Due to the rapid advancement of webtechnologies in recent years, the concepts and applications ofdecision support systems have been significantly extended. In thispaper we present an integrated framework for developing webbasedintelligent decision support systems tofacilitate all phases of consumer decision-making process e-services applications. The technology of DSS is evolving rapidly and academic researchers need to catch-up with practitioners who are implementing innovative DSS. This paper reviews and summarizes recent technology developments, current usage of Web-based DSS, and trends in the deployment of such systems. Many firms use the Web as a medium to convey information about DSS products or to distribute DSS software. The paper briefly mentions a number of Web sites with innovative DSS that highlight current developments.

Today in India the accession of many women holding responsible positions in large industries, banks and holding high ranks in politics presents a very good picture of woman. But.... the real picture does not correlate with the true achievement of women in public life and the number of crimes against women.

The main purpose of the research is to find the solution of drainage issues in road drainage through the observation and study of QFD approach. Firstly, we will investigate the existing road drainage and summarize the design methodology from our previous researches. Through the observations and reviews, this report would conclude the solutions for existing drainage problems. We will work on supply and demand of water, blockage prevention, type of flowing material study. By using QFD approach we will get optimal solution and to save cost and time.

Risk is present in every construction project and each construction project is unique. The risk factors influencing the projects are also different. If these risk factors are not addressed properly at planning stage, it can adversely affect the project performance. In this study, various risk factors were identified and classified according to their nature. Data related to risk measurement was collected through the questionnaire survey and by meeting personnel working in the construction industry. The risk factors were rated for the likelihood of their occurrence and impact was recorded for the projects under case study. These ratings were analyzed using SPSS software and possible correlations were developed for the critical factors. Findings of this study will help the parties associated with the project management to determine the risk correlations at start of the project to minimize risk through effective planning for the successful completion of the project.

The Indian retail industry is growing in a quicker rate because of growth in the shifting demographics of Indian population and progress in the quality of life of urban people. Indian retail industry consists of both organised and unorganised sectors. Organized retail which now constitutes a small percentage of total retail sectors is growing at a higher rate. Growth opportunity in the retail sectors comes with several challenges. There are instances where retailers have failed to know the market and have to suffer losses and in some case had to shut down their business. Hence retailers need to be watchful and be equipped well for the challenges. Understanding the consumer psychology is important in order to frame better marketing strategies to retain customers and develop in the retail business. There is a need to know as to which shopping variables influence the consumers to visit a particular shop? What attracts customers to a specific store? This study focuses on the influence of shopping variable on the grocery shopper in Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka, India.

The Arabian Sea is one of the most productive regions of the world ocean and hence has been the focus of attention of micropaleontologists from all over the world. A 5.4-m gravity core was retrieved onboard the CRV Sagar Kanya from off Goa, Arabian Sea, and its uppermost 50 cm examined for foraminifers. The systematic paleontology of textulariid and miliolid foraminifera from this core segment is presented with relevant remarks and comments on their ecology and distribution.

Out of all traditional process like casting, cutting, forging, forming etc. sheet metal forming is special case of deformation process in which sheet metal work is formed. Curling is a process of converting flat sheet metal into required curved radius surface with applying pre-determined force on press tool, having curl die. Generally, sheet metal formed in press tool with required curl profile die arrangements. The main aim of this project work is design and finite element analysis of curling tool. The curl tool is designed for curling sheet metal of thickness 1.5mm, 2mm and 2.5mm. Based on material properties of sheet metal, radius of curl required and press ton efficiency, Design of curl tool has been done analytically. With these design calculations, 3D modeling of curling tool is done. The finite element analysis carried out by applying appropriate boundary conditions. Then results ofequivalent (Von-Mises) stress and total deformation are evaluated and verified. The software packages used are Solid Edge ST7 for modeling of Curling tool and ANSYS Workbench 14.5 (Structural) for Preprocessing, Solving and Post processing of curling tool.
