Soils that are dislodged easily and rapidly in flowing water of low salt concentration are called dispersive soils. When structures are constructed by the use of such types of soil then they are susceptible to severe erosion. The dispersive nature of soil minerals are its erodability can be assessed by pinhole test. The degree of dispersion decreases for increasing percentage of additives. In previous research works researchers have added lime as additives. In this experimental study GGBS and silica as additives is used. GGBS stands for Ground Granulated Blast furnace Slag. It is an industrial by product requires an alkali activator for enhancing its pozzolanic reactions with soil. Studies have shown that this binder combination is more economical as compared to other binding agents. Significant increase in unconfined compressive test and reduction in plasticity characteristics where observed improvement of CBR value is also marked after the addition of the binder minimum soft clayey soils have low shear strength, high compressibility and low heat. Various tests like plasticity index, liquidity index, double hydrometer test, pinhole test, crumb test were conducted for determining the increase of decrease in the dispersive property of soft soil.

One purpose of the present study was to examine the effect of self-concept as a trait of personality on adjustment. Self-concept scale was prepared and standardized by Dr S.M. Mohsin along with Mohsin-Shamshad Adaptation of Bells Adjustment Inventory to be utilized as research tools. Self-concept scale was administered to all the respondents (N=480) and their scores were obtained. The respondents were divided into high self-concept group and low self-concept group on the basis of their scores on Mohsin Self-concept inventory administered to them. Those falling at and above the median value of the self-concept scores were placed in high self-concept group and those below it was placed in low self-concept group. Then, Mohsin-Shamshad Adaptation Inventory was administered to the subjects of both the groups and their scores on all the dimensions of adjustment were collected. For the analysis and treatment of the scores t-test, r-test and chi-square test were employed. The results showed that the high self-concept group of subjects was found more adjusted than the low self-concept group of subjects. Thus, self-concept and adjustment were found positively and significantly correlated.

Present research is a comparative study aimed at finding the difference in achievement motivation among high school students (male and female) in the flood affected and unaffected areas of Malappuram district, Kerala state. The Null hypothesis was formed which states that, there is no significant difference in the achievement motivation among high school students (male) in the flood affected and unaffected areas of Malappuram. And also the study aimed to find the difference among female students in this area. Purposive data collection technique was applied during the research. Independent sample t test was applied to find the difference between two groups. Result found that they is no significance between the two groups of students from flood affected and non-affected areas. Which clearly states that, if the achievement motivation is high among the students, then any other variable like flood or anything as such cannot disturb their level of achievement motivation. The study also found that the majority of the children (male and female) in the flood affected areas were seen to have high levels of achievement motivation. Regardless of the limitations, the study has paved the way for conducting more research studies under the similar circumstances taking the research gap into consideration and rectifying them in the further research studies.

Under the present study, the effect of Ego-strength on different dimensions of adjustment like home, health, social, emotional and in overall is examined. Ego-strength Scale and Differential Personality Scale along with Mohsin-Shamshad Adaptation of Bells Adjustment Inventory was utilized as research tools. The considered tools were administered on all the respondents (N=480) and their scores were obtained. Then the median value of the scores was calculated. The respondents falling at and above the median were placed in high Ego-strength group and those falling below it were placed in low Ego-strength groups. For the analysis and treatment of the scores t-test, r-test and chi-square test were employed. The results showed significant association of adjustment with ego strength. The high ego strength group of subjects showed better adjustment pattern as compare to the low ego strength subjects. Thus equal strength and adjustment were found positively and significantly related.

Abstract The aim is to Evaluation Compliance with Standard Posterior - Anterior (Pa) Chest Techniques Methodology- A prospective Evaluation of compliance with standard posterior-anterior (PA) chest techniques was conducted for 8 months. During this time the data of experimented images were collected on a daily basis along with the clinical history of patients and relevant vital signs also without ignoring the maintenance of equipment and factors adjustments of scanning parameters and the technical skill of the chest techniques used in the particular scan of the particular patients. The result- This study was conducted on a sample of 35 patients in the radiology department. Firstly it is observed whether patients were given instructions by radiographers or not, 33 (i.e., 94.3%) patients were instructions during X-ray while 2 (i.e., 5.7%) patients were not given any instructions during X-Ray. Then, it was observed that whether patients were informed to hold their breath during X-Ray or not, 32 (i.e., 91.4%) patients were asked to hold their breath during the time of X-Ray, whether 3(i.e., 8.6%) patients were not informed about it. At third, it was observed whether patients were able to do scapula rotated or not, 31 (i.e., 88.6%) patients were able to do so, but 4 (i.e., 11.4%) patients were unable to do so. Then it was observed whether the radiographer used marker or not during X-Ray, 28 (i.e., 80%) times radiographer used marker while 7 (i.e., 20%) times marker was not used. At last, it was observed whether the appropriate distance was there between patients and X-Ray tube or not, 31 (i.e., 88.6%) times there was appropriate FFD, but FFD of 4 (i.e., 11.4%) patients was not appropriate. Conclusion- It could be concluded that the compliance with standard Posterior- anterior (PA) chest techniques were high.

Identification of trees belonging to different genera is made on the basis of slashed features of their barks in field conditions. The surface fissuring thickness of bark, depth of rhytidome periderm layers, fibre distribution and ray dilation parenchymatous tissue have systematic patterns which prove to be an asset in distinguishing the bark of individual tree species.

Karma, the much talked-about Sanskrit word, in its simplest sense means : Deed, Doing something, Anything, that you think you do i.e. an Action! And the one-line Karma Principle is, the well known proverb : As you sow, so shall you reap... You do good things, good things will happen to you and vice-versa. The simple, principle of cause & effect Or, the famous Third Law of Newton, To every action, there is an equal & opposite reaction. What happens if you do not do anything? Is there no action then? That is where things start getting complicated, because, that is not in your hands. Even if you lie in the bed you may think that you are not doing anything, but you are wrong! That itself lying in the bed without physically doing anything is also Karma. Even thinking is Karma if you are doing the thinking And, if you have thought about it, you are always thinking Not-thinking does not appear to be in our control! This little dissertation delves on this subject in its totality.

Herbal Cosmetic is also called as natural cosmeticswith the beginning of the civilization, mankind had the magnatic diptowards impressing others with their looks .At the time, there were no fancy fairness creams(Singh HP, 2001).The only thingh they had the knowledge of nature, compiled in the ayurveda. Ayurvedic cosmetics not only beautified the skin but acted as the shield against any kind of external affects for the body (Chopra et al. 1956). The best thing of the herbal cosmetics is that it is purely made by the herbs. The natural content in the herbs does not have any side effects on our body, instead enrich the body with nutrients and other useful minerals (Sadangi et al. 2005)
