 Abstract

Today if we want to buy any goods, they are just a click away through computers and laptops. We can order them by the comfort of sitting at our home. Today, customer service calls are been handled through the help of Artificial intelligence. As we face the progress of technological upgradation with the rise of Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, Internet of things, Robotics, and many other technological fields, this has created a humongous anxiety among the citizens as these technological changes will make the jobs even advanced, which will demand higher skills which many of us do not seem to have yet. There is a worry that only few of them will have good high paying jobs, affecting others or maybe working with a lower pay. Due to this threat, even the communities are being affected as with lower pay, people tend to move to even poorer community where the surroundings are not well supported. This leaves us with only few jobs, that will be highly demandable in the age of technological revolution.

 Abstract

Due to rapid urbanization, industrialization and growth of population there is tremendous increase in construction activities, has led to scarcity of land with good bearing capacities thus forcing the construction over sites deemed unsuitable for such activities. To improve the geotechnical properties of soil of such sites soil stabilization methods are adopted. The cities and villages are coming closer there is fast growth of vehicles running on roads. There is shortage of land for construction of buildings, roads, highways and airfields. The land available may or may not be suitable for construction activities. The existing site conditions may or may not be sufficiently strong enough to withstand the load coming on it. In order to overcome these problems, ground improvement technique such as soil stabilization, soil reinforcement etc. are evolved. Stabilization is an effective alternative for improving soil properties, the engineering properties derived from stabilization vary widely due to heterogeneity in soil composition. The mechanical stabilization of soil proves to be cost effective and reliable. As the property of expansive soil proves to be suitable for mechanical stabilization, the cohesive natured clayey soil were chosen and checked for their geotechnical properties with other general soil characteristics by varying the content of stone dust. This thesis mainly presents the economics of the soil stabilization stone dust as additive at different percentages. The economics is calculated based on the present market rate prevailing at Hyderabad.

 Abstract

This paper examines the exploration of the self in the memoir Kaifi & I. There are many negative stereotypes related to Indian Muslim women that need to be corrected. The paper seeks to understand how an Indian Muslim woman overcomes the obstacles and achieves her goals thereby challenging the stereotypes. Shaukhat Kaifi was born into a Muslim noble family in Hyderabad. She was an eminent Indian theater and film actress. It is set amidst the background of a political and rebellious pre-independent India. The book documents not only about the personal life of Shaukat and Kaifi but also about various aspects of life before independence. Their lives are associated with the world of literature, poetry, theatre and politics. The present paper attempts to answer the following questions: Does the memoir enable her to express herself? How does Shoukat Kaifi represent herself? What are the reasons for recording her life? How does she delineate man-woman relationship and other familial relationships?

 Abstract

For Better transportation there is need for cars manufacturers to provide good safety systems The brake system has become important active safety systems. The disc brake is a device for deaccelerating or stopping the rotation of a wheel. This work presents the analysis of the contact pressure at the disc interfaces using a detailed 3-dimensional model of a brake in FEM. Finite element (FE) model of the brake-disc is created using solid modeling Software i.e. Pro-E and Analyzed in ANSYS which is based on the finite element method (FEM). It also investigates contact pressure distributions at varying load. Due to rise in temperature the change in angular velocity and the contact pressure is also studied. Wear reduces the life of friction material. Due High wear, the frictional material needs to be replaced Continuously. Problems such as Continuous wear of brake pads and thermal cracks in brake discs are due to high temperatures. Continuously controlling the temperature and thermal and mechanical stresses are critical to proper functioning of the braking system. Cooling of Brake System is further an important aspect to consider for brake disc durability and performance. Different materials for brake pads is tested as compared with the existing one. Finally comparison between analytical results and result obtained from Ansys is carried out and all the values obtained from the analysis are less than their Permissible values. Hence on the basis of thermal and contact stress analysis best suitable material is suggested.

 Abstract

This paper illustrates how to set up a model within ELFEN to compute the buckling load for an arch subject to pressure loading. The work consists of a simple arch which is pin-jointed in the middle at both ends. The solution is obtained by carrying out a dynamic analysis using the ELFEN explicit code. Instructions are provided on how to create a 2D model of the arch. The analysis is completed using ELFEN Version 3.0.4(a finite element program for Microsoft Windows NT). The program allows pre-processing, analysis and post-processing stages to be completed within a single application. The program can be used to model a large number of situations including buckling, plastic deformation, forming and stress analysis. In this paper it is shown that th e shape of the buckling depend on buckling load. Also calculated the load factor.

 Abstract

Sudha Murthy is considered to be one of the eminent and prominent women writer in Indian writing in English. A study of her works will be reveal that she tries to explore the psychological state of her characters, because she thinks that inner life of man or a woman decides her character more than the external conditions of life. As we study her characters we see they are very simple like Sudha Murthy but only one turning point comes in their lives and life of protagonist changes drastically. The title itself explains the story and speaks about the mentality of the society. People around her like mother- in- law her step mother changes their attitude towards her but this brings positive as well as constructive change in Anupamas life. She challenges the prevalent version of Indian women identity stereotype subverting their guest for fulfillment with an intense dissatisfaction with the family systems. She returns her home, only to leave it and go to Bombay from where her life changes! Jane Eyre seeks dignity and respect, and throughout the book the reader see the evolution of the protagonist. The book is considered to be very influential during the time it was published, and it also represented the modern view of womens position in society.

 Abstract

This paper essentially tries to peek into the concept, if education necessarily enhances the productivity of one self, and if it does so, whether that would imply high returns. Education is often used a stair case to move towards the higher payoff schemes of life. The paper analyses if this mindset is a myth prevailing in the education sector, forcing people to overeducate oneself and eventually reducing their scope in the job markets where experience and adequate education is weighted higher than over education. Different theories of education and job match are taken into account to determine if overeducation is essentially a persistent phenomenon prevailing in the labour markets, what are its causes and how does it affect the earning opportunities of an individual. The Mincers wage equation has been used here to study the effect of returns for over, under and adequately educated individuals. A numerous case studies were taken into consideration in order to support the concept.

 Abstract

Intraocular tuberculosis (TB) infection can have different clinical manifestations including retinal vasculitis. It more frequently involves the veins and is associated with neovascularisation. The diagnosis may be difficult and presumptive being based on clinical findings and evidence of systemic TB infection. We present a case of a 32-year-old man with a 2 months history of progressive decreased visual acuity and blurred vision in the left eye. His best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 2/10, Fundoscopic examination showed vascular sheathing, neovascularisation and capillary non-perfusion on the left eye, suggestive of retinal vasculitis. Fluorescein angiography revelated focal diffuse staining and late leakage from the retinal vasculature, mainly from the veins corresponding to neovascularisation.Tuberculin skin test and Interferon gamma release assay (IGRA-QuantiFERON-TB Gold) were positive and antituberculosis treatment (ATT) was started. His left eye final BCVA was 9/10, without recurrences over a follow-up of 12 months.
