Abstract Vivekananda played a key role in the rise of Indian nationalism in the nineteenth and late twentieth centuries, encouraging many successes in the West with his success and appeal. His example helped to create pride in the cultural and religious heritage of India and to stand up against the British colonial system. He took part in a large movement against the British. Swami Vivekananda believed that India was a blessed land of virtue, a "land of virtue" where humanity had attained the highest generosity, towards purity, towards peace, above all a land of self-realization and spirituality.

The study was conducted in purposively selected araziline block of Varanasi district of Utter Pradesh covering 6 villages and 120 respondents. The data were collected through personal interview method by the researcher himself with the help of pre- structured schedule specially. The analysis was reported based on the opinion survey of the cabbage growers. Thus, the generalizations of the results are the feedback through farmers engaged in cabbage production in the study area. The table revealed most of the respondents (50.00%) had medium level of knowledge followed by (33.16%) had low level of knowledge and (16.66%) had high level of knowledge. Most of the respondents (47.50%) had medium adoption followed by (29.16%) had low adoption and (18.33%) had high adoption level.

Delusion is a very intriguing topic in psychiatry. Its origin is a mystery. Many research studies have been done but it still is not completely understandable. This article is an effort for providing comprehensive review on the origin of delusion. Many relevant research studies have been reviewed and it has been concluded that an inclusive approach would bring us closer to a better understanding of the origin of delusions.

Abstract The present study is carried out in order to analyze the existing Masters Degree curriculum of Foundation of Education (ED 511). Descriptive survey design has been used in present study. 10 teachers of different college of Tribhuvan University and 20 post-graduation (M ED) students who studying at Sanothimi campus were selected as samples using purposive sampling methods. Results reveals that sufficient indigenous knowledge related contents are not instrumented in the existing curriculum of ED 511. Similarly, the results of the present study reveals that although the major general and specific objectives, contents, pedagogical activities and assessment procedures are satisfactory, sufficient indigenous knowledge friendly objectives and contents are not incorporated in the ED 511 curriculum. Only one topic related to indigenous knowledge is instrumented in the curriculum. Accordingly, general, specific objectives and assessment procedures cover some indigenous knowledge friendly contents. These provisions are not sufficient form the perspectives of indigenous knowledge. Similarly, indigenous knowledge that exists in society has historically been ignored and neglected. So, a majority of the respondents agreed that there is sufficient room for indigenous knowledge in the existing curriculum that could be incorporated in the Foundation of Education curriculum (ED 511). In this context, explicit and tacit indigenous knowledge could be instrumented in the existing ED. 511 curriculum easily. Accordingly, specific pedagogical practices and assessment procedure should be added for the effective implementation of these contents. Thus, it can be concluded that existing syllabus of ED 511 should be improved as per the norms of the changed need of the society and indigenous knowledge perspectives.

Mobile application development of mobile applications is a fast growing as well as challenging field because of many diverse platforms and their software development kits. In a bid to ease the cost of software development and reach out to many users across several platforms, developers are preferring to use cross platform application development tools. This paper, looks at several write-once-run-anywhere tools like HTML 5, Codename One, Xamarian and Apache Cordova. It looks at their requirements, strengths and weaknesses. A comparative analysis is done on the available cross platform mobile application tools on the market together with a discussion on the general architecture for cross platform application development. This paper also looks at the possible future of mobile application development.

The study examined the slot and the complex resolution hypothesis relating to visual short-term memory. Thirty college students participated in the study. They performed typing thirty animal names in four conditions. In Blind Condition, stickers covered all the alphabets on the key board. In Control Condition, participants performed normal typing. In the Minimal Change Condition, places of two alphabets were interchanged to increase the complexity of resolution. In Maximal Change Condition, places of four alphabets were interchanged to further increase the complexity of resolution. The error rate in the Blind Condition was 92.81%, which pointed out that performance on the key board is a function of visual short-term memory rather than habit. The error rate in the Control Condition was only 0.46% to point out that participants could simultaneously attend to 26 alphabets in the visual field without regard to any slot. In the Minimal Change Condition, the error rate was much higher than the Control Condition, which supported the complex resolution hypothesis that increased complexity of the visual field reduces the performance in visual short-term memory. Further, a spread of effect is observed in the performance as the error rate not only increased in the changed part but also in the unchanged part. In the Maximal Change Condition, the error rate was very high to suggest that increased complexity of the visual field causes tangential increase in the error rate. The findings of the study disproved the slot hypothesis and proved the complex resolution hypothesis.

ABSTRACT The welfare economists have been confronted with the controversies of interpersonal comparisons or of value judgments for a long period of time. Following Pareto most of the conventional theory of welfare economics rested on the assumed value judgment that if one person was better off and no one was worse off welfare was increased. But without the knowledge of utility or welfare function none can be sure that satisfying those conditions is better than violating them. Moreover Paretian value judgment did not apply to a situation where some persons were benefited and some were harmed by some policy change. . Professor Amartya Kumar Sen in his article Interpersonal Aggregation and Partial Comparability, Econometrica 38, May1970, has made an attempt to provide a fairly rigorous presentation of a possible framework of interpersonal comparability. In this paper I have found out how far Prof. Sens partial comparability analysis suits our practical problem of evaluation of alternative social states in respect of social welfare. At the same time I have tried to point out unexplored part of the problems of measurement of social welfare and comparability. In course of my exploration I have kept it in my mind that both welfare and non-welfare information constitute the appropriate basis of social welfare evaluation.
