ABSTRACT Exploring the intricacies of Cause-Related Marketing (CRM) campaigns, the research aims to gauge their alignment with the distinct socio-cultural nuances of Coimbatore District. Given CRM's transformative potential in marrying corporate objectives with societal good, this study aims to probe public perceptions of Cause-Marketing Campaigns and discern local community preferences in relation to marketed causes. A sample size of 129 individuals, spanning various occupational sectors, was engaged using descriptive statistics, ANOVA analysis, and correlation analysis. The findings unveiled a dominant sentiment of respondents discussing marketed causes within their community, pointing towards the community's active engagement in CRM. Despite a noticeable alignment between individual beliefs and marketing campaigns, there exists a discernible mismatch between personal cause preferences and the causes predominantly marketed. Recommendations emphasize the need for campaigns to bridge this disconnect by better aligning with genuine community concerns. Age emerged as a pivotal factor in shaping CRM perceptions, whereas education predominantly influenced local community preferences. The study concludes by underlining the profound influence of both personal beliefs and communal dialogues on cause-marketing perceptions and highlights the opportunity for marketers to harness this synergy for more impactful CRM campaigns in Coimbatore District.

Abstract: Lead (Pb) - toxicity causes inhibition of growth in plants, causes adverse effects to live stocks and finally reaches to humans through the process of biomagnification. The adverse effects of lead contamination include damage to kidneys and nervous system etc. In this experiment effects of lead contamination studied on Arachis hypogaea plant. The seeds (consist of several active components alkaloids, flavonoids, phytosterols etc) were sown on soil irrigated with 0 ppm, 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 30 ppm and 40 ppm lead concentrations. Growth productivity indices were recorded 8 - 9 weeks. The data generated is subjected to one - way of analysis of variants. The results showed that increase in lead concentration resulted in toxic effects in various growth indices and productivity of the plant. The filling potentials of the plant were greatly reduced with increase in concentrations of lead. The seeds produced accumulated more lead with increase in their concentrations. This study has been used to show the risks of consumption of ground nuts that are irrigated with contaminated effluents or waste water.

Background: In the present study, the protective effect of vitamin D3 against sodium fluoride induced nephrotoxicity was evaluated in rats. A vital role in kidney protection and ensuring the longevity of healthy kidneys is played by vitamin D3. The risk of autoimmune disorders, internal diseases, cancer, and infections is increased when vitamin D3 deficiency is present. Objective: a consequence of prolonged exposure to numerous pharmaceutical products, including industrial material, fluoride-containing herbicides, medications, and fire extinguishers. Concerns concerning fluoride toxicity have grown recently. As a result, scientists are constantly hunting for medications that could reduce toxicity in different human organs. This study will evaluate the nephroprotective effects of vitamin D3 against renal damage caused by sodium fluoride. Methods: In this study, 30 rats were divided into 5 groups of 6 rats each. Rats were fed water containing 100 ppm of sodium fluoride, and vitamin D3 was administered orally for 30 days in three different doses: 250 IU per kg, 500 IU per kg, and 1000 IU per kg. The Nephrotoxicity indicators were assessed. Results: Sodium fluoride considerably decreased total protein while dramatically increasing urea, uric acid, and creatinine. It also helps people lose weight. On the other hand, in the test group, vitamin D3 significantly decreased levels of urea, uric acid, and creatinine while also raising levels of total protein. Furthermore, it enhanced the rats' body weight in test groups. Results: The test animals that drank 100 parts per million water for 30 days had high levels of urea, uric acid, and creatinine in their blood, but lower levels of total protein. The test group received vitamin D3 doses of 250, 500, and 1000 IU/kg, leading to weight gain, decreased urea, uric acid, and creatinine levels, and increased levels of total protein. The study group that received 1000 IU/kg performed well. Vitamin D3 considerably reduced the nephrotoxicity brought on by sodium fluoride in a dose-dependent manner.

Modern biotechnology relies heavily on advancements in plant tissue culture and micropropagation, offering precise control of environmental conditions, efficient plant regeneration, and disease-free mass production within sterile environments. These techniques enable genetic diversity preservation and the cultivation of plants under otherwise inhospitable conditions. Micropropagation involves five stages: explant preparation, aseptic culture initiation, shoot multiplication, rooting of in vitro shoots, and transplantation. Challenges include somaclonal variation, hyperhydricity, and tissue browning, mitigated through analyses, optimal culture conditions, and adsorbents. Despite challenges, micropropagation plays a crucial role in accelerated crop development, disease-free plant production, and genetic conservation, making it an indispensable tool in modern agriculture and horticulture.
