 Abstract

Medical image processing is the most challenging and emerging field today. This paper describes the methodology of detection & extraction of brain tumor from patients MRI scan images of the brain. In this paper, a method for segmentation of brain tumor has been developed on 2D-MRI data which allows the identification of tumor tissue with high accuracy and reproducibility compared to manual techniques. This method incorporates with some noise removal functions, segmentation and morphological operations which are the basic concepts of image processing. Detection and extraction of tumor from MRI scan images of the brain is done by using MATLAB software. The aim of this work is to design an automated tool for brain tumor quantification using MRI image data sets.

 Abstract

Clustering of information with high dimensions and variable densities makes an uncommon challenge to the conventional density-based clustering strategies. As of late, entropy, a numerical measure of the instability of data, can utilized to compute the border degree of samples in information and select significant highlights within the highlight set. The proposed model focuses on handling the issue of client grouping within the setting of their distributed content streams. It was utilized in this system depend on sparsity-density entropy. to cluster the information with high measurements and variable densities. To begin with, sparsity density entropy (SDE) directs a high-quality inspecting for multidimensional information and chooses the significant highlights utilizing sparsity score entropy. Then DE comes into picture the DE successively decides the border set depend on the global minimum of border degrees. The performance and exactness of proposed model are validated on data sets and comparing with different clustering algorithms. The outcomes demonstrated that proposed method can detected the noises and prepared the data with high dimension and various densities

 Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of tiny sensor nodes that are able to sense data from vicinity and send this data to the sink or Base Station (BS). The main issue during data collection is the non-rechargeable energy resource or battery. So the data collection should be energy efficient for long use of WSN. As we know that clustering is one of the most efficient technique for saving energy in WSN. Purpose of the paper is to find out multi-factor based clustering process having four conflicting factors: a) delay based on remaining energy, maximum power transmission etc., b) average lifetime of normal sensor nodes, c) lifetime of CHs, and d) maximum power consumption by any normal node. The algorithm is developed with an economical approach for finding CHs using a fitness function. Optimal path is also found utilizing the JdJ0 distance. Results are far better than the traditional algorithms.

 Abstract

Abstract This research work titled Assessment of the Social Media Policy at the Daily Trust newspaper was done to evaluate how effective the policy has being in regulating the social media activities of journalists in Daily Trust newspaper. The survey research method was applied with a census survey of one hundred and five (105) journalists as the respondents by using the Questionnaire. Further applying the Interview Schedule research instrument, five (5) respondents from the human resources department of the media house were interviewed. Findings revealed that the highest enforcement level of the social media policy by the media organisation is by reminding the journalists about the policy but none of the respondents have ever been sanctioned over violations as they claimed to comply with the policy. With the introduction of the policy, a significant number of the respondents reduced their use of the social media platforms, signifying some level of apathy. Some threats to the implementation of the policy were identified and among these are, the possibility for circumventing the policy aims by using proxy social media accounts to cover defaults. The study recommends that, there should be a review of the policy implementation framework to address poor implementation. The organisation must apply real sanctions such as surcharge and suspension instead of mere reminders in the implementation. The media outlet should also include violations on WhatsApp and other messenger applications in the policy.

 Abstract

India lives in its villages and the founding fathers deemed it imperative to enable financial inclusion for the rural population. Therefore, Finance is the life blood of this agrarian economy. Realizing the fleeing of rural masses, government of India took several initiatives to promote the growth of rural and agriculture sector. Amongst these initiatives, major was the establishment of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). Over the years, RRBs have proved to be the most active agencies in the process of strengthening rural economy by purveying credit and mobilizing deposits from rural areas through their vast network even in the remotest areas of the country. The present study attempts to empirically examine the growing position of regional rural banks during the period spanning from 2010 TO 2020 by using various statistical techniques. The aforementioned conclusions portray that over the period from 2010 to 2020, regional rural banks have experienced reduction in the number of banks, increasing amount of loans and deposits and a very meagre change in number of branches and that is only in 2020.

 Abstract

Gossypiboma possesses a serious problem for the patient as it is life-threatening and leads to medico-legal problems. Gossypiboma should be diagnosed as early as possible to give better treatment and thus decrease the mortality rate. Diagnosing of retained surgical bodies is done by radiological studies that include CT scanning, MRI scanning, ultrasonography, plain radiography and radio frequency identification chips. Patients undergoing cardiac surgery usually have a high risk of sternal wound infection which is caused by microorganisms. Preoperative antibiotic prophylaxis is administered to the patients before cardiac surgery to reduce or eliminate the sternal wound infection. Preoperative antibiotic prophylaxis reduces the risk of postoperative infections. Use of gentamicin impregnated sponge along with preoperative antibiotic prophylaxis is more effective in case of cardiac surgery. This paper mainly focuses on the microorganisms that cause infection through the retained surgical sponge, clinical manifestations of gossypiboma, diagnosis of gossypiboma and its preventive measures.

 Abstract

A Gram (+) bacterium Lactobacillus species MTCC 10093 produce during their growth, substances of protein structure (either proteins or polypeptides) owning antimicrobial activities, called bacteriocins. Although bacteriocins could be considered as antibiotics, they are not. The major difference between bacteriocins and antibiotics is that bacteriocins curb their activity to strains of species related to the producing species and particularly to strains of the same species, antibiotics on the other hand have a wider activity spectrum and even if their activity is restricted this does not show any preferential effect on closely related strains. In addition, bacteriocins are ribosomally synthesized and produced during the primary phase of growth, though antibiotics are usually secondary metabolites. Among the Gram (+) bacteria, lactic acid bacteria (LAB) especially, Lactobacilli have gained particular attention nowadays, due to the production of bacteriocins. These substances can be applied in the food industry as natural preservatives. The use of LAB and of their metabolic products is generally considered as safe (GRAS, Grade One). The application of the produced antimicrobial compounds as a natural barrier against pathogens and food spoilage caused by bacterial agents has been proven to be efficient. Nisin is the only bacteriocin that has been officially employed in the food industry and its use has been approved worldwide. Bacteriocins can be applied on a purified or on a crude form or through the use of a product previously fermented with a bacteriocin producing strain as an ingredient in food processing or incorporated through a bacteriocin producing strain (starter culture).

 Abstract

According to the Holy Quran, mans spirit has a meta-historical essence and it has been conceived by the Quran as the Divine breath enshrined within the material existence of man. Spirit being the divine element within the man, is capable of experiencing and interiorizing the divine noumenon within the entire cosmic phenomena including mans own being. This insight into the divine signs both inward and outward is a clear example of the Quranic tendency towards interiorizing the mystical experiences within the recesses of mans inner self. Quranic concept of spirituality does not believe in the hyper-mystical tendencies like the ones expounded in neo-platonic or non-Semitic traditions, but it takes lead even from the material world and sees each and every cosmic phenomenon as a definitive sign of Divine creative wisdom and thus urges man to pass on from material towards the spiritual. By recognizing the divine creative principle in the outer cosmos and within mans inner self, mans predilections are directed by the Quran towards the realization of the absolute Divine truth-the truth which can neither be analyzed nor synthesized but experienced at a deeper intuitive level. The current study will try to see that how Quran wants a believer to gather the signs of Divine creative wisdom both within his own spirit and within the extended cosmos, and how it blends both the streams of exoteric and esoteric experiences towards a deeper realization of the absolute Divine truth, that there is no god but God. It will also be tryst towards showcasing the fact that religion is not a merely a mode of denominational learning or a mere intellectual discourse, but it has to be lived by man and realized by the dint of entire being and existence.
