 Abstract

Abstract: The primary aim of the study was to examine the motor fitness as well as physiological characteristics of professional hockey players classified by their playing position. A total of Sixty (N=60) male hockey players who volunteered for the present study had participated in the 8th Senior National Hockey Championship 2018, Imphal with age 22.5 4.5 years were categorized as goalkeepers, fullbacks, halfback and forwards. The following motor and physiological variables were measured in all groups: speed, abdominal muscular strength, agility, vital capacity, resting heart rate and VO2 max through the administration of 50 meter dash, bent knee sit-up, illinois agility test, Spirometer digital heart monitor and queen college step test to assess motor and physiological variables among different positional field Hockey Players. The one way ANOVA was used in 0.05 levels of significance. For analysis of data, SPSS (version 23) software was used. The results revealed significant difference were found in Speed (F= 11.97, P=.000), Agility (F= 6.50, P=.001), Vital Capacity (F= 17.80, P=.000) and VO2 max (F= 6.41, P=.001) of motor and physiological variables among different positional field hockey Player whereas insignificant difference in Abdominal Muscular Strength and Resting Heart Rate among hockey players.

 Abstract

Internet of things is used in generation of solar power to improve the function, monitoring, performance and maintenance of solar power plant. The method for the solution to monitor the dust present on the solar panels to observe the maximum power.Always the output power of the solar panel is depend on the radiation observed by the solar cell.It monitors the panel loads by using the IoT technologies the data which are received from the panels and appliance are send to the cloud through the internet for the future use.It is also helps the remote users to monitor the solar power plant. The user can get the information about current and previous average parameter like voltage, temperature, current and sunlight using graphical user interface. This will facilitate fault detection and preventive maintenance of solar power plant.

 Abstract

Heat transfer fluids carry heat from heat collectors to the heat storage tanks in heating (and cooling) systems. The fluids most commonly used are water, propylene glycol, ethylene glycol and air. Less common fluids are synthetic hydrocarbons, paraffin hydrocarbons, aromatic refined mineral oils, refrigerants, and silicones. While selecting a heat transfer fluid, we consider the following criteria the coefficient of expansion, viscosity, thermal capacity; freezing point, boiling point, and flash point are considered. For example, in a cold climate, solar systems require fluids with low freezing points. Fluids exposed to high temperatures, as in a desert climate, should have a high boiling point. Viscosity and thermal capacity determine the amount of pumping energy required. A fluid with low viscosity and high specific heat is easier to pump, because it is less resistant to flow and transfers more heat. Other properties that help determine the effectiveness of a fluid is its corrosiveness and stability. In the present work an attempt was made to arrive at the best combination which would give the best heat transfer rate and how the porosity effected the heat transfer rate in the system.

 Abstract

In this paper, a literature review is given of the methods and techniques that are used to analyze black spots and black zones. Although, no universally accepted definition of a black spot or black zone is given, these locations will in general be described as high risk accident locations. In this context, several statistical models are described in literature to model the accident frequency and accident severity. This study gives an overview of these models. Additionally, several alternative methods that are used to identify and rank black spots are described. Furthermore, some techniques that are used to profile these accident locations and the use of before- and after studies to estimate the effect of treatment on these sites are discussed in this text. Finally, an overview of the methods and techniques that are used in India, Belgium, Denmark and Australia, etc, to analyze black spots is presented.

 Abstract

Agriculture is very important in the overall economic development of a nation and in which irrigation plays an important role in agriculture development. Here, It is proposed a methodology for multiple valve control in smart farming by using PLC and smart irrigation system through Global System for Mobile (GSM). This proposed system will focus on automatic turn on and turn off of multiple solenoid valve and switch on and off of motor that plays major role in farming activities. Based on the environmental condition, In both day and noon, the valve can be controlled by smart phone through message to GSM module connected with PLC. This modeling and control techniques of a smart irrigation and smart farming are demonstrated here.
