 Abstract

Purpose of the current study was to determine the relative contribution of the students motivation, fluid reasoning and working memory to the prediction of mathematics learning. The study was conducted at Durgapur KC high School in West Bengal. Out of all 5th-8th graded students, only two hundred late childhood students aged 10-13 years were taken as sample by simple random sampling. In the 2019 academic session, three tools named Muthee achievement motivation inventory (Muthee & Thomas, 2009), Ravens Standard Progressive Matrices (SPM), and Working Memory Index - Digit Span and Letter-Number Sequencing (WISC-IV) were administered to measure students motivation, fluid reasoning and working memory respectively. The test score for the whole year, including the final exam of the 2019 academic session, were taken as a dependent variable to measure how much students were learning math. The result showed that students motivation, fluid reasoning and working memory were predictor of math learning statistically significant. Cognitive abilities such as fluid & crystallized intelligence, working memory and mathematical memory (LTM), intrinsic motivation all work together when solving problems, resulting in math learning.

 Abstract

The maximum number of flows that can be sent from the source to the sink is addressed in Maximum Flow Problem. The algorithm for Edmonds-Karp is a modified version of the algorithm for Ford-Fulkerson. The solution to this has also been demonstrated by the use of the proposed method to justify the utility of the approach proposed. Since certain parts of its protocol are left unspecified, Ford-Fulkerson is often called a process. On the other hand, Edmonds-Karp offers complete specifications. Most notably, it states that during the intermediate phases of the programme, breadth-first search should be used to find the shortest paths. Like Ford-Fulkerson, Edmonds-Karp also deals with max- flow min - cut problems. The maximum flow in Edmonds-Karp algorithm is a highly polynomial time algorithm. This algorithm uses BFS to find augmenting paths.

 Abstract

Measurement systems for early and reliable detection of degenerative diseases, like Alzheimers disease (AD), are extremely important in clinical diagnosis. Among these, biochemical assays represent a commonly used method to differentiate patients from healthy population thanks to the sensitive recognition of specific biomarkers in biological fluids. So on beat actual limitations of these techniques in term of cost, standardization, and sensitivity, this study aimed to grasp a low-cost sensitive portable point-of-care (PoC) testing system supported on screen-printed electrochemical sensors. The designed circuit was implemented during a electrical device board and interfaced to a wireless system supported IOT data transmission so on enhance the portability of the proposed solution. Preliminary results were obtained by using controlled concentrations of electrolytic solutions and calibrating the sensors for antibodies and for a documented protein (i.e., interleukin 8) quantified by anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV). Findings from ASV measurements showed a sensitivity of 38 A/(ng/ml) with a tested range from 1.25 ng/ml, with a limit of detection of two ng/ml. Further investigation will includes the validation of this PoC device by testing the concentration of a particular p53 protein isoform, which was recently identified to early correlate to AD development.

 Abstract

Since time memorial man has been dependent on Mother Nature for his all sorts of needs. This dependency of human beings on natural resources is increasing day by day with the increase in population. This ever-growing assault on the limited resources is affecting the sustainability, especially the non-renewably energy resources. Conservation for sustainable future is need of the hour and led to the paradigm shift from the use of non-renewable energy resources to renewable energy resources. And use of water resources to meet out increasing energy requirement of any economy or society has increased to greater extent in past four decades and almost all rivers/rivulets in Himalayan region has been targeted and Ravi basin in Northern western Himalayas is not an expectation. Ravi being one of the five perennial rivers of Himachal Pradesh, as per official records the hydropower generation potential capacity of this basin has been assessed 2301.5 MW and out of which 1038.5 MW potential has been commissioned so far by installing four major power projects. There are more than 100 mini and micro hydroelectric power projects are in different stages of their execution. In approximately 20 kms long Saal valley there are 8 mini power projects are in different stages of their execution. As per the version of PRIs these projects are expected to affect the lives of thousands of villagers negatively as well as the physical environment of the area. Because of opposition of people as well as in view of natural disasters the viability of such power projects in north west Himalayas is being questioned. The disturbances in the lives of thousands of people and fragile physical environment can be saved by using the Dr. Anil Joshis model of converting water mills into electricity producing units.

 Abstract

Heterocyclic chemistry comprises at least half of all organic chemistry around the world. Quinazoline and its derivatives constitute an important class of heterocyclic compounds. The chemistry of quinazoline compounds has a centuries-old history; However, intensive exploration of biologically active substances in this series began only in the last few decades. This current communication attempts to cover the pharmacologically active compounds with recent discoveries that were made about these biological activities.

 Abstract

Elie Wiesel (1977) stated: If the Greeks invented tragedy, the Romans the epistle, and the Renaissance the sonnet, our generation invented a new literature, that of testimony (p. 9). Wiesel refers to testimony theatre as the most prominent innovation of modern playwrights. While Albert Einstein once observed that the secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources, others state that testimony theatre does the opposite. This genre of factually-based theatre is based originally on saying the unsaid and unveiling the unknown, as practitioners argue (Hammond and Steward, 2008, p. 9). However, the relation between this genre of theater and journalism is arguably problematic. The purpose of this study is to find satisfying answers for these questions: What is the main reason of the flourish of testimony theatre in the twentieth century? Why have traditional fictional works become inadequate in dealing with burning issues? Why has journalism failed in tackling such serious social and political issues? And how factually-based theater managed to compensate this role?

 Abstract

Few many years ago, the businesses have dedicated sufficient resources to consider new systems. The cause of this adoption would be to achieve the competitive benefit at end and also to attract new clients however. It is really a due proven fact that the financial sector is actually among the sectors that change drastically due to technological development. The reason for this study would be to examine the actual factors that affect cellular banking (M-banking) popularity in Islamic banking institutions of Pakistan using the modified single theory associated with acceptance and utilization of technology (UTAUT) design. The overall performance expectancy, assisting conditions, interpersonal influence, work expectancy, recognized value, routine and hedonic inspiration are used as impartial variables. Likewise, the intention to consider M-banking is actually taken since the mediator, and real usage can be used as the actual dependent adjustable. Two popular methods tend to be covariance-based as well as variance-based. In this study, the actual variance-based technique, the PLSSEM, is put on evaluate the actual assumptive design. However, this process has minimal limitation upon sample dimensions and recurring distributions when compared with other covariance-based techniques. Estimates were in line with the two-step directions of Anderson as well as Gerbig (1988) as well as were completed in two steps. Within the first phase, reliability as well as validity from the model had been examined and within the second phase, the evaluation from the structural model and also the hypotheses had been tested.

 Abstract

Complex and critical elements of any modern aircraft are aircraft communication, navigation and flight control systems, and many other functions. Current avionic systems are more and more computer oriented, and software can be attributed to a growing percentage of device complexity. An airplane protection software error may lead to tragic incidents, such as many fatalities and aircraft losses. Certification agencies recognise the submission of compliance report for RTCA document DO-178B/C for software creation to show compliance with airworthiness specifications. The production of Avionics software is generally complex and historically depends on a rigorous planning process, with early setting of comprehensive requirement and late manufacturing of working software. This can result in a lot of reproaching and risk of budget overruns and schedule adjustments and software bugs being fixed. This raises the issue of the use of agile techniques in the production of avionics software. Based on the findings of two activities: an industrial literature review with the implementation of agile methodology in a DO-178B/C context, and a professional evaluation of the DO-178B/C objectives, an agile development framework is presented where Scrum is enhanced to achieve the DO-178B/C goals. Applying agile practices can help produce working applications on a daily basis and be able to adapt to changes, thereby lowering the risk of budget and schedule overruns.
