The present study aimed to examine the comparative study on the amelioration of cypermethrin hepatic toxicity by aqueous extract on Annona muricata leaf and methotrexate in albino rats. Wistar strain albino rats of 130-250 grams of body weight (BW) were selected and divided six groups of five rats. First group (Group I) served as normal control. Second group (Group II) given cypermethrin (CYP) (0.05 ml/100g BW/day) for 60 days. Third group (Group III) given aqueous Annona muricata leaf extract (AMLE) (0.05 ml/100g BW/day) for 60 days orally. Fourth group (Group IV) was treated with Methotrexate (MTX) (1.0mg/100 gm BW/day) once a week intraperitoneally. Fifth and Sixth group (Group V & Group VI) given cypermethrin (0.05 ml), with supplementations of AMLE (0.05 ml) and methotrexate (1.0 mg/ 100gm BW/week) resp. for 60 days. A significant increase in body weight can be seen in all treatment groups expect MTX treated group, when compared to control, the rate of increase is observed to be almost equal irrespective of treatment on comparison with cypermethrin treated control. On comparison with control a significant decrease in liver weight can be observed in all the treatment groups except MTX supplementation group. But no significant changes can be observed on AMLE supplementation, while MTX supplementation seems to be more beneficial in liver weight. Control group showed normal hepatocytes in trabeculae separated by sinusoids. while no significant pathological changes were observed on AMLE treatment, CYP as well as MTX brought about an alteration in lobular architecture. Concurrent supplementation was AMLE showed altered lobular architecture with vacuolations and necrosis in hepatocytes, while MTX supplementation showed normal lobular architecture with mild interface hepatitis.

Abstract: An attempt has been made to analyze the dimensions of poverty among cotton growing farmers in Kalyana Karnataka district of Raichur which were purposively selected. A sample of 200 farmers was selected through a stratified random sampling method. The families of the cotton growing farmers were interviewed during the crop year 2007-08 with a pre-tested questionnaire. The results indicated that most of the annual family incomes were below Rs.25,000 and averaged at Rs.1,26,328 while the annual expenses were Rs.1,22,857. The average size of the holdings was 2.88 hectares. The returns from cotton cultivation ranged from Rs. 1,535 to Rs.12, 246/ha., increasing with the size of holding. All respondents were debtors with nearly half of them defaulters to the loans taken while others were repayers to different extents. Loan utilization was mostly to the purpose borrowed which was for raising crops and loan defaults was due to crop failure or low price. Lending sources were mainly banks and money lenders the latter charging twice as much as banks as interest. Owned property was also sold to clear-off old debt repayment, marriage and medical expenses. Migration to seek seasonal jobs was seen among 10 to 22 % of the respondents, which seasonally supplemented their incomes to as much as 10% of their annual income. External factors that were quoted by the farmers as the reasons for their poverty were lack of proper market mechanism for their agricultural produce, inadequate supply of inputs, credit, power etc. for cultivation.

This paper presents diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy affected diabetic patients using image processing methods. To study recent algorithms related to Image Enhancement (Morphological enhancement-Fusion Morphological Reconstruction (FMR)) and Segmentation (Morphological Watershed and Fast Marching Algorithm) to solve the problem and attempt to modify the algorithm for specific application. To establish an Improved efficient fusion approach as said in title of the topic by combining the image processing (Enhancement and segmentation) techniques as per requirements and also to tabulate statistical comparison of image attributes. To explore and investigate the significance of less commonly used estimate parameters in process of medical image analysis. To develop a frame work for qualitative automatic medical imaging to detect and forecast the irregularity in the considered problem for accurate diagnosis. In addition, we have developed a novel algorithm for the parallelization of the fast marching method which uses the time warp approach to parallel discrete event simulation. The new algorithm has been implemented using the message passing interface (MPI), enabling it to run on distributed memory machines. This is very useful for diabetic retinopathy affected diabetic patients and monitoring the affected range of eyesight.

BACKGROUND: The term Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) refers to chronic disorder that causes disturbance in the airflow. COPD is a major health problem with increasing morbidity and mortality. In COPD other than its Pulmonary pathology disease and disease gradually worsen and dynamic hyperinflation occur. Leads, to dyspnea and alteration in hemodynamic function in COPD patients. So, aim of present study is to find out to compare the effect of pursed-lip breathing and Nadi-Sodhana pranayama on Cardio-Respiratory parameter in patient with COPD. METHOD: 20 COPD patients according to inclusion criteria were selected and divided into two groups. Experimental group:1 given pursed-lip breathing and group:2 given Nadi-Sodhana pranayama. Pre and post data for cardio-respiratory parameter taken. Cardio-Respiratory parameter was (HR, RR, SPO2, SBP, DBP and RPP). RESULT: Data was analyzed using SPSS version 20. Both paired-T test and Unpaired T-test applied for statistically analysis of outcome measure and it showed there was statistically significance improvement in HR, RR, SPO2, SBP, DBP and RPP.in both group:1 and group:2. With 95% of confidence interval 0.05 taken as level of significance. CONCLUSION: from present study it can be concluded that pursed-lip breathing and Nadi-Sodhana pranayama both are statistically significant improvement in HR, RR, SBP, DBP, and RPP.
