 Abstract

As literature reflects society, dalit or tribal literature is, no doubt, the document of dalit or tribal society and its people. Generally, it is known to all that dalit or tribal people, belonging to the lowest strata of caste system in our society, are 'untouchables' in traditional 'Varna' system. Being subaltern section of society, they have been exploited economically, discriminated socially and marginalized culturally by upper caste people throughout the ages. They have been forced to be deprived of education. So, they are mostly illiterate and they can easily be fooled by hypocrites. On the other hand, belief in superstition comes out of ignorance and illiteracy which co-exist in society. This paper attempts to study systematically the superstitious practices and beliefs of these rural and tribal people with reference to Anil Gharai's Reincarnation of Parashuram, a story which explores how a tribal family suffers from superstitious beliefs and practices, seeks remedy of its ailing child with the help of a gunin, and shows how an aged mother is labeled a 'witch' and killed by her son as in the myth of Parashuram. This paper also discusses how a rural tribal family as well as society has been ruined only because of superstitions and acts of ignorance.

 Abstract

English language has become an important part of school education in India and all over the world. Hence, it is essential to teach English at different levels of an academic system. This research study aims to find out the awareness levels of the English teacher, to examine the methods, techniques, approaches and teaching materials being used by the teachers, to study the problems faced by students and English subject teachers in teaching learning process and lastly, to examine the strength and weakness of teaching English at secondary schools in Tripura. This study employed survey type of research method and with 130 samples as participants. The data were collected by using self-developed questionnaire for English subject teachers, focus group discussion on students, classroom observation schedule and interview schedule on English subject teachers. The study revealed that majority of English teachers were having awareness of English teaching for facilitating self and peer assessment, group activities, low level of students' interest, over dependent on teachers; irregular of students' participation in the class, and language barrier related challenges faced by English teachers. Majority of the schools had lack of Computer lab, school library, school magazine, ICT facilities etc. The challenges of teaching and learning of English Language teachers can overcome by providing in-service training to English teachers along with the provision of minimum facilities in the schools.

 Abstract

According to the well-known saying "Health is Wealth," wellness is a person's most valuable asset, and it is not worth living without it. It appears to imply that even if a person has a lot of money or other advantages in life, his existence will be pointless if his health is in danger. Those who live in metropolitan regions regularly have sleep problems in today's world. This is due to their hectic lifestyle, which makes it difficult for them to handle everything. According to studies, jogging improves your sleep and mental health more than taking medication or attending an expensive retreat. Several research have shown this. To sleep better, one needs to do healthy activities. It is also widely acknowledged that regular exercise increases productivity.

 Abstract

The environment is becoming a problem that is far more important on a global scale from an economic, social, and political perspective. In recent years, concern for the natural world has emerged as one of the most crucial components of societal responsibility. Because of the alarming rate at which environmental externalities caused by corporations have increased, it is absolutely necessary to put effective environmental protection measures into place. As a direct consequence of this, a significant number of associations and organizations acknowledged the gravity of the circumstance and started working to advance and protect this cause. Environmental consciousness and the obligation to account for it are rapidly growing as issues of concern in the modern world. As a consequence of rising concerns about environmental responsibility and the development of a more sustainable industrial economy, a cutting-edge and completely brand-new subfield of accounting known as environmental accounting has emerged as a response to these challenges. By elucidating the environmental effects that are the result of the procurement and processing of materials, as well as the manufacturing, sales, distribution, usage, maintenance, and disposal of products, environmental accounting will be able to more accurately determine the costs that are actually incurred. It can provide assistance to companies and organizations in the development of innovative solutions to modify resource use, eliminate resource limitations, fulfill regulatory standards, and prevent environmental problems. Accounting for the environment's long-term viability is the focus of green accounting, also known as environmental accounting, a subfield of accounting that is still in its infancy but experiencing rapid growth as a subject of study. The discipline of environmental accounting is just starting to take off in India right now. Even though Indian businesses abide by the laws and rules that pertain to the preservation of the environment, no clear-cut policies have yet been established at the national, state, or even corporate levels to guarantee the degree of compliance with environmental standards. This is the case despite the fact that Indian businesses comply with the laws and rules that pertain to the preservation of the environment. The purpose of this research is to provide a comprehensive overview of environmental accounting and reporting in India. [Citation needed] In addition to this, the report intends to present potential solutions to a number of environmental accounting practices that are lacking in India. The main environmental criteria that Indian corporations reported as a part of their environmental reporting procedure are also a primary focus of the study.

 Abstract

This paper establishes the long run association between gross domestic product (GDP) and gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) with carbon emission (CE) in BRICS-4 countries and USA. To empirically estimate the long run cointegration and to check the validity of EKC hypothesis, the novel second-generation panel data analysis is done by taking the annual data from 1991-2020. All the variables are cross-sectionally dependent, differenced stationary, and cointegrated over the long run, according to empirical estimations of CD-LM test, CADF & CIPS tests, and Westerlund (2007), respectively. Moreover, the coefficients estimated by employing the novel DCCE approach validates the presence of the EKC hypothesis in the BRICS-4 countries and the USA. Finally, based on the empirical findings, this paper posited some valuable policy recommendations for the BRICS-4 countries and USA.

Global poverty is defined as the number of people worldwide who live on less than dollar2.15 a day . A person surviving on less than dollar 2.15 a day lives in extreme poverty , as defined by the world bank .Unemployment occurs when someone is willing and able to work but doesn't have a paid job . At present times , in our world , the people being in unequal and imperfect rivalry are deviated from the right path . To get relief from the trouble , the equal distribution of resources and the awareness of maximum people as well as the same awareness on the part of our every government of our world are vitally necessary to do the needful action taken upto rise from global problems - poverty and unemployment . Under the developed countries , the USA , France , Japan , and Australia etc . the number of the poor and the unemployed is increasing day by day .India including our state I . e . West Bengal isn't outside the problem . In all areas of government and non - government sectors the output of surplus employment and shortage employment is carried forward ,as the folk is trained for needed courses whereas some or a large number forsake the unnecessary courses . In one side , because of increasing population the food crisis and money crisis take place all over the whole world as well as the number of unemployment and incapable workers is rapidly increasing .

 Abstract

The exclusion of women's life narratives from the study of mainstream autobiographical writing had been questioned by several feminist critics. Through such questions they started to build a canon of women's autobiography and restructure the women's spaces. This paper throws light on some such efforts that map the transition from the pioneering attempts of the nineteenth century Indian women's narratives to the twentieth century narratives that are self-assertive in nature. The paper presents a comparative study of the nineteenth century life-narrative by Ramabai Ranade with the autobiographies of Kamala Das and Indira Lankesh. Ramabai's Ranade: His Wife's Reminiscences (1963) was originally written in Marathi and later translated to English. Kamala Das's My Story (1976) brought a radical shift in women's autobiographical narratives in India. Indira Lankesh's Hulimavu mattu Nanu (2013) - an autobiography in Kannada - is a story of a house wife who turns out to be the most independent, successful entrepreneur. The study confirms the evolution of narrative strategies over the years which evidently supports the fact that the women have transformed their lives and created their own spaces by breaking the stereotypical narrative patterns.
