Maximization of profit is one of the important objectives of a firm. Financing sources of has an important role in the financial performance of a firm. Unbalanced equity and debt in the capital structure adversely affect the financial results of the State Level Public Enterprises / Modern Manufacturing Public Enterprises (MMPEs). The changes in the financing policies of the Government due to the advent of the new economic policy also affect the working of the state level public enterprises. So the present study, impact of new economic policy in the financial performance of the Modern Manufacturing Public Enterprises (MMPEs) of Kerala. Profitability of the Modern Manufacturing Public Enterprises (MMPEs) are analyzed with the help of various profitability indicators such as net profit ratio, return on net worth, return on capital employed, return on equity, and interest coverage ratio. It can be concluded from the study that that the implementation of new economic policy has helped the MMPEs in Kerala to improve the overall profitability significantly

Air conditioner condensers are a heat exchanger device; AC condenser units are grouped according to how it rejects the heat to the medium (surround air). The primary component of a condenser is typically the condenser coil, through which the refrigerant flows. Since, the AC condenser coil contains refrigerant that absorbs heat from the surrounding air, the refrigerant temperature must be higher than the air. In this paper designed an air-cooled Condenser fins for an air conditioner. Presently the material used for coils is Copper and the material used for Fins is Copper or aluminium G Al Cu 4IMG 204 whose thermal conductivity is 110-150W/m K. the condenser fines design using computer aided software catia. We are optimizing the design parameters by changing the thickness of the fin for the same length without failing the load conditions. To validate the temperatures and other thermal quantities like flux and gradient, thermal analysis is done on the condenser fins by applying copper for coil and Fin materials G Al Cu 4IMG 204, Aluminium Alloy Al99 and Magnesium alloy. Heat flux, directional heat flux, convection, Thermal analysis is done in ansys. And also we are varying inside cooling fluid Hydrocarbon (HC) and Hydro chloro flouro carbon (HCFC). The best material and best fluid for the condenser of our design can be checked by comparing the results. Optimization is done by changing the thickness of the catia is a parametric 3D modelling software and ansys is analysis software.

Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) have moved quickly to the mainstream and are now found in many educational institutions, homes, businesses and public areas. Organisations and consumers have been keen to take advantage of the flexibility adding wireless networks can offer. A recent report from In-Stat predicts that the wireless market will grow from 140 million wireless chipsets a year in 2005 to 430 million in 2009 . The emergence of new security standards has also increased confidence in WLANs. Users are becoming more familiar with the technology and are increasingly expecting wireless access to be available. There is a wide range of products and standards involved in WLAN technology and more continue to emerge. This paper will focus on wireless LANs and the issues surrounding their implementation.

This paper focused on the impact of e-learning on academic performance. The study relates to a level one undergraduate module delivered using traditional lectures and e-learning based methods. E-learning has been revealed in this study not to have a positive impact on academic achievement contrary to the expectations. The paper also examines the data for the presence of interaction effects between e-learning study hours and socio-demographic characteristics. This is undertaken to identify whether or not personal-characteristic-related learning style differences influence the extent to which students benefit from e-learning.

Advances in technology offer new opportunities in enhancing teaching and learning. Many advances in learning technologies are taking place throughout the world. The new technologies enable individuals to personalise the environment in which they work or learn, utilising a range of tools to meet their interests and needs. Cloud Computing increases the flexibility and access of educational users to a wide range of educational resources. This includes access to infrastructure, software, hardware, and platform at any time in any place provided there is internet access. The users of cloud computing in higher educational institutions include students, lecturers, administrative staff, faculty staff, developers, programmers and researchers. Due to the prevailing financial crisis and the growing needs, higher education (HE) institutes are facing challenges in providing necessary IT support for educational, research and development activities. Cloud Computing (CC) environment can rescue HE institutes from the above mentioned challenges The HE institute must exploit the opportunities afforded by CC while minimizing the associated security risks to allow access to advanced IT infrastructure, data centers, and applications and protect sensitive information. In this paper, CC architecture for HE institute containing the various deployment models, Service Models and user domain is proposed. For smoothing the migration from traditional system to CC based system a five phase strategy is presented. We finally provide the recommendations for a successful and efficient migration from traditional to cloud based system.

Increasing the coefficient of performance of conventional air conditioning system by adopting the method of sub cooling. Due to sub cooling the saturated liquid at the outlet of condenser is sub cooled which will results in increase in the refrigerating effect. The sub cooling is done by extracting the heat from condenser by employing the tubing (Heat exchanger) between the fan and the condenser. The tubing is placed parallel to the condenser and the fan blows the cool air from the tubing. Tubing consist of combination of partial refrigerant taken from the evaporator outlet and the coolant which is circulated using a pump. This will result in extraction of extra amount of heat from the refrigerant owing through the condenser. Hence the sub cooling is achieved . This will also ensure the constant supply of refrigerant in saturated vapour phase in the compressor and hence the compressor life will increase providing higher overall efficiency of the system. The use of coolant for condenser cooling shows positive response. By implementing this kind to reforms in the conventional air conditioning system we can increase the coefficient of performance and also increase the power saving of the conventional air conditioning system. The average cop improved obtained to be 50 percent so that Power consumption is reduced by 20-25 percent.
