 Abstract

REASON FOR DROPOUT OF ADOLESCENT SUBSTANCE USERS FROM URBAN PRIVATE COUNSELING CENTERS IN KERALA Nimisha Jihad, Research Scholar, Nirwan Unuversity Jaipur- nimishaann37@gmail.com Prof (Dr) Tanu Tandon,Professor & Dean, Faculty of Education,Nirwan University, Jaipur Jihad Yasir, Dr Ambedkar Doctoral Fellow, Research Scholar, Vimala College, University of Calicut , jihadyasir@gmail.com Background: Substance abuse defined as use of any licit drugs , illicit drugs or psychoactive substance. Substance abuse is treat of overall health, will being and quality of life. It affect individual, family, society, community and nation. Substance abuse among adolescence are increasing and it is alarming. The consequences of substance abuse during adolescence period is a multi faced. It leads poor academic performance, unsafe sexual activities, rape, robbery, gang clash and. Suicidality. Adolescent Substance users treatment dropout is a common barrier all over the world. Objectives: the aim of the study was find out the possible reason for drop out of adolescence substance users from private counselling centres. The objective of the study was to find out the social demographic profile of adolescence substance users dropout from private counselling centres and find out the major reason for drop out from the private counselling centres. Methodology: this research design was descriptive Research design and quantitative analysis was implemented. The sampling method is series purposive sampling method the data collected from different private counselling centres in in Calicut. SPSS used for data analysis. Result: The total population of this study was (N=60). The age of the participants varied from 12 to 19. The mean age was Mean=15.48, SD=1.69 In the total 60 population, 57 are male and 3 are female. Peer group, friends, family members and parenting style are the factors associated with substance abuse. Reason for dropout are stigma, not recovered, not interested in treatment and no hope in treatment. Conclusion: substance abuse among adolescents are shocking and then need proper treatment services and but dropout from the treatment is a common barrier. Stigma is the one of the main to reduce or recover from substance abuse, the family teaches society should support them. Key Words: adolescents, substance abuse, treatment dropout.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the severe long-term health issues. It is called "Madhumeha" in ancient India. Diabetes is a common disorder involved in a range of metabolic disorders which cause spikes in blood sugar levels. Ayurvedic medicines are largely used for the treatment of many diseases. Paneer Dodi (Withania coagulans Dunal) is a tiny bush native to South Asia that belongs to the Solanaceae family. Sedative, emetic, alterative, and diuretic properties have been described for the plant's fruits. They're also good for liver issues, asthma, and biliousness.

 Abstract

This is a cross sectional study is done with total 133 samples, who is within 15-18 years girl child and is studying in between class 9-12, in a rural area of Contai, Purba Medinipur district, West Bengal. The samples were undertaken from November 2021 to January 2022. Here we use variables like Height, Weight, BMI, Waist- Hip- Ratio, Average calorie intake, MUAC. The study result is showing that 11.2% students are suffering from underweight and having <18.5% BMI, but 66.1% students have normal BMI and 18% students are overweight and 4.5% students are obese. They are consuming more carbohydrate than RDA and less protein. They are taking iron tablet supplying by Govt. Health Stuff, but not consume any Zn or Ca or any other food supplement.

 Abstract

Human resources development is an important component for the success of any organization. Human resource management plays a crucial role in the implementation of strategic management in cooperatives. It has, however, not been accorded the importance it deserves in the cooperative institutions. The existing organizational design of most of the cooperatives does not conform to the basic principles of human resources management of a sound institution. The cooperatives are generally headed by a committee of elected members, who are not necessarily professionals. The cooperatives will have to evolve sound personnel policies encompassing proper manpower planning and assessment. It is necessary to evolve scientific staffing norms.Conscious and well specified HRD principles in crucial areas like recruitment, placement, training, career progression, managerial grooming, etc., are lacking in most of the cooperatives. There was no evidence of an objective system involving professional guidance for recruitment in cooperatives in several states. Therefore, it is necessary to study on human resource development in cooperative. This paper attempts to analyze the human resource development in cooperatives. A diagnostic research design (theoretical analysis) is followed in the present study. According to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) 2007, Change Management Survey Report, "the top two obstacles encountered during the major organizational changes are communication breakdown and employee's resistance." India moves towards progressively 'Knowledge Economy'. Skills and knowledge are the important driving forces of economic and social development of any Country. The Eleventh Five Year Plan focused on advancement of skills and these skills have to be relevant to the emerging inclusive economic growth of rural India. A cooperative organization is an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically controlled enterprise. Since its inception of the movement, there is need for creating awareness and acceptance of human resource development to achieve the organizational goals and objectives. The cooperatives are considered to be one of the strong instruments to involve the available human resources as well as explore the potentials for employment generation. HRD activities in cooperatives will need to be much more systematically organized with a long range perspective.A highly competent motivated team of employees and office bearers and enlightened and empowered members should be the mission of the HRD policies in cooperatives.
