Abstract
The advent of new information and communication technologies has translated the dream of �global village� into a reality. The new communication and information technologies have brought about the death of distance and facilitated meaningful interactive cum participatory communication all over the world. The emergence of Internet replaced the one to many model of traditional mass communication with the possibility of many to many web of communication. Internet is also one of the major tools of interactive communication in modern society. Interactivity has become a key term for number of new media use options evolving from the rapid dissemination of Internet access point, the digitalization of the media and media convergence. Many researchers have studied the role of Internet in modern society which has brought about connectedness. The present study evaluates the uses and gratification of Internet among the college students with special reference to Karnataka State. The salient features of the study namely - evolution of Internet, utility of Internet in modern society, uses and gratification framework and approach, three ages of Internet research, social significance of the study, statement of the problem and objectives of the study are furnished in this chapter.

Entertainment industry today rules the roost. Video games are prominent entertaining medium throughout the world with a turnover of 159.3 Billion dollars. Until the advent of Video games story was the sole of all entertainment, be it newspapers, radio, television, cinema, crotons. Much of humanity�s most important experience has been embodied in stories. Stories come in many kinds and are known in all cultures of the world. They includes fairy tales, fables, parables, gospels, legends, epics and sagas. The present study discuses the content and form of video games as entertaining medium which sans story.

Abstract
This study is discussing about impacts of organic farming in the research area. According to this study, impacts are categorised in economical, environmental, organisational and finally others. Main objectives are (a) to understand various organic farming projects, programmes and schemes (b) to find out vital reasons for follow this type of farming and (c) to identify major inconvenience in this cultivation. This study is based on primary data and secondary data. It is gathering from Theni district in Tamilnadu. Samples are selected on the basis of purposive random sampling techniques. Researcher visited 15 villages in this study area and totally 50 samples collected .for this investigation. Those who are actively following organic farming method and they are eligible to collect the data. It is analysed by hierarchical clustering statistical techniques. This technique is calculated by within group linkage method and measures the interval through Pearson Correlation Analysis and it calculated results are explained by dendrogram.

Abstract
The 2016 Human Development Report focuses on how human development can be ensured for everyone, now and in the future. It starts with an account of the achievements, challenges and hopes for human progress, envisioning where humanity wants to go. Its vision draws from and builds on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that the 193 member states of the United Nations endorsed last year and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals that the world has committed to achieve. HDI report explores who has been left out in the progress in human development and why. This paper attempts to make a comparative study of the inequality adjusted human development index with reference to South Asian countries- Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives , Nepal , Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
