A microstrip patch antenna is a flat, rectangular piece of metal placed on a dielectric substrate, with a larger metal sheet known as the ground plane beneath it. To ensure impedance matching between the patch and the microstrip line, a notch, referred to as an "inset," is strategically incorporated in the patch design. This project focuses on the design and simulation of a microstrip patch antenna for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) applications, specifically targeting a resonating frequency of 2.4 GHz. The antenna employs direct contact feeding through a microstrip line on an FR-4 Epoxy substrate with a dielectric constant (?r) of 4.4 and a substrate height of 1.6mm. To match impedance, an inset is introduced in the patch, and Ansys High-Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS) software is used for design and analysis of antenna and its parameters. These include reflection coefficient, gain, VSWR, and bandwidth. Fabrication is commonly carried out using the photolithographic technique commonly used in PCB design. Actual fabrication of the antenna is not a part of is study. However, a simple walkthrough into the steps involved in antenna design are highlight.

: The development of solar photovoltaic (PV) technology has made it one of the most important sources of renewable energy in the world, necessitating the use of sophisticated modeling and parameter estimate approaches. With the Single Diode Model and Newton's Raphson method, this work presents a novel method for the precise determination of electrical properties of solar PV modules. The Single Diode Model is well known for accurately describing the electrical behavior of solar PV modules in a straightforward manner. However, getting accurate parameter values is crucial for producing energy efficiently since it makes it possible to monitor the system, find faults, and do preventative maintenance. In this study, we suggest a reliable and effective approach for predicting crucial parameters, such as the ideality factor (n), reverse saturation current (Io), series resistance (Rs), and shunt resistance (Rsh), which have a substantial impact on the performance of solar PV modules. Due to its quick convergence and capacity to generate extremely precise parameter estimates, Newton's Raphson method is chosen as the iterative numerical methodology. Our created computational program uses current-voltage (I-V) curves, temperature, and irradiation parameters from the specific solar PV module under investigation as input data. Extensive simulations and actual experiments on a variety of solar PV modules are used to confirm the effectiveness of the suggested approach. The results show that it is robust in parameter estimation even in the face of data noise, changes in the environment, and ageing of the module. Precise parameter estimate is essential for improving the overall effectiveness, dependability, and longevity of solar PV installations as well as for monitoring system performance in real-time and identifying and resolving any problems. In conclusion, this research makes a substantial contribution to the development of parameter estimate methods for solar PV modelling, providing a useful tool for the renewable energy sector. The proposed methodology, which combines the Single Diode Model and Newton's Raphson method, offers a workable strategy for increasing energy production, making sure solar PV systems are dependable and sustainable, and maximising return on investment. This study has the potential to advance solar energy technology and strengthen its position as a major player in the switch to sustainable and clean energy sources.

This project focuses on the design and implementation of a Modular Multilevel Inverter (MMI) tailored for a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drive system. The chosen MMI topology is the Cascaded H-Bridge (CHB) MMI, which offers distinct advantages over traditional inverters, including enhanced voltage quality, reduced harmonic distortion, and increased reliability. The proposed design adopts a 7-level modular structure comprising multiple identical sub-modules connected in series, each housing a set of power semiconductor devices (i.e.) IGBTs. This modular approach facilitates scalability and simplifies maintenance. To ensure precise control over the output voltage and current waveforms, the project employs a sophisticated control strategy. This strategy incorporates carrier-based Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) techniques, encompassing sinusoidal PWM and Space Vector Modulation (SVM). These control methods play a pivotal role in regulating the motor drive system's performance. In essence, this project combines advanced inverter technology with precise control mechanisms to enhance the efficiency and reliability of PMSM drive systems, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

Health monitoring is the continuous measurement of the loading environment and the critical responses of a system or its components. Health monitoring is typically used to track and evaluate performance, symptoms of operational incidents, anomalies due to deterioration and damage as well as health during and after an extreme event (Aktan et al, 2000). Health monitoring has gained considerable attention in civil engineering over the last two decades. Although health monitoring is a maturing concept in the manufacturing, automotive and aerospace industries, there are a number of challenges for effective applications on civil infrastructure systems. While successful real-life studies on a new or an existing structure are critical for transforming health monitoring from research to practice, laboratory benchmark studies are also essential for addressing issues related to the main needs and challenges of structural health monitoring. Health monitoring offers great promise for civil infrastructure implementations. Although it is still mainly a research area in civil infrastructure application, it would be possible to develop successful real-life health monitoring systems if all components of a complete health monitoring design are recognized and integrated.

ABSTRACT Objectives: Radiotherapy has side effects on the health by affecting body systems and also by increasing susceptiblity to some diseases. Glutamate pyruvate transaminase activity increases in the kidney of irradiated mice after irradiation. Opuntia elatior, an edible herb,is tested in this study for its ameliorating effects on radiation induced alterations in mice kidney GPT activity. Methods: Effect of O. elatior stem extract (OEE) was observed on the GPT activity in kidney of Swiss albino mice irradiated to a dose of 6 Gy of gamma radiation, 10 mg/kg body weight dose of OEE and both the treatments to record Glutamate puruvate transaminase (GPT) activity alterations in mouse kidney. The animals were scarified at days 1,3,5,10, 15, and 30 post-irradiation . Glutamate pyruvate transaminase activity was measured quantitatively by the altered method of Henery et al., 1974. Results: The GPT activity was normal in the mice without any treatment and increased in the irradiated group, lowered in only plant extract-treated group found increase in GPT activity after irradiation was decreased OEE pretreatment in the in OEE with irradiated group, normal GPT activity was achieved till day 30 after-treatment. Therefore, O. elatior controlled radiation-induced alterations in GPT activity. Conclusion: OEE reduced the radiation induced toxicity.Products of plant origin usually do not cause their ill effects on body's physiological processes; OEE is found useful in managing GPT activity. As OEE is as edible plant, is easy to use as cure and it also found to regulate Glutamate pyruvate transaminase activity in kidneys of mice.
