 Abstract

Malicious insider threat attacks signify one of the most destructive threats to networked systems of establishments and companies. There is a unique set of challenges that come with insider threat detection in term of hugely unbalanced data, limited ground truth, as well as behavior drifts and shifts. In this research, we study and evaluate an insider threat detection workflow using supervised learning algorithms. To this end, we study on multiple levels of granularity under realistic condition for identifying not only malicious behaviors but also malicious insider. We evaluate several supervised learning algorithm LR, MN, RF and XG using this workflow. Detailed analyses of widespread insider threat scenarios with different performance measures are presented to facilitate the realistic estimate of system performance. Evaluation results show that the machine learning based detection system can learn from limited ground truth and detect new malicious insider in unseen data with a high accuracy.

 Abstract

This research paper presents analysis of operating system (O.S) used in computers in higher education institutions (HEI). Regular updating and upgrading to higher version of system software is necessary to ensure the data security and helps to avoid security threats. For this research data is collected through online; data is collected for from 81 higher education institutions of Karnataka, India. In this analysis it is observed that most HEIs are not updating technology and training methods in their premises. We also found that most of the institutions where computer science course is not offered they do not aware of open source software and they think that windows is the only operating system available for desktop computers. By this research we found that only few higher education institutions which offer computer science and computer application courses are recently upgrading their systems to higher versions due to syllabus changes, but still upgrading to newer versions of operating system is not properly managed. From the collected data we could analyse that Windows is most commonly used operating system and Linux or Ubuntu is second most commonly used operating system and no other operating systems are used in any higher education institutions in Karnataka University affiliated colleges.

 Abstract

The main motive of our image classifier is to classify images of skin cancer, such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma and so on, using Machine Learning algorithms and Convolutional Neural Network models. This model can recognize images based on previously trained images and co- relate the image to the closest form of skin cancer. Classification is a process of categorizing a given set of data into classes, It can be performed on both structured or unstructured data. Image classification is a widely used method for categorizing things, and one area where it's particularly popular is in identifying different types of skin cancer. Skin cancer is a very serious form of cancer that is causing more deaths as people don't always know the symptoms or how to prevent it. The severity of the cancer depends on the type of skin cancer. This research project uses a dataset called HAM10000, which contains over 10,000 images. When creating a model to classify these images, using data augmentation helps the model learn more distinctive characteristics and features than not using data augmentation.

 Abstract

Invasive Cervical Cancer (ICC) is the fourth most common cancer and a leading cause of death among women globally. Cervical cancer remains to be one of the public health concerns in India. The increased awareness about the disease and diagnostic measures especially conventional cytology screening programme in many developed countries has effectively brought down the incidence rate of cervical cancer in many parts of the west. As per the WHO reports, effective primary (HPV vaccination) and secondary prevention approaches (screening for, and treating pre-cancerous lesions) are important for reducing the burden of cervical cancer among women. The recent statistics by National Family Health Survey (2019-2021) is alarming as only 1.9% of women aged 30-49 years have undergone basic cervical cancer screening. This paper looks at the risk factors, signs and symptoms, incidence rate, vaccinations, national policies and programmes and suggestive measures to reduce the occurrence of cervical cancer and related mortality.

 Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to analyse India's post-9/11 foreign policy towards Afghanistan. The 9/11 attacks heralded a new era in world politics, but the US-led military involvement that followed in Afghanistan gave India a much-needed chance to rebuild diplomatic relations with Kabul. Since then, India has maintained a cautious position towards Afghanistan by depending more on assistance-driven foreign policy measures than on military intervention in the country's destabilised environment. However, given that India had to close its embassy and consulates in Afghanistan in August 2021 when the Taliban reclaimed control of the nation, the issue still remains as to the extent to which India has been able to carve out a strategic space for itself in Afghanistan. Or, has India's strategy relied too heavily on soft power, preventing it from taking advantage of the opportunity presented by the fall of the Taliban government in late 2001?

