ABSTARCT Layoffs, or the termination of employment of a group of employees due to various reasons such as restructuring, downsizing, or economic downturn, have become a common phenomenon in India and across the world. In recent years, layoffs have been particularly prevalent in the technology, finance, and manufacturing sectors. India has witnessed several high-profile layoffs in recent years . In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic led to a sharp rise in layoffs across various sectors, including aviation, hospitality, and retail. Across the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has been a major driver of layoffs. The pandemic has caused widespread disruption to businesses and industries, leading to massive job losses. In the United States, for instance, over 22 million people lost their jobs in March and April 2020 alone. The aviation and hospitality industries have been particularly hard hit, with airlines such as United and Delta announcing massive layoffs in the wake of reduced demand for air travel. However, layoffs have not been restricted to pandemic-related job losses. In recent years, several multinational corporations have announced layoffs as part of their restructuring and cost-cutting efforts. This study is exploratory in nature and it is aimed at finding about government rules and regulations regarding Layoffs by companies , List of Companies that did layoffs in recent years, reasons for Layoffs and and the Impact of these layoffs . Secondary data is used to collect information about the layoffs .

Child labour is a dehumanizing phenomenon that harms children's bodies, minds, spirits and future. It is a prison that withers both capabilities and potential. Under acute economic difficulty, children are compelled to forsake educational possibilities and take up professions which are largely exploiting them and it affects a number of their rights, most notably the right to health and protection from ill-treatment and abuse and the right to education when the work prevents them from attending school or compels them to drop out. As per the national and international laws every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting their lives. This study is carried out in Dimapur, Nagaland, considered as the 'Gate Way of Nagaland and Manipur' and attempts to closely assess the socio-economic parameters including place of origin, caste and religion, parental occupation and causes as to why these child rag-pickers are engaging in the unhealthful occupation and their conditions as they roam in search of rags across the garbage dumping areas in this glittering world of globalization. Thus, by using both the qualitative and quantitative methods this study assesses the impact of the human rights on child labour abolition and perspectives of working children about child labour and also attempts to seek answer how children justify choices they have made regarding work and whether they were forced to work, or did so, on their own choice out of a sense of moral responsibility.

This recent finding from paddy rhizospheric soil of Sunderban, situated in the coastal part of Bay of Bengal, in summer season, demonstrate the hike of salinity of paddy field beyond the normal level. This is threatening for the existence of other plants and corresponding animals, as it renders less water availability to plants due to the increase of osmotic pressure. Mainly mangroves as well as carbon sinks are in threatened condition due to increase of salinity.

Vietnam has a lengthy coastline, with the sea playing a particularly essential role in the country's security and defense; also, the water provides significant economic benefits to Vietnam because of its enormous sea potential. Recognizing the significance of the sea for national destiny, as well as confronting the demands of growing sea-related areas and the problems of the new age, the need to develop human resources, particularly high-quality human resources in Vietnam, is becoming increasingly important. Therefore, in order to develop a talented marine workforce, this research focuses on analyzing the structure of human resources serving Vietnam's marine strategy, and then proposes some breakthrough solutions to develop human resources for Vietnam's marine strategy with high expertise, while also ensuring sufficient quantity to meet the development progress of Vietnam's sea-related fields.

Background : Diabetes mellitus may cause the lowering of the level of Zn in the body by increasing its excretion and decreasing its absorption from intestines or by excretion from kidneys. The proposed mechanism of action of Zn is that it acts as cofactor for the synthesis of insulin, its storage, and probably its secretion from the pancreas. In type 2 DM, the main factor is insulin resistance which may be increased by Zn deficiency. Aim of study : The prevalence of Zn deficiency in diabetic patients and to discover the relationship of glycemic control with serum Zn levels. Patients and method: A cross sectional study was enrolled 50 patients had diabetes type two to study glycemic parameters in relation to zinc level. The descriptive analysis was done to estimate the prevalence of poor control of blood glucose level, percentage of Zn deficiency. Result : The mean age of our study 49.112.3. Sixty five percent had bad glycemic control measured by high HbA1C. forty eight percent of patients had low serum zinc level. There is statically significant in relation of zinc to glycemic indicator patients with high HbA1C had low serum zinc level Conclusion Type two Diabetic patients had poor glycemic control is associated with low Zn levels.

Iron is an essential mineral that the body needs to produce haemoglobin, which transports oxygen from the lungs to all of the body's tissues. Iron is primarily stored as ferritin in the liver, spleen, and bone marrow. Foxtail millet (korra), finger millet (ragi/ragulu), barnyard millet (odalu), little millet (sama), and kodo millet are the staple millets of South India. In addition to these 5, South Indians also consume pearl and jowar millet. Millets Contain modifiers (Inhibitors and Enhancers) of iron absorption. By consuming Millets with appropriate cooking techniques and food combinations , bioavailability of iron can be increased .

A 30-year-old young female presented to the department with chronic left knee pain. She was diagnosed with bone infarcts based on MRI findings, and whose CT scan that was requested for further diagnostic work showed bilateral hip osteonecrosis et diffuse bilateral bone infarcts. We learned then that the patient was taking oral steroids for years for aesthetic purpose.

Introduction: Parental awareness is the best method to prevent thalassemia in children. Parental knowledge regarding thalassemia helps to improve the quality of life in the children. This study has been undertaken to assess the knowledge regarding thalassemia among parent of under 5-year child in selected hospital Latur. Aim: 1. To assess the knowledge about thalassemia among parents. 2. To co-relate knowledge of thalassemia of parents with demographic variable. Methods and Material: Quantitative research approach was used and descriptive research design control group design was chosen for this study. Nonprobability- Purposive sampling technique was used. The samples were 60 parents having 0-5-year child from the selected areas. Self-administered questionnaire was used to check the knowledge regarding thalassemia among parent of under 5-year child. Results: The study revealed that there was significant association of pretest knowledge with demographic variable that are gender and education qualification and previous knowledge regarding thalassemia. The obtained chi square value that is 9.33 of knowledge with demographic variable that is gender and educational qualification previous knowledge regarding thalassemia were found significant. Conclusion: This study concludes that was there effective in assessing knowledge of the parents regarding thalassemia.

IoT(Internet of Things) contains a large number of interconnectivity between different systems, giving free access of selected data for development of technology. Implementation of an IoT project is a very difficult task mainly due to large number of devices, various technologies and services that are included in the system. In this paper, we focus on making of Simple Medicine Reminder using Arduino. This paper hence provides information about Components, Connections and Working of Automatic Medicine Reminder.
