Anxiety, depression and stress in pregnancy are risk factors for adverse outcomes for mothers and fetus. Anxiety in pregnancy is associated with shorter gestation and has adverse implications for fetal neurodevelopment and child outcomes. Anxiety about pregnancy is especially potent. Chronic strain, exposure to racism and depressive symptoms in mothers during pregnancy are associated with low birth weight babies with consequences for infant development.

This abstract gives an account of the essence and teachings of the provided material. It starts with looking at how ecological changes have occurred over time with a sense of urgency to tackle 21st century climate change. Amitav Ghosh's "The Great Derangement" is used as a centre point to criticize society's denial and inaction towards climate change and where we should be heading. Ghosh uses his analysis to explore the cultural and psychological barriers that hinder efforts to address climate change, focusing on fiction's lack in this regard. Further, the abstract covers issues concerning climate change including environmental disruptions, social and economic inequalities driven by anthropogenic factors like greenhouse gas emissions. The concept of environmental resilience includes ecosystem and community capacity to endure and adapt to environmental changes. Through powerful descriptions of humans' relationship with nature in Sundarbans, "The Hungry Tide", one work by Ghosh highlights because environmental resilience matters most. These two books underline that human destinies are interlinked with planetary ecosystems hence calling for courage, empathy, imagination when it comes to climate change.

Floods are natural disasters that can have devastating impacts on communities, economies, and the environment. Climate change, urbanization, and deforestation are some of the factors that contribute to the increased frequency and severity of floods. Floods can have devastating impacts on communities, infrastructure, and the environment. They can cause property damage, displacement of people, loss of crops and livestock, and even loss of life. In addition, floods can also lead to erosion, soil and water pollution, and damage to natural habitats and ecosystems. The major objectives of the study were to find the most affected area due to flood, to analyse the main cause and worst effects of flood and to examine whether the government initiatives for the precautions and safety recovery are effective. The researcher has adopted empirical research for the survey as their research method. Convenient sampling method has been implied to collect the data. The sample size of the data collected is 205. The data was collected totally in Chennai and all the respondents were from all ages. Both primary and secondary data was collected for this research paper. The primary tool used for this data is the data collected through the online questionnaire from people of all ages. The secondary data was collected through online articles and journals from various websites. Chi-Square test and Bar Charts by using SPSS software is being utilized as a tool for analysing the data. This research found that people think that houses and apartments are the most affected by floods through heavy rain. The researcher came to know that infrastructure damage, crop destruction and devastation are the main and worse effects of flood. The society wants the government to involve more in the relief process of floods and amend laws on it. Overall, addressing the complex and evolving challenges posed by floods requires a comprehensive and adaptive approach that considers the unique conditions and needs of different regions and communities. By working together, governments, communities, and other stakeholders can reduce the risk and impacts of floods and create more resilient and sustainable communities.

INTRODUCTION : Cardiovascular diseases and otolaryngeal (ENT) cancers pose significant challenges to global health, being leading causes of morbidity and mortality. Although environmental risk factors contribute to the increasing prevalence of these two conditions, their correlation has not been adequately explored. Common risk factors, such as smoking and male gender, play a crucial role in the development of ENT cancers including laryngeal cancer and cardiovascular diseases. OBJECTIF : Examine in detail the links between cardiovascular risk factors (age, sex, smoking, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia) and the characteristics of laryngeal cancers, emphasizing the importance of a systematic cardiac evaluation. METHOD : This study, involving 100 patients with laryngeal cancer, carried out in the otolaryngology and cardiology departments, aimed to evaluate the correlation between cardiovascular risk factors and laryngeal cancers. Demographic data, cardiovascular risk factors and LDLc levels were analyzed. Results indicated significant associations between chronic smoking, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and laryngeal cancers. The average LDLc level was determined. Ethical guidelines were followed, emphasizing the importance of cardiac evaluation in the management of patients with laryngeal cancer. This methodology ensures a comprehensive exploration of cardiovascular risk factors and their relevance to laryngeal cancers, highlighting the essential role of cardiac assessment in clinical care. RESULTS : The results included one hundred patients, with an average age of 64 years and a male predominance. Among these patients, 61%, 63%, 52%, and 54% were chronic smokers, hypertensive, diabetic, and had dyslipidemia, respectively. Metastatic cancers were relatively associated with LDLc levels, with respective p-values of 0.056. CONCLUSION : This study highlights the correlation between cardiovascular risk factors and laryngeal cancers, highlighting the need for cardiac evaluation in these patients. Integrated management of these risks could potentially improve clinical outcomes. Prospective studies and clinical trials are necessary to consolidate these results and refine treatment protocols. Meanwhile, integration of cardiac assessment into daily clinical practice is recommended for a more holistic approach to laryngeal cancer patients.

With the advent of ICT, or information and communication technology, culture and language have become increasingly important in defining research methodology in a world growing more interconnected by the day. This study explains how ICT both bridges and multiplies these affects by examining the intricate links between language, culture, and research methodologies. It explores the difficulties of carrying out research in various language and cultural contexts, looking at the chances, obstacles, and methods for resolving cultural and linguistic ambiguities in the digital age. Researchers can enhance the methodology's validity, dependability, and inclusivity by comprehending and utilizing the interactions among culture, language, and ICT.

The main need of this study was to investigate the status of science education in Bolangir Municipality in the year 2017. In this age of scientific and technological advancement everybody should have at least some basic knowledge of science for making effective and useful contribution to life. A citizen of modern world sees manifestations of science all around him. There is no sphere of man's life today which has not been influenced by science in one way or the other. This is because we are living in an age of "scientific culture." Science has shrunk the world and it has totally changed the human outlook. Modern science is no longer confined to the surface of this globe. A critical appraisal of Science Education Programme at the secondary level is highly essential because of its ever changing nature to evaluate the relevance of curriculum to assess the status of laboratory facilities and teaching methodology and overall performance of science teacher in secondary schools. The study explores different facets of problems related to science teaching in secondary schools of Bolangir Municipality.
