 Abstract

Gears are used for speed and torque variation. since gears are rotating parts gear teeth tends to wear and thus crack occurs, to overcome this crack and to obtain higher efficiency gearbox can be analyzed before production. Spur gears and the shafts are designed using SOLIDWORKS and then it is subjected to stress analysis in ANSYS. Stress concentration factor is compared under varied loads. The main objective for carrying out this analysis is to improve the life of the gear. After the analysis of gears from existing gearbox the reason for failure was found. The reason for failure of the gear was due to wear of gear teeth edges. This is caused due to high stress concentration along the gear teeth edges. To relieve these stress concentration gear material can be changed so that the resulting stress can be reduced according to the properties of the materials used. The resulting stress of all the materials are compared and the best material is chosen.

Cutting tools that have been used in the manufacturing industries for many years for producing machine elements which encounters numerous problems such as reduced tool life, failure of tool, higher wear and tear etc. The coating includes one or several refractory layers of which at least one layer is a dense, fine-grained layer of ?-Aluminium Oxide. The coated tool exhibits excellent surface finish and toughness and shows much improved wear properties compared to prior art objects when used for machining steel, cast iron and, particularly when machining nodular cast iron.

 Abstract

As we know the electricity is basic need in our day to day life and there is a different type of pollution in the world, and one of them is noise pollution. Noise is an unwanted sound, which creates pollution. This paper developes new technique to generate electricity from sound energy and solar energy to get more output from this hybrid model. It focuses on the feasibility and the ground zero application of the same. The prediction of the future development of these kind of sources of energy is emphasized other than commonly known ones such as solar energy, biogas, wind energy and so on. If sound energy is able to be converted into electric energy efficiently it could help us to reduce the scarcity of electrical energy across the globe. Hence there are many applications areas in which this technique can be utilized and electricity can be generated easily.

The rapid industrialisation in third world countries like India has brought in several industries problems. The important among them is the problem related to labour force. Industrial workers in India had to go through many decades of privation. In the early days of the factory system of production workers were considered as a commodity which could be easily procured and readily replaced Low wages, Long hours of work insecurity & employment, insanitary working and living conditions, perception for trade union activity, and grave social and economic injustice brought untold miseries to the working class. For the smooth and unsuccessful running of any industry the condition of working class should be at a reasonable standard of living. But the conditions are not like that. Their working conditions are hazardous, insanitary and unhygienic. Thrown into a new and uncongenial environment, they become easy victims to social evils like drugs alcohol, gambling, prostitution etc. Because of these conditions it becomes a moral obligation to the employees to enable his employees to lead a congenial life. The present study intends to bring the expectations of the TNSTC employees.

 Abstract

Investment is the sacrifice of certain present value for the uncertain future reward. Investments are always interesting, challenging and rewarding. Investment involves selection of the right kind of instruments / schemes with an aim of maximizing returns. The decision regarding the type of instrument/investment depends upon the risk taking capabilities of individuals. As the risk taking capability vary from person to person according to their risk taking nature, age, family and other responsibilities and obligations, availability of surplus funds for investment etc, the choice of investment avenues will vary from individual to individual. Tax Planning is an essential part of financial planning. Efficient tax planning enables us to reduce tax liability to the minimum. This is done by legitimately taking advantages of all tax exemptions, deductions rebates and allowances while ensuring that the investments are in line with their long term goals. The purpose of this paper is to find out the awareness of tax saving schemes and to identify the preference of tax saving schemes among women faculty of Degree Colleges of Hyderabad.
