The paper investigate the role of STATCOM in power system network for enhancement of system stability and reduction of voltage as well as power fluctuations. The power system consists of 60MW wind farm (IG Based) connected to 132 KV Grid with the help of a transmission line and step up transformer. The wind speed variation causes power fluctuation subsequently voltage fluctuations. The MATLAB simulation result shows that STATCOM gives satisfactory result in the process of enhancement of power quality of the system.

The need to enhance the thermal performance of heat transfer equipment has driven the development and use of several heat transfer enhancement techniques. Wire-coil insert has been used as one of the passive heat transfer enhancement techniques and are the most widely used in heat transfer applications. The main objective of this work is to study the effect of wire-coil insert on the overall heat transfer rate and the pressure drop characteristics of the tube under constant wall temperature boundary condition. This work presents a numerical study on three wire coils of different pitch (P) (0.0225 m, 0.027 m and 0.03096 m and coil diameter 0.002 m) inserted in a smooth tube in laminar and turbulent regimes. A commercial CFD software tool has been used for this study. The friction factor and Nusselt number for water flowing through the specified pipe (internal diameter (D) = 0.018 m, specimen length = 0.080 m) were obtained first for the smooth pipe and then for the pipe with a wire coil insert in the Reynolds number range of 350 to 4900 and Prandtl number of 6.99. The Nusselt number and friction factor of various insert geometries are higher than that of plain tube. The Nusselt number increases with the rise of Reynolds number and the reduction of pitch of the insert. The friction factor decreases with the increase of Reynolds number. The increase in Nusselt number has been found to be of the order of 1.505 1.47 and 1.225 times with respect to the plain tube for wire coil pitch to diameter ratio of 1.25, 1.50 and 1.72 respectively.

Helical gears work quietly and smoothly under heavy loads. Their design optimization includes multiple objectives and large number of design variables. Thus, a reliable and robust optimization technique will be useful to achieve the optimal design solutions. The optimization of helical gear drive can be carried out using different non-conventional optimization techniques like genetic algorithm, particle swarm optimization and ant colony optimization, etc. In the present work, volume optimization of helical gear drive is carried out using genetic algorithm. Several factors for the strength and size based on DIN standards are considered from the literature. The formulation of multivariable, constrained non-linear optimization problem with derived objective function and constraints is presented. The volume minimization using genetic algorithm is performed in MATLAB and results obtained are found to be satisfactory. This optimum set of parameters is used for modeling of helical gear pair by CREO 4.0 Software Now import the helical gear pair for stress analysis by using ANSYS 16.2 software and find that the stress value is less than the permissible stress of case hardened steel.

Presently Information Communication Technology (ICT) acting as an important role in enhancing the quality of education and research. All types administrative and management activities of ICT are currently being popular in schools, colleges and in research Institute. ICT is an extensive term for Information Technology (IT) that provides information through telecommunication. The different electronic gadgets such as computer system/hand held system, audio video display and internet are being used for proper and smooth function of the system. Records of library system is indicating that searching of general materials such as books (Indian and foreign authors), papers and encyclopedia covered 37% and web page search indicated 33% and rest including journal, website and others through ICT. The result clearly indicating thatapplication of ICT is more intense in technical institute compare to the general degree colleges. Use of ICT in degree colleges are lagging by 20% as compare to technical institute in India. All the students as well as faculties put their opinion in favors that the ICT application in their institute are applicable for collection/sending academic materials when it needs. It also helps to enhance the performance of academic institute when teaching/learning was continued in online pattern. ICT provide its service through CD, DVD, and others storage system to deliver materials from one to another. Basically, all types of online activities and functions are properly maintained through ICT application.

Education is the most important means by which people can develop their innate abilities, overcome obstacles, and broaden their range of options and possibilities, all of which contribute to their long-term success. It gives people the information and abilities needed to contribute to society in a meaningful way. It is not just a financial investment. It is essential for the process of integrating people to societal standards and for producing the next generation of leaders. It helps create common values, which maintains social equilibrium and continuity. To lessen socioeconomic, gender, and regional gaps, the Indian government has launched a number of initiatives, policies, and programs. Nevertheless, these initiatives have frequently ignored the difficulties encountered by urban slum people. Despite the tremendous efforts made by the Central and State governments, India's primary education system still faces a number of difficulties. In order to improve educational opportunities, accessibility, and equity especially by addressing social, gender, and regional disparities many educational policies and initiatives have been put into place. Nonetheless, there is still no solution to the enduring problems that urban slum dwellers endure. To understand the educational conditions of slum children, the present study attempted to explore the different problems and challenges related to education faced by children in Bhaskar Colony, Sector 25 of Chandigarh.

In the heart of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, a young boy named Manjul Bhargava was born to a family destined to make its mark on the world of mathematics. His mother, Mira Bhargava, a mathematician herself, introduced him to the enchanting world of numbers at an early age. Manjul's fascination with mathematics blossomed, and he quickly displayed an extraordinary talent for problem-solving and abstract thinking. Even as a child, Manjul's mathematical prowess was evident. He completed all of his high school math and computer science courses by the age of 14, earning him a place at Plainedge High School in North Massapequa, where he graduated as valedictorian. His academic journey continued at Harvard University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996. Manjul's brilliance caught the attention of renowned mathematician Andrew Wiles, who mentored him during his graduate studies at Princeton University. Under Wiles guidance, Manjul delved into the depths of number theory, a field that explores the properties of integers and their relationships. His doctoral thesis, which generalized the classical Gauss composition law for quadratic forms, was a groundbreaking achievement that earned him the Clay Research Fellowship and the Clay Research Award in 2005. In 2003, at the tender age of 29, Manjul Bhargava became the youngest full professor of mathematics at Princeton University. His appointment marked a new era in the history of the university, as he joined the ranks of illustrious mathematicians who had shaped the field.

After Permanent Settlement in Bengal (1793) the zamindar got the ownership of land. They had to pay revenue instead of the ownership within a certain period of time. The zamindars performed their duties as local administrator and judged the local disputes. In the nineteenth century Bengal various steps were taken to spread the education on behalf of company administration and personal efforts. The zamindars in personal efforts established some schools in their zamindari area. In the 19th and the 20th century Bengal there was a zamindar Raja Sarat Chandra Roy who was fond of education, in Malda. He set up several schools in his zamindari area for development of education. Apart from that he took some social program for the betterment of raiyats. In this paper the different educational and social works of Sarat Chandra Roy have been discussed.
