The Automated Highway System (AHS) concept defines a new relationship between vehicles and the highway infrastructure. AHS refers to a set of designated lanes on a limited access roadway where specially equipped vehicles are operated under completely automatic control. AHS uses vehicle and highway control technologies that shift driving functions from the driver/operator to the vehicle.Throttle, steering, and braking are automatically controlled to provide safer and more convenient travel. AHS also uses communication, sensor and obstacle-detection technologies to recognize and react to external infrastructure conditions. The vehicles and highway cooperate to coordinate vehicle movement, avoid obstacles and improve traffic flow, improving safety and reducing congestion. In sum, the AHS concept combines on-board vehicle intelligence with a range of traffic flow intelligent technologies installed onto existing highway infrastructure and communication technologies that connect vehicles to highway infrastructure.

ABSTRACT-Rainwater Harvesting is the accumulating and storing, of rainwater for reuse, before it reaches the aquifer . It has been used to provide drinking water , water for livestock , water for irrigation , as well as other typical uses given to water. Rainwater collected from the roofs of houses, tents and local institutions, can make an important contribution to the availability of drinking water.Water collected from the ground, sometimes from areas which are especially prepared for this purpose, is called Storm water harvesting . In some cases, rainwater may be the only available, or economical, water source. Rainwater harvesting systems can be simple to construct from inexpensive local materials, and are potentially successful in most habitable locations. Roof rainwater can be of good quality and may not require treatment before consumption. Although some rooftop materials may produce rainwater that is harmful to human health, it can be useful in flushing toilets, washing clothes, watering the garden and washing cars; these uses alone halve the amount of water used by a typical home.

This research paper discusses about “the role of Training and Development ” in Performance Management System. This major objective of the research is to analyze the benefits of training and development for Organisational Development. The primary objectives of this research is to find out whether training accelerate individual performance and also to arrive at the benefits of Training and Development for an organization. Statistical Analysis has been performed based on the opinions from employees working in various Government Organizations. Based on the analyzed data, a few factors have been arrived at on Training and Development. This paper also emphasizes arriving at the purpose of Training and Development which leads to organizational success. This research is descriptive and analytical in nature. Study mainly depends on primary data which has been derived from interviews and questionnaires. However, some secondary sources of data were also used. Sampling is done by “Convenient Sampling Method”.
