All over the world, urban areas are passing through a process of speedy growth and expansion, not by increase in fertility or migration, but by land acquisition and merger of villages in their fringe. While greater space is required for the metropolitan cities to accommodate several industrial/technological, service, manufacturing, and commercial sectors, the fact that agricultural lands are acquired by law to enable the same is leading to a complex sociological process of rehabilitation and resettlement of the displaced people. The present paper is based on sociological research carried out in Mysuru City, highlighting several constraints and challenges faced by both the landowners and landless wage earners in the selected urban fringe villages of Mysuru City. Inadequacy of, delays, and absence of transparency in the procedure and absolute lack of participation by the local organization, the Grama Panchayat in the whole process of land grab and compensation, have pointed towards the need for a thorough revision in Rehabilitation and Resettlement Laws and Implementation from a people's perspective in development.

The purpose of the present was to investigate the effects of aquatic plyometric training on measures of physical performance among college students. For the study, a total of 20 male college students were randomly selected of age between 18 to 25 years. The selected subjects were equally randomized into two groups - Experimental Group and Control Group. The experimental group performed six weeks of aquatic plyometric training twice a week while control group was not involved in any sort of training. All the subjects were tested twice i.e. before and after the training for three variables - vertical jump using wall test, agility using modified agility t test, and 30-m speed. For statistical analysis, paired t-test was used to compare the pre and post-test values at 0.05 level of significance. The findings showed that aquatic plyometric training had significant effect on vertical jump, agility, and speed in experimental group as their performance improved after six weeks of aquatic plyometric training.

The way youth consume media has changed drastically with the onset of digitization in the country. The Indian youth now have unprecedented access to various global platforms with the proliferation of streaming platforms - Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar - and high-speed internet. In India where traditional media continue to have cultural significance, young Indians are increasingly turning to various digital media channels for the convenience and freedom of choice these platforms offer. They can consume media on their phones, laptops, and tablets, anytime, anywhere at their convenience. Youth currently interact with one or more media platforms, primarily daily. It helps the students improve their decision-making abilities, solve issues, and develop their attitudes, beliefs, and skills. This study examines the media literacy behaviors of higher education students at universities in Haryana. By understanding how students navigate and interact with different media platforms, the research aims to uncover patterns of media consumption. This would help to learn the impact on their academic, and personal lives, and the development of critical thinking skills. The findings underscore the importance of integrating media literacy into the educational curriculum. By incorporating media literacy into pedagogy, educators can better equip students with the skills needed to critically

In the present dynamic world Total Quality Management (TQM) has become one of the most indispensable structures for strengthening the service quality of various sectors including libraries. In this age of information technology, there has been changes in libraries regarding dissemination of quality information and giving importance to user satisfaction as well. There is a strong requirement for assessing the quality of libraries. For effective implementation of quality management in libraries there is a need to understand the application of appropriate quality management concepts and techniques. This paper explores an overview of the implementation of TQM in libraries, showing the benefits and challenges faced in implementing this in libraries. The study also discusses the concept, definitions and principles of TQM.

The endocannabinoid system is a complex cell-signalling system that plays a role in regulating internal activities such as sleep, emotions, pain, reproduction, immunity, appetite, GI function, and metabolism. Endocannabinoids (Anandamide, 2AG) bind to CB1 and CB2 receptors in the gut and regulate motility and inflammation. Endocannabinoid deficiency or dysregulation of the ECS might lead to chronic GI disorders. Grahani roga is one such ailment described in our classics in which the digestive system is altered. Vijaya (Cannabis sativa) is one such therapeutic herb that includes phytocannabinoids (CBD, THC) that operate similarly to endocannabinoids. The processed Vijaya is used as a single ingredient and as a component in various ayurvedic formulations in the treatment of Grahani roga. As a result, the current paper is an attempt to appreciate the role of Vijaya and its therapeutic applications in Grahani.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into medical imaging has transformed diagnostic procedures, enabling enhanced accuracy, efficiency, and predictive capabilities. This study evaluates the current applications of AI in medical imaging, focusing on its role in image analysis, disease detection, and workflow optimization. Key advancements in deep learning algorithms, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and generative adversarial networks (GANs), have led to significant improvements in detecting abnormalities, segmenting images, and predicting patient outcomes. Despite its benefits, the adoption of AI in medical imaging presents challenges, including data privacy concerns, interpretability of AI models, and integration into clinical workflows. This paper highlights the potential of AI to revolutionize medical imaging while addressing the ethical and regulatory considerations required to ensure safe and effective implementation. Our findings support AI's ability to complement radiologists and enhance patient care quality, emphasizing the need for continuous innovation and collaboration in this evolving field.

This review outlines a plan for the methodical advancement of HPLC. One of the most powerful analytical chemistry technologies now in use is high performance liquid chromatography. Any liquid-soluble material can have its constituents separated, identified, and quantified by it. A number of chromatographic parameters, including as sample pretreatment, mobile phase selection, column selection, and detector selection, were examined in order to optimize the procedure. This article aims to discuss the process of developing, optimizing, and validating methods. The development of the HPLC method is influenced by the molecules' chemical structure, the synthetic pathway, solubility, polarity, pH and pKa values, and the activity of the functional groups, among other factors. The purpose of this essay was to review the development and validation of HPLC methods.

The conceptual study explores the livelihood and socio-economic challenges of fishermen in North Malabar, a region deeply reliant on fishing for economic survival. The study aims to identify the key socio-economic issues, assess the impact of environmental changes and regulatory policies, and propose strategies to enhance community resilience and sustainability. Through a comprehensive literature review and policy analysis, the study uncovers significant challenges, including economic instability due to fluctuating fish stocks, inadequate infrastructure, and limited access to financial resources and markets. Environmental factors like climate change and coastal degradation further threaten the sustainability of fishing practices. The study also highlights the socio-economic marginalization of fishermen, who often lack access to education, healthcare, and alternative livelihoods. The findings suggest that the targeted interventions, such as improved regulatory policies, enhanced access to financial and technical resources, and community-based initiatives, are essential for sustainable development. This analysis lays the groundwork for future empirical research and policy formulation, advocating for holistic and inclusive approaches to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of fishing communities in North Malabar.

Food creation within the country, food imports, and food stored in government warehouses from previous years are all implied by the availability of food. Eating requires having sufficient material and financial resources to establish a healthy eating pattern. Usage of food implies proper utilize in view of the information on fundamental nourishment which is essential for our wellbeing. Any modification to the environment brought about by a human movement or a natural variation over time is referred to as environmental change. Three factors are taken into consideration while providing an overview of how climate change is affecting food security in India: availability, access, and absorption. It concludes that maintaining food security in the face of climate change will be extremely difficult and suggests, among other things, that sustainable agricultural methods be adopted, that public health and urban food security be given more attention, that livelihood security be provided, and that long-term relief measures be put in place in case of natural disasters. This study provides an outline of three key topics: (a) how climate change is affecting India's agricultural output; (b) how these changes in productivity will affect food security; and (c) how nutritional availability is rated in the Indian context. The policy measures adopted by the Indian government to protect the population's food security are also a major topic of discussion in this study. We will talk about in this essay. Security of food and nutrition in the context of climate change.
