 Abstract

Drug abuse occurs in all sports and at most levels of competition. Athletic life may lead to drug abuse for a number of reasons, including for performance enhancement, to self-treat otherwise untreated mental illness, and to deal with stressors, such as pressure to perform, injuries, physical pain, and retirement from sport. This review examines the history of doping in athletes, the effects of different classes of substances used for doping, detection of drug use and treatment of affected athletes. Doping goes back to ancient times, prior to the development of organized sports. Performance-enhancing drugs have continued to evolve, with advances in doping strategies driven by improved drug testing detection methods and advances in scientific research that can lead to the discovery and use of substances that may later be banned. Many sports organizations have come to ban the use of performance-enhancing drugs and have very strict consequences for people caught using them. There is variable evidence for the performance-enhancing effects and side effects of the various substances that are used for doping. Drug abuse in athletes should be addressed with preventive measures, education, motivational interviewing, and, when indicated, pharmacologic interventions.

 Abstract

In the last decade, Deep learning (DL) has emerged as the solution to problems that are easy for a human to understand but very difficult to put in a way so that computers can solve it. Image recognition is one example of such a problem. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) emerge as the best solution to image recognition problems. CNN consists of several convolutional layers and pooling layers. Over the years, many people have experimented with CNN models to use them for audio classification and results have been encouraging. In this paper, we have reviewed such attempts and try to analyze them.

 Abstract

The present study has been conducted on Modernization among primary and High school Teachers belonging to Tribal Community in relation to their designation and teaching experience. The sample for the investigation was drawn from the primary and High school teacher belonging to tribal community, by using simple random sampling technique. It comprises 310 school teachers. Standardized tool was used in the present study, The Comprehensive Modernization Inventory (CMI) developed by Ahluwalia S.P. and Kalia A.K.(1998).The study also revealed that There is no significant difference among primary and High school teachers belonging to tribal community in respect of their modernization due to variation in their Designation. Hence the null hypothesis is accepted. The study also revealed that there is no significant difference among primary and High school teachers belonging to tribal community in respect of their modernization due to variation in their experience hence, the null hypothesis is rejected.

 Abstract

The objective of this paper is to empirically investigate the role of social media in the decisionmaking process of consumers for complex purchases, which are characterised by significant brand differences, high consumer involvement and risk, and are costly and uncommon. The gradual developments in technology indicates that s-commerce will become the marketing mainstream, and a literature survey shows that there have not been many studies in this field. Findings demonstrate that in the stages of data search and alternative evaluation, the use of social media influences consumer satisfaction, with satisfaction being magnified as the consumer moves along the process towards the final purchase decision and post-purchase assessment. In the last few years, the enhanced acknowledgement of social media has given rise to social commerce (s-commerce) and the use of s-commerce is increasing gradually. Studies indicated that social media use significant influence on customer satisfaction throughout the levels of knowledge quest and alternative assessment, with engagement concrete performance as the customer progresses through the path towards the final purchasing decision and post-purchase evaluation.

 Abstract

The term political business cycle is used to describe the stimulation of economy just before an election in order to improve the prospect of incumbent government getting re-elected. Various studies in the political economy have covered this interesting interaction of tactical redistribution, political business cycles and voting behavior. In this study we have observed the strategic response of Bihar Government to the exogenous shock of Covid-19 keeping in mind the upcoming assembly elections in the state. We have observed that how election in state of Bihar pushed the performance of the health institutions of the state despite lagging behind in per capita health infrastructure as compared to other states. In our findings we have observed that Bihar has outperformed in managing COVID-19 pandemic compared to other states when measured by the size of economy, recent election in states, Population, Area and better Health infrastructure in terms of number of beds and doctor's availability.

 Abstract

PROBLEM STATEMENT: Assessment of the effectiveness of video assisted teaching versus demonstration on a penis model regarding knowledge of condom usage among people living with HIV in a selected hospital. OBJECTIVES: To assess the pre-test and post-test knowledge scores of video assisted teaching of condom usage among PLHIV. To assess the pre-test and post-test knowledge scores of demonstration on the model of penis of condom usage among PLHIV. To compare the post-test knowledge scores of video assisted teaching and demonstration on the model of penis of condom usage among PLHIV. RATIONALE Despite the fact that the government has implemented different programs to educate people regarding HIV/AIDS and different preventive methods, infection rate remains high. One of the key methods of prevention is the use of condoms during all types of sexual intercourse. The most frequent mode of transmission is through sexual route if condoms are not used. The priority of controlling HIV infection is its prevention and transmission of the virus from an infected person to the other. To have safe sex condoms can be used to reduce the risk of sexual exposure to HIV and sexually transmitted infections when used consistently and correctly. There is a need for the People living with HIV to have knowledge, a positive attitude towards its use as well as know the skill of condom use in order to prevent infections and hence decrease the progression of the disease. METHOD A quantitative evaluative approach with quasi experimental two group pretest posttest design was used with non-probability convenient sampling to select the sample (N=160). A structured questionnaire (Five Point Likert scale) was used to assess the knowledge .Video assisted teaching and Demonstration on the model of penis was administered to find its effectiveness. The collected data was analyzed by using descriptive & inferential statistics. RESULTS The pretest knowledge score of subjects who were in group one (Video assisted teaching) was (3.590.30) and group two (Demonstration) was (3.570.33). The posttest knowledge score of subjects who were in group one (Video assisted teaching) (4.110.42) and group two (Demonstration) was (4.81 0.24). The F ratio value is (3, 156) =55.6 and a p value of <0.00. The result is significant at p<0.005. The estimation of 0.505 indicated that the condition accounts for 50% of the total variance in the post test scores in the population. INTERPRETATION AND CONCLUSION The findings of the study showed that there was a deficit in knowledge of PLHIV before administration of Video assisted teaching and Demonstration on the model of penis regarding condom usage. The results indicated that the Video assisted teaching and Demonstration is effective in increasing the knowledge of PLHIV regarding condom usage but when the two groups were compared to each other there was a significant increase in the knowledge scores of PLHIV who use the demonstration on the penis model as learning modality compared to those who use video assisted teaching of condom usage.

 Abstract

This project was primarily aimed to create an automated system for classification model for music genres. The included steps finding good features that define genre boundaries clearly. There are total of five features, namely MFCC vector, spectral rolloff, spectral centroid, chroma frequencies, zero-crossing rate were used for obtaining features for the classifiers from the GTZAN dataset of genre. Many different classifiers were trained and used to classify, each yielding varying degrees of accuracy in prediction.

 Abstract

Abstract In the transportation sector, electric mobility became a trend problem as ever. The use of electric vehicles is an essential component of electric mobility. Electric vehicle (EV) is a vehicle type that uses mostly an electric motor that core services from a charged power storage unit. By plugging in the grid or maintaining it in batteries EV receives electricity. EV Charger is an electrical device that transforms alternating current energy into a controlled direct current for overfilled energy for the energy storage system (i.e. battery). The battery is the foundation of an EV energy storage system. There is also a very significant role for the battery charger in EV technology. Battery charge chargers of EV are split into two distinct types: on-board in EV and off-board (in a set location). The paper explains charging technology, standards, charging levels, or modes of charging for commercial vehicles. For commercial EV manufacturers, all concerns about chargers are raised. Consequently, this paper can easily see the broad picture of the electric charging system.
