 Abstract

Retailing has become such an intrinsic part of our everyday lives that it is often taken for granted. The nations that have enjoyed the greatest economic and social progress have been those with a strong retail sector. Why has retailing become such a popular method of conducting business? The answer lies in the benefits a vibrant retailing sector has to offer-an easier access to a variety of products, freedom of choice, and higher levels of customer service. As we all know, the ease of entry into retail business results in fierce competition and better value for customer. To enter retailing is easy and to fail is even easier. Therefore, in order to survive in retailing, a firm must do a satisfactory job in its primary role, i.e., catering to customers. Retailers' cost and profit vary depending on their type of operation and major product line. Retail stores of different sizes face distinct challenges and their sales volume influences business opportunities, merchandise purchase policies, nature of promotion, and expense control measures. Over the last decade there have been sweeping changes in the general retailing business. Shopping, that was only meant to be through physical stores just some years ago, has an altogether new face with the advent of ecommerce - the world of online shopping. In fact, the trends in the ecommerce industry play a pivotal role in changing the fate of the entire retail business. Ecommerce has a great impact on the retail industry influencing the latter to offer an equally engaging shopping experience. The best e-commerce trends have slipped into the retail world and most of the retail shops either have or will have an online presence soon. Retailers are adopting new technologies that enable potential customers to access the listed products anytime, anywhere. This helps to bring in more customers to the website and generate sales. Flipping through a catalogue, picking the right colour, size, and type of clothing a person wanted to purchase and then waiting to have it sewn and shipped was the standard practice in the earlier days. By the turn of the century some retailers set up online stores where people could browse, while new pieces were being sewn or customized. Almost all online retail business has undergone a similar transition over the years.

 Abstract

In order to find the network topology that minimises system power loss, reduces node voltage deviation, and improves load balancing among feeders while maintaining branch current within designed limits, the electrical distribution network must be reconfigured using a complex combinatorial optimization process. In order to address network reconfiguration issues, this research provides an artificial neural network (ANN)-based methodology. The fuzzy-based and genetic algorithm (GA)-based optimization approaches are used to build the training set for ANN. The 33 bus test system is subjected to the proposed ANN technique. According to test results, the suggested ANN model enables quick and precise network design under various load scenarios.

 Abstract

OFDM is really a multicarrier transmission which has been widely applied in wireless communication systems due to its high bandwidth efficiency, its simple implementation and robustness over frequency selective channel. In this context, this paper aims to explain joint iterative channel estimation with symbol detection for coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing. In this paper, the style of a second order Kalman filtering technique for fast fading channels based on pilot symbol aided modulation (PSAM) was created. Nevertheless, as the fading percentage increases, extra pilot symbols have to obtain completely correct channel estimates for reliable data detection. This decreases the complete data rate during fast fading to unacceptable levels for many applications. The suggested algorithm's performance is tested in a simulated wireless OFDM system sent across a radio channel based on our research and discussions. In order to enhance the overall performance of PSAM, it's essential to exploit iterative channel estimation as well as symbol detection strategy.

 Abstract

Earth is a living, breathing planet that changes on a regular basis. Weather patterns and events play a significant role in this development. While these patterns and occurrences are required for our planet to remain habitable, they may also wreak significant damage and cost billions of dollars in repair and rescue attempts. Weather phenomena are natural events caused by one or more of the following: the water cycle, pressure systems, and the Coriolis effect. Precipitation, wind, and heat are frequently involved or related to them. The main aim of this study is tracking and analysing the variations in the weather phenomena by utilizing tree-based diffusion-based processor reallocation strategy. We devised ways for efficiently partitioning and repartitioning the nests among the processors in this paper. We look at an application of tracking numerous ordered cloud clusters in tropical weather systems as a case study. To discover such clouds, we first present a parallel data analysis approach. We created a tree-based hierarchical diffusion method that reallocates processors for the nests at a lower cost of redistribution. We do this via a novel tree restructuring method. We demonstrate that our approach has a lower redistribution cost and 53 percent fewer hop-bytes than a processor reallocation solution that ignores existing processor allocation.Fortran90 programming language have been used for implementation of algorithm.

The temple occupied a place of vital importance in the history of South India. It constituted a powerful social and economic entity.
