 Abstract

The present study was conducted to examine self-confidence and sportsman-spirit among swimmers. The data was collected from 60 samples from both male and female swimmers as well as trained and under-trained swimmers. Random sampling techniques were used for thin study. Self-confidence scale and sportsman-spirit scale developed by Dubey(1998) was used for thin study to assess relation between self-confidence and sportsman-spirit in swimmers. The results indicated significant difference in self-confidence between trained and untrained swimmers.

 Abstract

This secondary data related study has been undertaken to study nature and magnitude of employment in Himachal Pradesh. As per National Sample Survey Organisation according to principal status 52 percent of rural males and 29 percent of rural females during 1999-2000 and 54 percent of rural males and 41 percent of rural females were available for employment. Urban male labour force participation rates are higher than the rural ones during both surveys. Fifty percent of males (urban as well as rural) were employed during 1999- 2000, and 52 percent of rural males and 62 percent of urban males were employed during 2004-20005. The proportion of rural women employed was 39 percent during 2004-2005 and 28 percent during 1999-2000. Urban females were less employed than the rural ones. According to 'all workers' among the rural males with graduate level of education the worker population ratio was 88 percent during 1999-2000, which decreased to 78 percent during 2004-2005, and it was 80 percent during 1999-2000 and 69 percent during 2004-2005 for urban males. Self-employment among rural female was higher (93 percent during 1999- 2000 and 91 percent during 2004-2005) than rural males (around sixty percent). Urban females were more self-employed than males during both years. The extent of regular employment for urban males and females is the same (59 percent during 1999-2000 and 39 percent during 2004-2005) according to usual principal status. Around 20 percent of rural males and 2 percent of rural females during 1999-2000 and 2004-2005 were in casual labour. Agriculture accounts for bulk of employment for rural females, as around 90 percent (higher than that for males). Construction is responsible for 18-19 percent of rural male employment and 12-22 percent of urban male employment. Services account for 54 percent of urban female employment during 1999-2000 and 41 percent during 2004-2005 (higher than that of urban male employment), according to usual principal status. As per 2001 Census, 51 percent of the total persons in rural areas and 37 percent in urban areas were engaged in any type of work one year preceding the enumeration.

 Abstract

This journal paper aims to explore the effectiveness of physical education training as a strategy to prevent obesity in schools. This study reviews relevant literature on the impact of PE training on obesity prevention, considering its influence on physical activity levels, fitness improvement, and the adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviors. The paper examines the importance of creating supportive school environments that facilitate positive attitudes toward physical education and foster healthy habits. The paper also discusses potential challenges and barriers to effective PE implementation, such as limited resources, time constraints, and lack of qualified instructors. Strategies to overcome these obstacles are proposed, emphasizing the need for collaboration among schools, policymakers, and community stakeholders. In conclusion, this journal paper emphasizes the critical role of physical education training in schools as a key component of comprehensive efforts to prevent obesity. The insights provided can inform educational policymakers, school administrators, and PE instructors in designing and implementing effective PE programs that promote physical activity, fitness, and healthy lifestyles among students.

 Abstract

The article will identify the recent advances and current challenges in fundamental understanding of the basic science, and it will explore the impact beyond the chemical sciences that these advances have had in the past. It will also explore the possibilities for such impact in the future, recognizing that such developments are frequently serendipitous. A key goal of the chemical sciences is the creation of molecules and materials that do not exist in nature. The ability to design and synthesize new substance offers the possibility of improvement on what is found in nature - with both accomplishments and future opportunities that range from life saving drugs to material that can help to make our lives safer and more pleasant. Chemistry has a key role to play in the area of analysis and structure determination which presents important and exciting needs, opportunities and challenges such as. detecting toxic or explosive materials in the environment detecting land mines and making chemical manufacturing processes environment friendly via real time control. Thus the Chemical Sciences have not only a great past but an even more exciting future.

 Abstract

: It demonstrates that the ensemble- based approach is significantly more effective than traditional single-model methods; supervised learning outperforms unsupervised learning, and increasing the cost of false negatives correlates to higher accuracy. It shows effectiveness over non sequence data. For sequence data, this dissertation proposes and tests an unsupervised, ensemble based learning algorithm that maintains a compressed dictionary of repetitive sequences found. Throughout dynamic data streams of unbounded length to identify anomalies. In unsupervised learning, compression-based techniques are used to model common behavior sequences. This results in a classifier exhibiting a substantial increase in classification accuracy for data streams containing insider threat anomalies. This ensemble of classifiers allows the unsupervised approach to outperform traditional static learning approaches and boosts the effectiveness over supervised learning approaches. One of the bottlenecks to construct compress dictionary is scalability. For this, an efficient solution is proposed and implemented using Hadoop and MapReduce framework. We could extend the work in the following directions. First, we will build a full fledge system to capture user input as stream using apache flume and store it on the Hadoop distributed file system (HDFS) and then apply our approaches. Next, we will apply MapReduce to calculate edit distance between patterns for a particular user's command sequence data.

 Abstract

They have been used in a wide range of applications unique physical and chemical properties, including that of antibacterial in advanced manufacturing, household, and health insurance products, in consumer items, healthcare industry coatings, sensor arrays, and personal care products; inside the production of biopharmaceuticals; in diagnostic testing and arthroplasty; in dosage forms; and as cytotoxic agents, which has tends to result in the improvements of the endocrine effects of chemotherapeutics. Over the last several years, AgNPs were more useful in a number of applications including such textiles, computer keyboards, surgical instruments, and healthcare equipment. Nanoparticles metals particles have such a high specific surface area ratio, which allows them to drastically affect physical, biochemical, and biological features.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT Mobile banking is a service provided by a bank or other financial institution that allows its customers to conduct financial transactions remotely using a mobile device such as a smart phone or tablet. Unlike the related internet banking it uses software, usually called an app, provided by the financial institution for the purpose. Mobile phone is a common technology device that became part of every individual in the information era. Mobile Banking is an emerging alternate channel for providing banking services. India is the second largest telecom market in the world, which is having high potential for expanding banking services using mobile. However, mobile banking has not become the choice of millions of people. This study also defines the role of mobile banking in payment industry by providing ease to existing bank customers and by offering new services to the customers in emerging areas. By using mobile banking technology users has been much quicker than the adoption of online banking more than a decade ago. This research paper defines many issues and challenges which are facing in use of mobile banking.

 Abstract

This study was conducted to invention the effect of plyometric training on particular physical fitness variables of college men Kabaddi players. Thirty college men Kabaddi players from Sangli district were selected. The subjects were aged between 18 to 20 years. The subjects chosen for the study were divided into two equal groups called control and experimental group consisting of thirty students, each group consists of fifteen Players. Plyometric training was given to the experimental group. The control group was not allowed to participate in any of the special training programme except their routine practices. Information for the selected variables was taken at the pre-test and at the end of the experimental period post-test. Speed, Strength and Explosive power were selected as variables and measured with the valid test namely 50 meters run, Modified Push-ups and Vertical jump to measure changes due to the influence of plyometric training. Analysis of SPSS was used for interpreting the results. On the basis of the results the effects of Plyometric training have significantly contributed to improve the selected physical fitness variables specifically Speed, Strength and Explosive power.
