The present research, titled The Position of Women in Ao Naga Society, has been undertaken to understand the role and position of women in Ao Naga society. The research initially looks into the various social and cultural practices of traditional Ao society prior to the advent of Christianity. It analyses how various practices, notions and behaviour are shaped by extant gender norms. While much has already been written and published on the women in Western or mainland Indian society, the position of women in marginalized cultures like the Ao Nagas has still not been studied in a detailed manner. Most of the academic work done on the Ao Nagas focus on their customary, political or social life. The position of women continues to remain a topic which has not been explored. The research, as an initial attempt to study the role of gender in Naga society, has attempted to provide an inclusive and encompassing overview of women and their participation in the Ao community.

Every year, the Indian state of Assam, which lies in the heart of Southwestern Monsoon belt, receives excessive rainfall. The existence of long ranges of mountain belts on the northern and northeastern frontiers of the state causes the surface runoff to flow down the vast alluvial plains, causing the rivers to swell up. The mighty river Brahmaputra flows through the Kaziranga National Park thereby killing and injuring hundreds of animals. Animals adapt naturally to floods but when the waters hit a certain level, they gravitate towards safer, higher ground in the Karbi Anglong hills.Over the years, the highway is getting increasingly tough to cross. A few of the nine wildlife corridors on the highway Panbari, Haldibari, Bagori, Harmati, Kanchanjuri, Hatidandi, Deosur, Chirang and Amguri are choked by traffic. Therefore, Initiatives recommends the need for landscape-scale conservation. Optical data does not stand adequate to meet the requirements for flood analysis in the region during the monsoons. Synthetic Aperture Data, on the other hand, makes the study of the Brahmaputra basin possible even during the cloudy monsoons. SAR sensors work by emitting microwave radiation and are sensitive to the roughness and wetness of the target. Google Earth Engine(GEE), a cloud based platform for planetary based geospatial analysis, brings about computational ways to monitor, study and predict high impact societal and surface phenomenon like floods. The research aims to analyze flooding in the Brahmaputra Valley, with special reference to Kaziranga National Park using dual polarization C-band data in the GEE platform. The study aims to identify and classify the inundated areas and introduce further prospects of visual data analysis.

Mental health problems associated with COVID-19 are directly affecting almost all small and large communities of the world. Due to social isolation, perceived danger, physical discomfort, uncertainty, fear of virus transmission and portraying negative news in large-scale media coverage, people may experience symptoms of loneliness, stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia and anger. Psychiatrists, psychologist and other health workers around the world should know about these manifestations, their correlations, and the strategies to manage them. The purpose of this systematic review was to analyse researches that investigated the effect of COVID 19 on mental health. 24 full text studies were reviewed and included in this study. Out of which 15 researches were conducted in China, 2 in Iran, 2 in Italy, 2 in India and one each in Turkey, USA, Spain and Denmark. There were a total of 97,770 participants in 24 studies, with a sample size ranging from 20 to 52,730 participants. The effect of COVID-19 on mental health was assessed on the general population in 17 studies and on health workers in 7 studies. Studies found moderate or severe levels of stress, depression, and anxiety in respondents due to the effect of COVID-19. Female gender, student status specific physical symptoms, poor self-rated health status and history of chronic illness were associated with high levels of stress, anxiety, and depression.

Peoples perspectives vary when they have to travel away from their homeland. It is natural to develop a spectrum of feelings, some with deep longing for their homeland and others who might forget their homeland and embrace the hospitality of the host land. Kiran Desai through the novel The Inheritance of Loss reveals to us the effect of the diasporic movement and how it frames ones outlook on life. Every character in this novel is unique and in some ways representative of entire humankind. Jemubai Patel converts himself to an epitome of western culture and belittles India. Biju who is the polar opposite of Jemubai patel , longs for India when being away from his country. Sai who is brought up in western culture, understands the worth of India when the novel ends. Gyan an Indian Gorkha tries to make a space for him in his own country, where he is treated as an alien. Father Booty and Uncle Pooty foreign nationals understand that no matter how much they embrace and love India, they cannot make it their homeland. This novel doesnt just end in an Indian context , but is linked with the entire world , which is a framework of relations formed by people from different countries.

Sanskrit has been the chief source language of Indian culture from ancient times. Pali had been popular in many parts of Asia from Buddhist times as the language of intellectual, scientific and religious discourses. Tamil is an important source language for understanding the synthesis of Aryan and Dravidian elements in Indian culture. From the medieval period, Hindi has been emerging as a vehicle of culture and a language for contact with people. In contemporary India, Hindi is a link language for the 22 or more major regional languages. As a vehicle of culture, it represents the dynamism of vibrant Indian culture. During the great socio-cultural movements like the Bhakti movement and the freedom movement, Hindi has been a vehicle of communication for the millions. Because of the perception of Hindi as a communication language of the masses, by Gandhi, Dr. Ambedkar and other leaders, it was accepted in the Indian Constitution as the official language of the Indian Union. The Indian bureaucracy is still under the dominance of English, although it is only the co-official language. As far as the people are concerned, Hindi is a great communication language. By analyzing the trends of teaching Hindi globally, we can observe that strategies are being evolved to teach Hindi as a communication language.

Abstract: Most of the Diseases are often connected to the less or more production of certain Proteins. If the production of these proteins is discord many diseases can be treated or cured. Antisense technology is a method that can deny the protein production. It used to design new therapeutics for diseases in which the production of a specific protein plays a circle role. RNA plays a central role in the expression of all genes. Any sequence within RNA can be recognized by complementary base pairing, synthetic oligonucleotides. Antisense technology is a tool that is used for the Inhibition of gene expression. The principle behind it is that an antisense nucleic acid sequence base pairs with its complementary sense RNA strand and prevents it from being translated into a protein. Antisense oligonucleotides are short, chemically modified strands of 15-20 nucleotides, which hybridize to a specific complementary area of mRNA of a disease related target gene, thus blocking its expression in protein synthesis. This article gives brief introduction regarding the antisense technology.

A wireless sensor network is a group of sensors nodes placed strategically in a field of interest to extract particular information in a determined range and then transmit this information to a base station also known as the sink node then feed into the internet. The data collection process is the main goal in a WSN. To achieve the aforementioned goal, we will consider sensing methods such as one-hop transmission, multi-hop transmission, or clustering. These methods are effective in various application demands for a collection of reliable data from our sensor nodes. The WSNs sensor nodes either battery-powered or harvested energy-powered, energy consumption still play a crucial role in the inaccuracy of data sensed. Therefore, we have to design better network communication protocols and network organizations to conserve energy. This paper highlights several adaptive methods by reviewing their approaches solutions and performance in data handling that contribute to numerous issues and challenges such as power consumption constraints, node failure, packet collision, and time delay.
