This comprehensive review explores the efficacy of guided imagery as a therapeutic intervention to enhance psychological well-being among mastectomy patients. Breast cancer, often necessitating mastectomy, presents not only physical but profound emotional challenges. Guided imagery, rooted in the power of imagination, offers a promising avenue for addressing these psychological struggles. The review begins by dissecting the psychological impact of mastectomy, shedding light on the anxiety, body image concerns, depression, and fear of recurrence that often accompany this transformative experience. It then delves into the essence of guided imagery, elucidating how it creates positive sensory experiences within the mind, fostering relaxation and emotional healing. Crucially, the mechanisms of action behind guided imagery are explored, revealing its ability to distract from distressing thoughts, facilitate emotional expression, empower individuals, and reduce stress. Clinical evidence and case studies are scrutinized to provide empirical support for guided imagery's positive impact. Lastly, the review outlines future directions, advocating for tailored interventions, longitudinal studies, and comparative effectiveness research. Practical recommendations are offered for healthcare professionals, emphasizing the importance of incorporating guided imagery as part of a holistic approach to care for mastectomy patients. In conclusion, guided imagery emerges as a valuable therapeutic tool that holds the potential to alleviate emotional distress, empower individuals, and foster resilience, ultimately enhancing the psychological well-being of mastectomy patients on their journey to recovery and survivorship. This comprehensive review explores the efficacy of guided imagery as a therapeutic intervention to enhance psychological well-being among mastectomy patients. Introduction: Lower back pain is one of the most common painful condition which is experienced by all age groups. Ayurveda treatment of such conditions depends upon the acute or chronic causes, on which the physician decide whether emergency or conservative line of treatment is best. In Ayurveda, Trikgraha and Katigraha come under vaat vyadhis. For vaat vyadhis the common line of treatment mentioned in classics is snehana, swedana and shodhana. In this study total 40 patients of Katishoola were treated with Katibasti with Yogabasti and with only Yogabasti. Objectives: To compare the effect of Katibasti with Yogabasti and only Yogabasti in management of Katishoola Methods: 40 patients of either sex, diagnosed as Katishoola, were randomly assigned into two groups, Group A and Group B, each comprising minimum of 20 patients. Group A: 20 patients were given Katibasti with Sahacharadhi Taila & Eranda moolaadi Yogabasti. Group B: 20 patients were given Niruha basti in the form of Yogabasti. The assessment was done using subjective and objective parameters. Results: In Group A. 16 (80%) patients were gained complete remission. 4 (20%) patients were got just marked improvement. In Group B. 10 (50%) patients were gained complete remission. 10 (50%) patients were got marked improvement. Both the groups proved to be effective in combating the disease Katishoola but 'Katibasti with Yogabasti' is more effective than only 'Yogabasti' in Katishoola.

Asthikshaya i.e. Osteoporosis is a condition in which there will be kshaya (diminution) of Asthidhatu (bone tissue). Asthikshaya may be compared to Osteoporosis, in which there is a decrease in bone mass leading to increased in bone fragility and susceptibility to fractures. Osteoporosis is a commonest condition affecting the older population. According to the principle of Ashraya Ashrayee Bhava, when Vata increases Asthi decreases because, Vata and Asthi are inversely proportional to each other. Hence the etiological factors of Vata Vriddhi are the causative factors for Asthikshaya. Apart from this, the causative factors for Asthikshaya can also be taken as the factors for the vitiation of Medavaha, Asthivaha, Majjavaha and Purishavaha Srotas as well. Thus very complex mechanism involves in the Samprapti of Asthikshaya. By the above mentioned results, the pathogenetic factors of the provoked Vata, either by Dhatukshaya or by Margavarana, enters the Rikta Asthivaha Srotas or leads to Asthikshaya. The clinical features of Asthikshaya are Asthishoola, Toda, Sandhi Shaithilya, Kesha, Loma, Nakha, Danta Paata, Dourbalya, Rukshata etc. As per Acharya Charak & Vagbhata, the remedial measures in the disorder of Asthi consist of the Panchkarma therapy Basti prepared with the Tiktadravya, Ksheera and Ghrita along with the use of Swayoni dravyas. The present clinical study was undertaken to evaluate the efficacy of Matra Basti and Tikta Ksheera in the management of Asthiksahya w.s.r. to Osteoporosis Aims & Objectives: To evaluate the effect of Matra Basti and Tikta Ksheera Basti on Asthiksahya w.s.r. to Osteoporosis. Methodology: In Group-A 15 patients were given Matra basti & In Group-B 15 patients were given Tikta ksheera basti Result: Among 15 patients in group A, marked improvement was found in 3 patients, and 12 patients were moderately improved in lakshana of Asthikshaya. Among 15 patients in group B, marked improvement was found in 5 patients and 10 patients were moderately improved. In this study the Group- B (Tikta ksheera basti) shows slightly good results than Group-A (Matra basti) in all the symptoms in combating the disease Asthikshaya.
