The Internet of Things is emerging as the third wave in the development of the internet. It refers to the environment where network connectivity and computing capability extends to objects, sensors and everyday items not normally considered computers. These items are then capable to generate, exchange and consume data with minimal human intervention. Devices or things and technologies came into existence playing significant role and helps doctors or physicians to add wisdom to their decision in healthcare monitoring. IOT as a whole is very broad area. This paper explains the concepts of IoT, healthcare monitoring, its overview and adoption to our homes.

Fertilizer contamination of soil is occurred due to application of fertilizer to soil for plant growth. It percolates steadily into subsurface environments and contaminates the soil and water system. One of the major contaminant sources is agricultural field. The extensive use of fertilizers contaminates the soil and the contamination has not just affected the quality of the soil but will also alter the geotechnical properties of soil and quality of ground water. The large amounts of carbamide (urea) fertilizers which are used in agricultural activities in India leads to the contamination of large quantities of soil surrounding the agricultural fields. An extensive laboratory testing program is carried out to determine the compaction characteristics, hydraulic conductivity, and shear strength parameters of uncontaminated and contaminated soils for comparison. Two types of soils are used including fine to medium sand and clay. Contaminated specimens are prepared by mixing the dried soil samples with different carbamide concentrations of 2,4,6 and 8%. Based on the laboratory tests it is found that a considerable effect occurred on the hydraulic, compaction and shear strength characteristics of soil due to the application of carbamide in it. These soils might be used for geotechnical purposes and the results obtained will benefit to engineers or decision makers in recycling or re-using of contaminated soils.

In our country India about 62 people die every day due to fire related accidents out of which LPG based accidents account for one sixth of the total. Our work has taken this problem due to the alarming statistics .A solution to this problem has been considered. The solution is a sensor based system which provides gas detection through the use of sensors. Control also is initiated to prevent disasters due to gas leakage blasts. There are existing market solutions for the same, but our work has integrated many practical features like electricity turnoff, exhaust fan-on, alert display ,buzzer alarm and alert messages which will ensure safety during gas leakage. Our system can also provide accountability for deaths due to LPG blasts as a message will be sent to a remote user and this can help in detecting the exact time line of events in scenarios like dowry related deaths where foul play is suspected. Such a system can thus act as a deterrent to people who use the pretext of LPG gas blasts for killing innocent women in India. Hence this system can provide better security to human life either in the case of accidental deaths or preplanned murders.

Recent trend in engineering and technology, composite material play a vital role in various application like automobile sector, aerospace application etc.,Due to light weight with the equivalent strength to weight ratio, carbon fiber powdered reinforced polymer composites play a vital role., since the particular material is selected and try to map for the application. (i.e.) for pump impeller. The present studiers revels that there is a formation of corrosion and cavitations in the pump impeller, whereas carbon fiber is good in corrosive resistance and it is one of prompt material for selected application. The die had been designed according to prepare the composite plate with the required dimensions, the proper weight ratio calculation had been analyzed with the particular die and composite plate is prepare the specimen is cut as per the ASTM standard for the tensile test, flexural test and the impact test to predict the strength. And based on the strength, specimen is selected, to map with the application by using the liquid penetrate non-destructive testing the crack formation had been predicted such as shrinkages, pin holes, blow holes etc and also by using the ultrasonic non-destructive testing the thickness variation is predicted in the particular composite plate. Finally the results revels that the strength of the composite material is better than the metals, castiron, structural steel. This is to implement in the pump impeller.

Mergers and Acquisition have become very popular throughout the world in the recent times. This has become popular due to globalization, liberalization, technological developments and intensely competitive business environment. Mergers and acquisition are a big part of corporate finance world. This process is extensively used for restructuring the business organization. The present paper studies the reasons for the merger of ICICI bank and Bank of Rajasthan. The aim of the paper is to study the impact of merger on the operating profit of the ICICI Bank. The analysis consists of two phases first is the pre-merger and second is the post-merger.

The empirical Study evaluated the performance of top three Private sector Banks in India namely, H.D.F.C Bank, I.C.I.C.I Bank and Axis Bank with three aspects - financial perspective, Internal Business process perspective and Profitability analysis. Financial perspective evaluates using Credit deposit ratio (CDR), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Net Non-Performing assets to total advances ratio (NNPAR). Internal Business Process perspective evaluate using Cost to income ratio (CIR), Business per Employee (BPE) and Profit per Employee (PPE). Further, profitability of these banks during the period from 2010-11 to 2016-17 was measured in terms of return on assets (RoA) and Return on Equity (RoE). The outcomes of the present study that ICICI Bank performance with respect financial perspective and internal business perspective but in the last year of study period in these two aspects HDFC bank performance is good in compare of another two selected banks. HDFC bank performance during the study period 2010-11 to 2016-17 was good with respect to Profitability analysis.
