Abstract: The purpose of the current study is to identify a tool for assessment of environmental fall-hazards in residential spaces of elderly persons that is reliable for application in empirical studies for building and environmental design. Six standardized tools that were designed for the assessment of environmental fall-hazards were recruited for the current study. A comparative study of the tools was conducted to identify criteria for reliable assessment. Eight criteria of environmental fall-hazard assessment tools were identified. The study could not identify any tools that satisfied all eight criteria. The Housing Enabler tool was found to be the most versatile tool among the six tools selected for the study. However, the tool requires slight modifications for reliable applications in countries other than Sweden. It was observed that the majority of the tools did not consider the effect of perceived environmental fall-hazards, user opinions, the intensity of risk imposed, and the functional ability of the user as criteria for assessment.

Finance is considered to be the most critical aspect of an organization. If the financial health and performance is not good of an organization than it cannot grow neither it can sustain for longer time phase, hence efficient management of financial resources is required further it requires proper attention in order to optimize the financial resources, This study have been undertaken to determine the effectiveness and accuracy of Altmans Bankruptcy Model on Indian companies. To do that, this paper examines the Altman Z score model on various bankrupt companies and studies the data of past i.e. 2 or 3 years from the date of filling legal bankruptcy, we will check whether this model helps us to give any indication before happening of an event. Further in the paper, Altman model have been applied to companies of NIFTY METAL index and will find out the financial position of the industry(company-wise) and will determine whether the companys financial health is not good and does it take part of distress zone. The findings of the paper indicate that Z score is not the prediction instead it is the likelihood, from companys financials, it may look likely that bankruptcy appears, but the management may well succeed in improving matters. However, for investor it is wise to keep an eye on companys solvency.

Masonry infill is often considered as nonstructural element while analyzing structure. To know actual behavior of structure, the effect of masonry infill is need to be incorporated in seismic evaluation. In this work, several research papers were reviewed and the results from different analysis method are compared to study the effect of masonry infill for different storied structure. From review it is seen that, inclusion of masonry infill changes fundamental time period of vibration, story displacement and base shearcharacteristics

This paper studies the representation of Dalit women in audiovisual media especially on television with the analytical approach of Dalit feminism in India. It is based on 500 individual interviews of Dalit educated middle class women, from Nagpur city, 15 core-group interviews and content analysis of secondary data. It is found that the Dalit woman is missing in news, advertisement as well as in daily soap operas and reality shows in Marathi and Hindi channels. Dominant media through its brahminical, high caste & class lances misrepresent and misinterpret her culture. She depicted as dirty, untidy, physically weak, rape victim, highly superstitious, immoral and easily available prey for sex, saleable or criminal. Mainly she showed in the role of house maiden, Zaduwali or labor. Media ignored her day to day struggle for livelihood, for physical security, struggle for basic needs, and her participation in political movement as she is the part of all Dalit movements including Naxalite movement. She successfully struggled for gender rights within and outside her community as well as she strongly participated in labor movement in non-organized sectors and political arena as labor. But, this struggling image never becomes the part of any news, soap-operas or documentary on Medias. Dalit women enjoyed more freedom than other women as Dalit society has comparatively weak patriarchy where women worked inside and outside the home throughout the age, she has all social right and enjoyed family head-ship and because of that she has misinterpreted by dominant media after evaluated by the scale of brahmanical values. On these issues, Dalit women refuted media as the part of their life and accepted it as mere means of entertainment that represented others. They are not adopting media as motivational factor, inspirational instrument or the art of depiction of agony of their life, but they found alienated and alien to them.
