 Abstract

Millions of people each year suffer from periodontitis, sometimes known as gum disease. The periodontium (the soft tissues and bones that surround and support teeth) is harmed by periodontitis, a serious gum infection. Generally, the gums and bones that support the teeth become infected by bacteria found in dental plaque. If left untreated, periodontal conditions can have a serious negative impact on one's health. The last ten years have seen a global shift in the prominence of herbal and Ayurvedic medicines, with ramifications for both medicine and business. In pharmaceutical formulation, herbal excipients play a significant role because they are non-toxic and compatible. Since ancient times, herbal remedies have been used extensively around the world. Both doctors and patients now realize their superior therapeutic value because they have fewer side effects than modern pharmaceuticals. The purpose of the current essay is to provide a comprehensive overview of the current approaches used in the development and use of conventional herbal treatments. This review article provides an overview of the most recent research on the biological effects of natural products including Aloe Vera, Azadirachata indica, Ocimum sanctum, Punica granatum and other significant herbs on the treatment of different periodontal disorders.

 Abstract

This project focuses on the extraction and characterization of mucilage from Tamarindus indica, commonly known as tamarind. Tamarind mucilage is a polysaccharide-rich substance with potential applications in various industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. The extraction process involves optimizing parameters such as temperature, solvent type, and extraction time to achieve maximum yield and quality of mucilage. The extracted mucilage is subjected to thorough characterization using various analytical techniques. Physicochemical properties, such as viscosity, solubility, and moisture content, are assessed to understand the material's behavior and potential applications. Structural elucidation is performed using techniques like Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to identify functional groups and molecular composition. Furthermore, the rheological properties of tamarind mucilage are investigated to evaluate its suitability for specific industrial applications. The project aims to provide valuable insights into the potential uses of tamarind mucilage as a natural and sustainable resource, contributing to the development of eco-friendly products and processes. The findings of this research may open avenues for the utilization of tamarind mucilage in various sectors, promoting sustainable practices and reducing dependency on synthetic alternatives.

 Abstract

Diabetes mellitus stands as one of the most prevalent non-communicable maladies globally. India is confronted with an array of challenges in the management of diabetes, encompassing a mounting incidence of this ailment across urban and rural domains, a prevailing dearth of public awareness regarding the disorder, inadequate medical infrastructure, elevated treatment costs, suboptimal glycemic control, and a surge in the occurrence of diabetic complications. Subcutaneous injections serve as a modality for administering insulin therapy in diabetes management, allowing for up to four administrations daily. Nonetheless, the long-term employment of insulin therapy is beset by detriments to patient outcomes due to challenges associated with patient adherence and the intrusive nature of its delivery mechanism. While type 1 diabetes is observing an upward trajectory, the focal point of the diabetes epidemic is primarily anchored in type 2 diabetes mellitus, which represents over 90% of all diabetes cases. Type 2 diabetes, a perilous and pervading chronic ailment, emerges from a multifaceted interplay of genetic predisposition, environmental factors, and supplementary risk elements, including obesity and sedentary lifestyle behaviors

 Abstract

It has been demonstrated that herbal tea has several benefits. Tisanes are another name for herbal tea. A common and important element of social and cultural gatherings is tea. It is a preparation that strengthens immunity, maintains vitality, and regenerates cells. It eases worry, weariness, tension, and exhaustion. The beverage referred to as "herbal tea" is prepared with medicinal plants, herbs, and spices. Because of its medicinal and healing qualities, it is drunk all over the world without the need for caffeine. It can be purchased loose or in tea bag form. Herbal tea can be made by decoction or infusion with a total amount of water, or it can be diluted to an appropriate consistency and steeped for a predetermined amount of time.Natural bioactive substances like carotenoids, phenolic acids, flavonoids, coumarins, alkaloids, polyacetylenes, saponins, and terpenoids can be found in abundance in herbal teas and beverages. Herbal teas are concoctions prepared from the roots, leaves, fruits, and flowers of vibrant factory corridor plants. Herbal tea has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory qualities, among other medicinal properties. Popular herbal teas include peppermint, ginger, ginseng, black, green, chamomile, and cinnamon teas. Most herbal teas can have one primary herbal component, or a combination of herbs used to achieve a certain goal. With herbal teas, connoisseurs can sample a wide range of flavors and possible health benefits. This study investigates the preparation and assessment of herbal teas, looking at the harmonious combining of therapeutic herbs to produce tasty and useful drinks.

 Abstract

Globalization is putting constant pressure on the growth of India's hallowed websites. Historical and cultural landscapes have not benefited from the same institutional safeguarding and maintenance as background monuments. An integrated conservation technique based on the restoration of the natural and spatial archetypes comprising the panoramic lexicon has been proposed, with the Rockfort Temple complex in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, being used as a case study. Perched on a hill near the banks of the Kaveri river a medieval fort surrounded a collection of structurally intact and excavated temples eventually functioned as the centre of urban growth business has grown at an exponential rate over the last 50 years leading to a variety of issues like traffic bottlenecks perplexing visitor behaviour and vision impairments that have all diminished sanctity little design interventions such as restoring historic homes resurrecting holy tanks planting sacred trees and building rest areas next to pilgrim paths may contribute to clarifying and forming the pilgrim panorama which is composed of shrines temples tanks and groves and circumlocutory paths.

 Abstract

The land has become an expensive unit in India due to its diversion following urbanization, industrialization etc. Further, migration and settlement of rural people in urban areas has been increasing at an alarming rate. It is estimated that, in India, 40.76% of the population is expected to reside in urban areas by 2030. Thus, it is going to increase pressure on natural resources and production volume in the rural areas due to increasing demand for food in urban areas. The cultivated land in urban areas is already limited. Rooftop gardens are an ideal way for an urban gardener to expand their space. Many of the urban homemakers create their own garden, either vegetable or ornamental or a combination of both on the rooftop due to lack of space around their houses. The study explores the rooftop garden trends and identifies the awareness and adoption on various areas of rooftop gardening. The objectives of the study includes finding out the type of rooftop garden, identifying various plants, both vegetable and ornamental, grown in the rooftop, to understand the type of fertilizers and pesticides used in the garden and to analyze the effectiveness is the irrigation and waste management practices of the rooftop garden. A sample of 75 respondents residing in Guntur city in select areas of Vidya Nagar, Lakshmi Puram, Brodiepet, SVN colony maintaining rooftop garden, has been selected for the study through purposive sampling technique.
