direct investment has boosted growth in the retail industry and increased the gross domestic product of India. Government policy and other determinants have been discussed to study and analyse the impact. Investment opportunities exist in the rising Indian retail market. Up until 2006, there had been a cap on the amount of foreign direct investment coming in. Nonetheless, there has been a since 2006 a favourable shift in government policy allowing foreign corporations to make ownership investments in India. The essay clarifies the expansion of several Indian retail industries, the tax incentives and factors that influence foreign direct investment inflow. It addresses potential dangers and challenges to Indian retail by enabling the foreign corporation of companies (small, medium, and large), an investment destination is India.

A nation's education system plays crucial role in shaping future citizens. Hence, quality education need to be imparted which greatly relies on teachers. These teachers need a kind of conducive work environment in which they foster potential at optimum level. According to Trehan Ruchi (2008), "QWL includes aspects of work-related life such as wages and hours, work environment, benefits and services, career prospects and human relations, which is possibly relevant to worker satisfaction and motivation". Hence, the organization, particularly schools need to provide quality of work life to the teachers to ensure to deliver quality education. Hence, quality work life environment has to be provided to all the teachers irrespective of any demographic profile. It is crucial to examine demographic factors like age, gender, and the nature of the job to determine whether they have an impact on the quality of work life, which in turn affects school productivity. Hence, this paper attempts to explore whether certain selected demographic variables such as age, gender and nature of job influence Quality of Work Life of teachers. Hence, primary data were collected from 1554 teachers working in 146 schools consisting of Government and Private schools of Dimapur District, Nagaland. The considered hypothesis was tested with the help of one-way ANOVA. It was observed that there is difference in the quality of work of the Teachers of Secondary Schools of Dimapur District, Nagaland in respect of age and nature of job while the quality of work life is not influenced by gender. Thus, certain demographic variables do influence the quality of work life of teachers.

Since many years ago, small masterbatch industries have been expanding and adding to GDP. Growth was estimated to be worth roughly USD 10.3 billion in 2021 and will rise at a rate of more than 5.5% between 2022 and 2028. In India, 9.5 kilogrammes of wasted plastic are produced per person each year, compared to almost 30 kg in America. Plastic use is still rising, and more masterbatch products are being consumed in more colours. More than 300 plastic manufacturing facilities may be found in the state of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, with plastic being used in every third industry. Masterbatches have several uses besides plastic, including blow film and lamination, PP raffia/yarn, textiles, PP nonwoven fabric, blow moulding, injection moulding, and thermoforming.

The aim of the current study was to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of the Eugenia Caryophyllus oil and Trigonella foenum-graceum L. The aqueous flower bud extracts of Eugenia Caryophyllus and aqueous seed extract of Trigonella foenum-graceum prepared and tested qualitatively, by screening of phytoconstituents that present in the extracts and to quantitatively by checking antimicrobial activity using well diffusion agar plate method. Agar cup plate test was used to determine the sensitivity of the tested samples while the well microdilution was used to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration. The drug extract were extracted using solvent extraction by soxhlet apparatus, different concentration of these extract were prepared ranging from 0.1-1.0 ml and antimicrobial activity is performed on Staphylococcus aureus (gram positive) bacteria, using nutrient agar as broth. It was found that the above drug combination Eugenia Caryophyllus & Trigonella foenum-graceum on the respective gram positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus was showing optimum antimicrobial activity. The minimum inhibitory concentration of combination of both drugs was found to be 8.0 mm for the concentration of 0.9 ml and 1.0 ml for both drugs Clove oil & Fenugreek seed Extract. Chewing gum preparation shows antimicrobial activity in the range of 4.8mm to 5.5mm. The overall results of this study indicate that the chewing gum prepared from both the drug extracts have optimum antimicrobial and potential for treating Halitosis.
