African women are one of the most basis of race, class and gender, the untold miseries of such women in the colonial context as well as in the independent Kenya, find voice in the novels of the famous Kenyan writer, Ngugi Wa Thiong�o. All major woman characters in Ngugi�s novels, without exception are sufferers and spite of victims of exploitation either directly or indirectly, in spite of being attractive and independent . Ngugi�s novels, development in the portrayal of these women . The silent victims of his later novels become even nation builders.

 Abstract

For the present investigation of Synthesis of hemicyanine dyes, ethyl iodide of five benzothiazole salts and ten suitable complex ketones have been chosen and synthesised in quantitative yield. The use of above mentioned ketones, not only provide a means of weighining the dye molecule but also furnishes a means to study the role of steric and electronic effect of substitutions in the prime chromophoric methane chain. Keeping in view the multidimentional applications of cyanine and hemicyanine dyes, it was through to synthesise some new hemicyanine dyes by condensing some suitable auxochromic chalcones and benzophenons with quarternised benzothiazolium salts in presence of suitable basic catalyst and study their optical characteristics i.e. U. V. absorption.

 Abstract

This study deals with the investigation of the life skills among Prospective Teachers. The study aims to investigate the 10 life skills these are decision making, empathy, interpersonal relationship, coping with emotions, critical thinking, creative thinking, self -awareness, effective communication, coping with stress, problem solving. For this purpose a descriptive survey model Scale developed by researcher. The scale consists of 70 items. These items are divided into 10 components. The factors are mixed randomly. Researcher takes a random sample of 50 prospective teachers from Guntur District. (Andhra Pradesh). This study limited to the Guntur district only. The data was evaluated by Statistical software using to calculate t-test, Standard Deviation and Mean tests. The final result revealed that the 66 % of the prospective teachers have average level of Life Skills, 18% of the prospective teachers have low level of Life Skills. Only 16 % of the prospective teachers have high level of Life Skills. Variables like gender, area didn't play any significant role their Life Skills.

 Abstract

Pervious concrete is a very special type of concrete with high porosity made using large aggregates with little to no fine aggregates. It allows water from precipitation and other sources to pass directly through thereby reducing the runoff from the site and allowing ground water recharge. The study proposes the replacement of natural coarse aggregates in the mixture, with recycled coarse aggregates. The utilization of recycled coarse aggregates from construction and demolition wastes serves as a sustainable solution, which reduces the overall cost and environmental pollution. In this paper, a review on mechanical properties and permeability indices of pervious concrete made with recycled coarse aggregates is studied.
