The daily rainfall data for the period of 39 years (1980-2018) were collected from the National Data Center (NDC), India Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune, India for Hisar (Haryana) situated in semi-arid zone of North India. Every year, the region faces adverse effects of moisture deficiency. Generally, potential evapotranspiration requirements exceed the rainfall during eight months in a year except the monsoon season (June-September). The data were processed and analyzed to establish the long term averages of rainfall and variability on weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual basis. Different descriptive statistics techniques like mean, standard deviation (SD) and coefficient of variation (CV) were carried out. During the study period, the rainfall data showed that the annual daily rainfall received ranged between 257.5 mm (minimum) in 1997 to 691.6 mm (maximum) in 1988 indicating a very large range of fluctuation. The normal annual rainfall at Hisar was 411.1 mm with SD of 114.8 and CV of 27.9 %. The normal annual rainy day and crop day was 28 and 20.2 days with SD of 5 and 4.4 and CV of 17.8 and 20.2 %. July received maximum normal rainfall of 109.5 mm followed by August (90.2 mm). The stable rainfall period was of 16 weeks, which spread over 24th to 39th standard meteorological weeks (SMW). During South West (SW) monsoon season (June to September), seasonal normal rainfall was 275 mm which contributed 75 per cent to the total annual normal rainfall with a coefficient of variation of 44.4 per cent.

Water the major natural resource on earth, Nowadays there are many reasons left for the contamination of water. According to the survey done by UNICEF states that abundance of contaminated water has a disastrous effect on Children. Excessive intake of fluoride (F), mainly through drinking water, is a serious health hazard affecting humans worldwide. There are several methods used for the defluoridation of drinking water. Fluoride in excess of the permissible limits in drinking water causes a number of endemic conditions referred to collectively as fluorosis. Endemic fluorosis remains a challenging national health problem in India. Telangana is the worst affected states in India though a wide range of chemical and physical defluoridation systems were evolved and tried. The primary reason for the diseases like fluorosis, paraplegia, arthritis and many other cardiovascular diseases in rural areas like Nalgonda a district in Telangana , INDIA is the high content of fluorine in their drinking water. For optimal dental health, the World Health Organization recommends a level of fluoride from 0.5 to 1.0 mg/L (milligrams per liter), depending on climate. Fluorosis becomes possible above this recommended dosage. Activated alumina, charcoal, sand defluoridation filter method can be used as it occupies less space, works automatically, can be used for large-scale purification and also consumes less energy

The main purpose of the paper is to develop a prototype of Black Box for Vehicle diagnosis that can be installed into any vehicle . Like flight data recorders in aircraft " Black Box " technology plays a key role in vehicle crash investigations. This prototype can be designed with minimum number of circuits . This can be contribute to construct safer vehicles improving the treatment for crash victims , helping insurance companies with their vehicle crash investigations and enhancing road status on order to decrease the death rate . The prototype provides complete information about the car along with Navigation system in collaboration with Google Map . The prototype can provide Artificial Intelligence support by having a communication channel between the user and the user and the car or bike

Background: Gingival overgrowth is one of the common presentation of gingival disease often is the consequence of using certain medications, if left untreated could result in severe oral complications, however diagnosis of these entities becomes challenging due to its varied presentations. It is often associated with poor oral hygiene. Aim: To evaluate the knowledge of gingival enlargement among the dental students and to reinforce the importance of these enlargements in clinical practice by giving additional education regarding pathophysiology, presentation and treatment. Method: A cross sectional study was conducted using self-administered questionnaire, through Google forms among 100 dental students across dental colleges in Tamil Nadu, India during COVID-19 pandemic lockdown period. Results and Discussion: On evaluating the knowledge about gingival enlargement only 42% responded for it to be an increase in size of gingiva and 35% were not sure whether gingival enlargement will be reduced after scaling procedure. On assessing the treatment option available for gingival enlargement only 39% participants believe gingival enlargement is treatable among which fewer than one fourth (24%) of total participants considered it as a reversible condition. Majority of the students were unaware of clinical presentation and complications of gingival enlargement. Conclusion: The present study clearly showed a lack of awareness and knowledge among the budding dental students about gingival enlargement during their early academic life. Hence steps have to be taken to incorporate positive knowledge and reinforce the importance of these enlargements in clinical practice by giving additional education towards the outcome of improper treatment.
