Myristica fragrans Houtt. commonly known as Nutmeg (Family: Myristicaceae) is a widely used food spice and flavouring agent. The nutmeg tree is important for two spices derived from the fruit: nutmeg and mace. Food items get contaminated very easily by microorganisms. Myristica fragrans Houtt is known to exhibit some antibacterial properties. The present study aims to evaluate the anti-bacterial activity of extracts of Myristica fragrans Houtt on common food contaminating bacteria like Bacillus cereus and Staphylococcus aureus. Cold extracts of Nutmeg were prepared by using 70%Ethanol and 70% Chloroform as solvents on rotary shaker for five days. All the extracts were then evaporated on flash evaporator and residue thus obtained was reconstituted in DMSO (Dimethyl sulfoxide). The extracts thus obtained were considered to be 100% extract for both ethanol residue and chloroform residue. These extracts were converted into three dilutions namely 1%, 10% and 100% using DMSO as vehicle. The above mentioned dilutions were utilized to assess antimicrobial activity by agar well diffusion method. It was observed that 10% Chloroform and 10% Ethanol extract inhibited growth of Bacillus cereus and Staphylococcus aureus. Comparison of the inhibition pattern for chloroform and ethanol extracts exhibited greater zone of inhibition as the concentration increased from 1% to 100%. However, 10%Chloroform extract was found to be more effective against Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus than 10%Ethanol extract. The MIC studies revealed that ethanolic extract was more potent in inhibition of Bacillus cereus and Staphylococcus aureus.

Multi-storied building has been incorporated with waffle and flat slab individually in our research on ETABS for structural analysis to explore one such unmatched contrivance substitute could be used in the structures constructed in near future. Flat slabs are routinely being constructed only using the column, omitting the construction of beams, therefore affecting different aspects like the effectiveness, floor to floor height ratio, construction cost and freedom to the engineer whereas Waffle slabs are generally adopted in those structures having a smaller number of columns, wider span of floors, requires more stability, are light weight. We here in this research are analyzing the feasibility of G+3 building with a single column, alternatively applying the flat and waffle slab in place of the conventional one at a time to check the difference in the characteristics of a building like bending moment, end moments, deflection, shear force, etc. The interpretative study between both the slabs along with the G+3 single column building with varying floor span, slab span, slab thickness, column thickness, adding dome like structure on bottom has been carried out under the influence of loading via a software specially used for the analysis of the multi-storied building named as ETABS.

The history of origin and growth of political parties in India can be traced from the days of freedom movement of India. The Indian National Congress and Muslim league both are important political parties. It was a sad inevitable fact and truth that partitions happened due to the split in the Indian National Congress and difference between the Hindu and Muslim. Muslim communities feel that they are neglected and poorly represented in comparison to majority. Hence it was the same feeling and ideology that led to the formation of Muslim league with the support of British government. The British had always been accepting, fanning and supporting such Muslim demands that divide the Indian people. However, the support of the British government to the political Islamists in their non secular intention as well as contemptuous attitude towards majority rule helped the league to become the sole representative body of Indian Muslims. Jinnah who played an important role during that period. Jinnah and Muslim league led the struggle for the partition of British India in to separate Hindu and Muslim states, and after the partition of Pakistan in 1947 the league became Pakistans dominant political party. It had a mass-based pressure group in British India, and hence it gradually declined in popularity and cohesion.

Nowadays, Breast Cancer is considered to be a major threat to women which is leading to an increase in death rates of women causing a major concern in the society regarding it. This disease may be a major threat but today medical-science is capable enough to cure such threats without causing any harm to women if detected at early stages. Detecting the cancer and differentiating between the diagnosis that affirms whether the patient has breast cancer or not is considered to be the major challenge. For accurate diagnosis of breast cancer many research paper throws light on Machine Learning Algorithms like Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). The following paper talks about the diagnosis of breast cancer using Support Vector Machine (SVM) with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) which are supervised machine learning techniques for breast cancer detection. The proposed model is tested on Wisconsin breast cancer diagnosis data set which is selected from UCI machine learning repository. The data was pre processed which was followed by feature extraction of the data set using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), the performance of the model was diagnosed using six different machine learning algorithms namely Naive Bayes, Support Vector Machine, Classification and Regression Trees, Logistic Regression, Linear discriminant Analysis and k-nearest neighbours. The technique proposed in the paper achieved an accuracy of 99.30% by Support Vector Machine with Principal Component Analysis.

Our problem statement is about waste management in India. In our country, we keep our houses by dumping the waste into public spaces. To overcome this problem of waste dumping in public spaces we have built an incinerator, which is powered by solar energy. We proposed an innovative incinerator, which has a scrubbing module attached to it. The advantage of our proposed model is that it burns out all the waste and the by-product is clean air and ashes. This can further help in ensuring clean public space, clean water bodies and polluted ground water. The system we have developed can be customized based on requirement.

A zinc oxide coated-chitosan tripolyphosphate (CTPP) polyelectrolyte membrane which can serve as bioactive-selective properties to improve adsorbent or the antifouling performance in membrane surface. In synthesis of CTPP membrane, the concentration of tripolyphosphate (TPP) may varied , (0.5%, 1.0% & 1.5%) at pH 5.0, where the chitosan to zinc oxide nanoparticle ratio is 8:1, 4:1 and 2:1 , with specific wider pore radius of CTPP-ZnO membrane. The membrane performance test have applied by using of methylene blue solution with a 4ppm concentration is passed or diffused through the membrane under pressure controlled by valve in 10 bar. The addition of zinc oxide reported that the interaction of methylene blue and ZnO nanoparticles mainly consider as the ionic bonding between the positively charged of ZnO and negatively charged of methylene blue (-SO3-), which led to affect in hydrophilicity of polyelectrolyte membrane with high performance as reverse transport in osmosis during performance test.

Chronic illness can have a severe impact on the wellbeing of individuals. It could be quite stressful to make adjustments in day to day life to manage the chronic illness and cope with reduced quality of life. There is a two way relationship between chronic illness and stress. The purpose of this study was to compare the perceived stress and life satisfaction among adults who have chronic illness with those who do not have. A brief questionnaire on perceived stress, life change units stress scale and life satisfaction scale were administered on a group of 140 individuals (70 adults with chronic illness and 70 adults without any chronic illness). The sample was taken from various parts of Goa. t test was used to measure the significance of difference between the two groups. Results showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups with regard to perceived stress level, life change units and life satisfaction.

The simplest definition of the term blended learning is the use of traditional classroom teaching methods together with the use of online learning for the same students studying the same content in the same course. It is a thoughtful fusion of face-to-face and online learning experiences (Garrison & Vaughan, 2008). There are also blended programmes, in which students study some courses in face-to-face classrooms and other courses are delivered fully online. In other words, blended learning is a term applied to the practice of providing instruction and learning experiences through some combination of both face-to-face and technology-mediated learning. During the technology-mediated components of these learning experiences, students are not required to be physically together in one place but may be connected digitally through online communities. Classroom instruction time may be replaced or augmented by online learning experiences, and online learning can include varying degrees of interaction or just time alone in independent study and learning activities. However, in a quality blended learning experience, the content and activities of both in-person and online learning are integrated with one another and work toward the same learning outcomes with the same content. The various learning experiences are synthesised, complement each other, and are planned or orchestrated to run in parallel. Blended learning is sometimes called hybrid or mixed-mode learning. These systems of instructional design use many types of teaching and learning experiences and vary in design and implementation across teachers, programmes and schools. The potential variations of mixed-mode learning are virtually endless.
