Merger and acquisitions have played a very significant role in phenomenal growth of corporate sector after opening up of Indian economy. Though it is one of the fundamental mechanism for corporate restructuring and business synergies but the process regulating mergers and acquisitions is not free from regulatory bottlenecks. There are several judicial, quasi-judicial and regulatory bodies involved in sanctioning a scheme of merger. The introduction of competition watchdog i.e. Competition Commission of India caused an apprehension in the industry that inclusion of another regulator will further complicate and delay the merger process. However, the Competition Act, 2002 and regulations framed thereunder have very systematic and fair approach for dealing with merger cases. This article discusses the statutory framework of M&A approval under the competition law in terms of section 5 and 6 of the Competition Act, 2002 and regulations framed thereunder. In terms of the scheme of the Competition Act, 2002, transactions below a threshold are exempted from the purview of Competition Commission of India. This article discusses the approach of the Competition Commission of India in dealing with merger and acquisition transactions based on the analysis of order passed by the Competition Commission of India in Vodafone and Idea merger case. The author has highlighted some key observations made by CCI while approving the merger of Vodafone and Idea. In majority of the merger cases decided by the Competition Commission of India, it has approved these transactions holding that there is no appreciable adverse effect on competition because of merger or acquisition of a target by an acquirer. In this backdrop, this article also discusses whether the pro-merger approach of Competition Commission of India is in consonance with the objectives of Competition Act, 2002.

The focus of present study is on finding out the determinants of Quality of Work Life of Academicians working in Private colleges in Gwalior. Maintaining high Quality of Work Life of employees is essential for the success of every organization. Satisfied and engaged employees are necessary for achieving sustainable competitive advantage. Data was collected from 250 academicians using convenience sampling. Scale given by R. Walton was used for current study. The respondents were Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors working in Private engineering colleges in Gwalior. Backward Regression analysis was applied to the dimensions of Quality of Work Life to find out its determinants. Fair and appropriate salary, working conditions, use of your capacities at work, social integration at the workplace and social relevance of work are the predictors of QWL of Academicians working in Private colleges.

In these days pollution is taking the form of a disaster. There are various factors promoting the pollution. one of them factor is the use of non biodegradable polymer which contribute to 43% in India. it is clear that use of non biodegradable is not eco friendly but its substitution by biodegradable polymer is very slow. Factors behind it are higher cost and lack of initiatives. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of types of biodegradable polymer, its economics and environmental importance in relation to bio polymer.

Abstract; India and Iran are age old friends and witnessed the long cultural, social, economical, religious and political affinities. During the course of the time various initiatives were held by both the countries to cement their relations. Various factors hampered the relations of the two age old civilisations however both are willing to overhaul their relations in future. In the present paper an attempt has been made to analyse the demographical overview of the Chahbhar port and its significance to India. Chahbhar port is often designated as thee 'Golden Gate' to the landlocked Commonwealth of Independent State countries and Afghanistan. From India's perspective the tactical importance of Chahbhar port is gigantic. Chahbhar port above and beyond giving access to the oil and gas wealth in Iran also provides doorway to India to the Central Asian Republic.

Data privacy is major concern in cloud computing. Most of the methods preserve the sensitive data like address, phone number, etc. and fewer methods to preserve quasi identifiers. In anonymization and randomization there is information loss during reverse process of preservation. I have worked to check the information loss problem by using K-mean clustering. Database of employee is considered. Three quasi identifiers are preserved during experiment. In gender attribute preservation, age attribute is taken because gender is Boolean. The whole age record is divided into two clusters and the first and the second cluster centroid are assigned to male and female respectively. In case of age preservation, 3 clusters are formed. Initially the difference between maximum and minimum age is calculated and if that difference is small then consider it as a noise, otherwise calculate the remainder of maximum and the minimum centroid and if its value is small, then take it as a noise and merge it in the age data. If both conditions are not applicable then take the remainder of maximum cluster with 10 (constant), and that becomes the additive noise. To preserve the area code, find the difference between maximum and minimum centroid and then multiply it to the original zip code data. So, the privacy of attributes is preserved. During reverse process the age noise is subtracted from preserved age data and the altered area code is divided with noise and original data is received. So the information loss is null in the proposed method.

The densities, and speeds of sound, data of ternary N-methylpyrrolidin-2-one (1) + pyrrolidin-2-one (2) + cyclopentanone or cyclohexanone (3) mixtures have been measured over entire mole fraction at 293.15, 298.15, 303.15 and 308.15 K. The experimental densities and speeds of sound data have been utilized to evaluate excess molar volumes, and excess isentropic compressibility, of the studied ternary mixtures. The results indicate that and of N-methylpyrrolidin-2-one (1) + pyrrolidin-2-one (2) + cyclopentanone or cyclohexanone (3) mixtures are negative over entire composition range. The and data have been analyzed in terms of Graph theory. It has been observed that Graph theory correctly predicts the sign and magnitude of the excess molar volumes and excess isentropic compressibilities of the studied ternary mixtures.
