The knocking sound of handlooms can be heard almost everywhere in Nadia and purba Bardhaman districts. Weaving is the second field of employment, so the weaving process is no longer only in the hands of hereditary weavers. Other class of people is more or less directly or indirectly involved in the weaving process. The weaving is spreading to other areas where the expansion of other occupations has been stopped. Unlike other districts, not for part time, not even for partial livelihood, most of the weavers in these districts are full time weavers. After partition of India and erstwhile Bengal many handloom weavers from Dhaka, Nowakhali and Tangail districts came in Nadia and Purba Bardhaman districts and settled there. The article tries to describe socio-economic, political aspects of refugee weavers in particular and handloom textile industries in general.

TITLE: FASCINATION AND THE IMPULSIVE IN AESTHETIC This article deals with aesthetic experience is distinct as an experience qualitatively different from everyday experience and similar to other exceptional states of mind. Not all feelings evoked by reading literature are purely "aesthetic." The latter combines reactive and reflective responses, integrating emotional and mental processes in the evaluation of a literary text, and involves some conceptual conflict, as evidenced by the seeming paradox included in the term "aesthetic emotions." This chapter examines fascination as an aesthetic emotion after providing a brief overview of recent findings in the area. It suggests that this emotion can be thought of as a mix of feelings that test the boundaries of our emotional repertoire, lead to moments of emotional and cognitive disorientation, and elicit momentary insecurities of attachment that ultimately add to the pleasure associated with navigating these difficult feelings while reading. It continues by stating that considering its emphasis on conflicting feelings and emotions.

On October 15, 1949, the state of Tripura, which had previously been a princely state, became a "C" category state and became part of the Indian Territory. The beginning of the 1950s marked the beginning of this state's transition to having a majority population composed of tribal people. The migration of non-tribal people over the border from Bangladesh, which was once a part of East Pakistan, caused a shift in the demographic makeup of the state after the partition of India. There are 19 different tribes in Tripura, in addition to a non-tribal community. It has Tripuri, Reang, Jamatia, Chakma, Lusai, Mog, Garo, Kuki, Chaimal, Uchai, Hala,,Khasia, Bhutia, Munda, Orang, Lepcha, Santal, Bhil and Noatia. As of the census taken in 2001, the population of scheduled tribes was 9,93,426, up from 8,53,345 (30.95 percent) in the census taken in 1991. The total number of scheduled tribe men and females was 5,04,320 and 4,89,106, respectively, according to the census taken in 2001.However, the primary emphasis of this research is placed on the indigenous knowledge and practises of the ethnic communities of Tripura, which the people of these communities have been incorporating into their day-to-day lives. In addition, the study will shed some light on the role that tribal women play in the performance of these practices.
