It is important to recognize that the design of any machine is an interdisciplinary process, involving aerodynamics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, stress analysis, vibration analysis, the selection of materials, and the requirements for manufacturing. The operation of any mechanical system will always produce some vibration. Our goal is to minimize the effect of these vibrations, because while it is undesirable, vibration is unavoidable. The result of excess vibration can vary from nuisance disturbance to a catastrophic failure. Bicycle frame is a major component in a system. This work involves vibration analysis to determine the key characteristics of a bicycle frame. The dynamic characteristics of bicycle chassis such as the natural frequency and mode shape will be determined. Tools used are catiaV5 for 3D modeling, Hypermesh for meshing, and Ansys for post processing.

In vehicles problem happens while driving on bumping road condition. The objective of this project is to design and analyze the performance of Shock absorber by varying the wire diameter of the coil spring. The Shock absorber which is one of the Suspension systems is designed mechanically to handle shock impulse and dissipate kinetic energy. It reduces the amplitude of disturbances leading to increase in comfort and improved ride quality. The spring is compressed quickly when the wheel strikes the bump. The compressed spring rebound to its normal dimension or normal loaded length which causes the body to be lifted. The spring goes down below its normal height when the weight of the vehicle pushes the spring down. This, in turn, causes the spring to rebound again. The spring bouncing process occurs over and over every less each time, until the up-and-down movement finally stops. The vehicle handling becomes very difficult and leads to uncomfortable ride when bouncing is allowed uncontrolled. Hence, the designing of spring in a suspension system is very crucial. The analysis is done by considering bike mass, loads, and no of persons seated on bike. Comparison is done by varying the material and diameter of the coil spring to verify the best dimension for the spring in shock absorber. Modeling and Analysis is done using CATIA and ANSYS respectively

In this study, firstly, thermal analysis is investigated on a conventional piston made of Al alloy A2618. Secondly, thermal analysis is performed on piston made of Al-GHS1300, coated with Zirconium material by means of using a commercial code, namely ANSYS. The main objective is to investigate and analyse the thermal stress distribution of piston at the real engine condition during combustion process. In this work, the main emphasis is placed on the study of thermal behaviour of functionally graded coatings obtained by means of using a commercial code, ANSYS on aluminium and zirconium coated aluminium piston surfaces. The analysis is carried out to reduce the stress concentration on the upper end of the piston i.e. (piston head/crown and piston skirt and sleeve). With using computer aided design NX/Catia software the structural model of a piston will be developed. Furthermore, the finite element analysis is done using Computer Aided Simulation software ANSYS. For the analysis of piston input conditions and process of analysis, a lot of literature survey has been done. Comparative study is done to select best material.

One of the essential tasks in agricultural applications is the use of computer technology. Agriculture is mainly based on observing, measuring, and responding to inter and intra field variability in crops. Improper irrigation will result in waste of water. Proper irrigation system could be achieved by using WSN technology Farmers, researchers, and technical manufacturers are joining efforts to find more efficient solutions for solving various different problems in agriculture to improve current production and processes. Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of sensors and connectivity to enable application like agriculture optimum irrigation. Wireless sensors consist of computation, wireless communication capabilities and small nodes of sensing. Today WSN have become an important part of precision agriculture. The recent advancement in wireless technologies has enabled a wide range of applications in environment monitoring. The use of sensors helps farmers to exploit all available resources appropriately and to apply hazardous products moderately. In this paper we have discussed about the sensor network and compared various techniques used in precision agriculture.

Among different types of enzymes obtained from microbial sources, amylases are the most widely used in industries. In the present study, different agro products were used for production of alpha amylase by using Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. The present study showed that wheat flour and wheat bran has higher efficiency in ?- amylase production using Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. The partial purification of the enzyme was done by fractionation of raw extract with ammonium sulphate salt in a variety of saturated degree to get the partial purified enzyme. The partial characterization of partially purified enzyme was done by determination of the optimum pH and temperature at which the enzyme activity is maximum. The purified alpha amylase obtained from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens make it good candidate for wide application as additives and starch modification.

Malaria is a disease of significance to human health. Five species of Plasmodium, the protozoan parasite that causes malaria, are infectious to humans and are transmitted by Anopheles mosquitoes. Mosquitoes vector a variety of essential human pathogens with filarial, viruses and apicomplexan parasites. Traditional vector-control methods have been used to control these diseases for many years, they have yet to make lasting inroads in the battle to eliminate diseases such as malaria and dengue fever. In human malaria, transmission strength is highly reliant on the vectorial capacity as well as competence associated with local mosquitos. In this study to understand the factors of vectorial capacity and competence has greatly progressed in recent years; however, some aspects have been overlooked and the evolutionary pressures that affect them often neglected.

Anaemia is the most common nutritional deficit disorder in the world. About 40% of the world's population suffers from anaemia and college girls are one of the most vulnerable age group. The prevalence of anaemia is alarmingly high in India. No much data is available for the prevalence of anaemia in the youth population, especially in the college going youngsters in India. Hence the objective of this study was to determine the prevalence and distribution of anaemia among college going girl students of Nashik District, Maharashtra, India