 Abstract

Background: A clinical evaluation tool that is frequently used in clinical trials and daily practice to assess stroke-related neurological impairments is the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). English-written, 15-point evaluation form intended to measure neurological deficits in patients with recent strokes. Aim and Objectives: To determine the reliability and validity of the NIHSS with the Gujarati and Indian adaptation of item 9 and 10.Methodology: In this study, NIHSS items 9 and 10 were modified and culturally adapted were performed according to the guidelines. G-NIHSS was applied by seven independent investigators on 30 patients with stroke. Inter-observer agreement and intra-class correlation coefficients were calculated. The predictive validity of the G-NIHSS was calculated using functional outcome after three months in the form of Barthel Index (BI). Result: The G-NIHSS content validity index reached between 0.83 to 1.The G-NIHSS has a significantly negative correlation with both Glasgow Coma Scale (r = - 0.824, p< 0.001), and BI(r = -0.683, p < 0.008) is significant for p <0.01. And the Pearson's rho= 0.800, (p<0.001) was correlation with the BI at 90 days was significantly Positive. The ICC for the overall score on the G-NIHSS was 1 (95% CI, 1.0-1.0). The reliability of the G-NIHSS is significant. The Cronbach's ? coefficient of 0.96 for the G-NIHSS was considerate reliable. Conclusion: The G-NIHSS is reliable and valid Scale for the clinical assessment of neurological deficit in Gujarati acute stroke patients.

 Abstract

Participation of women in the political field and in various decision-making bodies is an important tool for empowerment. The participation of women at all levels of governance structures is the highest need of this hour for women's actual empowerment. Women's political empowerment, usually viewed as political involvement in government or elections which is essential to give women a voice in the policies that affect their lives. Political participation of women in India has been neglected even since independence. Political system and decision making process in seen clearly in the changes incorporated in the Panchayati Raj Institution. The 73rd Constitutional Amendment in 1992 gave them not less than one-third reservations in the PRIs at all the levels. This has been enhanced to 50 percent in some of the states in the recent years. Women's participation has been increasing rapidly but it is not satisfactory. Empowerment in any sphere plays an important role in molding the social, economic, and political life of people in all communities. As such, empowerment is a universal phenomenon. Unfortunately, women, who constitute about half of the total population, did not enjoy any political rights in the past in any society. In the Indian context, the political participation of women and ultimately their political empowerment have gained a lot of prominence.

 Abstract

The project proposes a solar-powered cell phone charging system that operates on a coin-based payment method. With the widespread use of mobile phones for personal and business communication, providing a public charging service has become a necessity. While some people argue that this may not be a profitable business since most individuals can charge their phones at home, office, or in their vehicles, it remains essential for individuals who forget their charger or are on the go. This is especially true for students, commuters, and people attending conferences. The charging system can be installed in various locations such as hotels, conference centers, leisure centers, shopping malls, internet cafes, colleges, airports, train terminals, etc., to cater to the needs of mobile phone users who require a quick recharge for a nominal fee of one rupee. The system is designed using a Raspberry Pi, which facilitates the countdown timings for a specified period while displaying the remaining time on an LCD screen. The system is equipped with a detector sensor and an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) that enables solar tracking. This solar tracking system helps to optimize the charging efficiency of the system by continuously adjusting the solar panel to face the direction of maximum sunlight. Additionally, a relay output is latched during the timing period, indicating that the charging process is in progress.

 Abstract

In all major surgeries, providing a painfree procedure and giving the patient a correct amount of anaesthetic are vital. Failure to provide the patient an accurate dose could result in negative side effects and surgical problems. The full dosage of anesthesia cannot be given to the patient in a single dose in cases of lengthy surgeries since it could result in fatal complications. Less anesthesia is given, which causes the patient to awaken during the procedure.Providing a precise amount of anesthetic at regular periods is difficult for the anesthesiologist. To get through these challenges a computer-controlled anesthesia device is created to provide a precise amount of anesthetic at regular intervals with steady speed. As a result, the objective of this project is to implement a labview-based automatic control system.

 Abstract

The Dalit Movement in Telangana has a long history, dating back to the pre-Independence era. Dalits, also known as Scheduled Castes, have been marginalized and discriminated against in various aspects of life, including education, employment, and social status. The movement seeks to address these inequalities and create a more just and equal society. The movement gained momentum in the 1980s with the formation of various Dalit organizations and political parties, including the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Republican Party of India (RPI). These organizations focused on raising awareness about Dalit issues, organizing protests, and advocating for policies that would benefit Dalits. One of the major achievements of the Dalit movement in Telangana is the implementation of reservations for Dalits in education and employment. This has helped to increase the representation of Dalits in various fields and improve their socio-economic status. However, the movement continues to face challenges, including opposition from dominant caste groups and political parties, lack of adequate representation in decision-making bodies, and the persistence of caste-based discrimination and violence. Despite these challenges, the Dalit movement in Telangana remains a strong force for social justice and equality
