Abstract Background: Threshold estimation of Auditory brainstem response (ABR) and Auditory steady state response (ASSR) changes from birth to three months to six months. If the audiologists and physicians should have a good diagnostic accuracy of threshold estimations, then they can provide a good health care for the patient. Objective: Objective of the study was to measure ASSR & ABR threshold and Vth wave latency of ABR in infants immediately after their birth, after three months and six months. Another objective was to compare the ABR and ASSR parameters after birth, three months and six months. Methodology: The study was done as a pilot study to find out threshold estimation prior to screen hearing loss in neonates. Study design was longitudinal study with follow ups. 30 healthy infants who fulfilled inclusion and exclusion criteria were included in the study. Parameters of ABR and ASSR were recorded after birth, three months and sixth month and were compared. Results: Of the 30 infants were evaluated, 17 subjects were males and 13 subjects were females (43.33%). The mean latency of fifth wave was 7.35 after birth, 6.95 at 3 months and 6.53 at 6 months. In the ABR threshold estimation at birth were responded with mean value of 33.58, after 3 month responded with 31.67 and further responded with 29.00 after 6 months. The mean ASSR threshold at 0.5 KHz, 1 KHz, 2KHZ & 4 KHz was 24.72 after birth, 22.80 at three months and 21.65 at 6 months. All these parameters after birth, at third month and sixth month were statistically significant(p<.0001). Conclusion: All the parameters were reduced from birth to 6th month. So the age of infant must take into consideration while screening hearing loss. Even the threshold of ASSR and ABR varies with frequency, variations with different populations and even also with machine. So while screening hearing loss, all of these factors must be taken into consideration.

When fuel is burned in an engine, heat is produced. Additional heat is also generated by friction between the moving parts. Only approximately 30% of the energy released is converted into useful work while remaining 70% must be removed from the engine to prevent the parts from melting. In air-cooled I.C engine, extended surfaces called fins are provided at the periphery of engine cylinder to increase heat transfer rate. That is why the analysis of fin is important to increase the heat transfer rate. The main of aim of this work is to study different types of fins to improve heat transfer rate of cooling fins by changing cylinder fin geometry.

Security of information is very important in terms of communication and the secrecy of how to decode it. Steganography is hiding of secret message within an ordinary message and the extraction of it at its destination. It is beneficial for securely storing sensitive data. It is one of the very powerful and popular techniques used for hiding information. Designing steganography in hardware helps to speed up steganography. In this paper, hardware implementation of LSB steganography technique is performed using MATLAB and FPGA, in which secret data is concealed within digital image and extraction of secret data on the FPGA.

A Kovilagam is the household of local political authorities who are present in length and breadth of Kerala from medieval times onwards. This is the residence, where all who have not succeeded to get kingship (raja) remain under the management of the eldest resident male or female member of that particular branch of the family. Literally kovil is a space where a deity dwels. Kovilakam is therefore a walled compound where the kovil is situated. The Kovil, being the abode of deity, possesses a supreme position in the day to day life of the members of the kovilagam during the medieval period though it has lost its importance in the present. The domestic practices as well as political life of the members of kovilagam are centered on the Kovil where the family deity is dwelling. Kovilathikari who is the supreme authority of the Kovilagam wielded his power ritually as the authority over the Kovil as the protector of the deity. Kovilagam may also include the properties attached to the household.

The microprocessor is a computer processor that integrates the functions of the central processing unit (CPU) on a single integrated circuit (IC) or at most a few integrated circuits. The microprocessor is a digitally-integrated, register-driven, multifunctional, clock-based circuit that accepts input binary data, processes it according to instructions stored in its memory, and provides output results. Microprocessors include combinational logic and sequential digital logic. Microprocessors use numbers and symbols that are represented in the binary numbering system. Using the recent improvements of power transistors as well as microprocessors it is now possible to develop high-dynamic-performance AC drives of moving contacts using synchronous or asynchronous motors. Each schemes acquire particular strengths. A general control principle, depending on field or even rotor orientation, is explained which has been recognized with a sophisticated microcomputer, wherever all the signal processing, such as modulation from the inverter, is completed by software. Extensive tests have been performed with motors to compare the actual characteristics in the various types of drives.

Malnutrition was a leading problem among tribal pre-school children in India. Therefore it is necessary together region and community specific data from time to time for formulating the health planning and nutritional intervention programme. Children below the age of five years constitute nearly 15% of the total population of country and from the nutritional standpoint constitute a vulnerable segment and suffers the highest rate of morbidity and mortality for almost a decade evidence that more children die from malnutrition and it is does not serious damage to the physical growth and intellectual performance in the later life.
