 Abstract

Electric cars will be an interest in the market soon. Today, existing braking technologies are used. This braking technology consumes a lot of energy during braking in the form of heat. Therefore, regenerative braking is the most important method of focusing because it is an energy saving method. Increase the efficiency of electric vehicles by reducing waste of energy. In electric vehicle regenerative braking mode, the kinetic energy of the wheels is converted into electricity and stored in the battery or capacitor. This method has been improved using flywheels, DC-DC converters, supercapacitors. In this paper, various kinds of controllers have been studied to improve the energy saving of electric vehicles.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT The key idea of this paper is to look at the views of Swami Vivekananda on Philosophy of Education. According to Swami, education is the manifestation of perfection already present in the man. Nationalism and spiritualism were the basics for his philosophy of education .Swami had a definite faith that nothing comes from outside. Having faith in ancient Indian values, culture and tradition he was also in favour of scientific and modern approach towards learning, understanding, teaching and spreading the knowledge and education. Swami Vivekananda criticized the pattern of education introduced by the British and said it is not suitable to Indian culture. For him education is the process through which character is formed, mental power is enhanced and intellect is sharpened, in total it helps the individual to stand on his own feet. Education which helps a man for struggle of existence is real education. Education is a powerful instrument to achieve all developmental qualities in the people. Swami wants to make the individual to recognise his cultural heritage and to struggle throughout his life, so that he should be able to understand that education is the right choice to upcoming of human beings.

Abstract- Solar Flat Plate Collector is a well-known solar collector now days in the market for water heating and many more application both in rural and urban areas. The low maintenance and simple design and easy to operate made a focused in domestic home applications. The ideology in flat plate collector is to achieve the radiation energy received from the sun by heat absorption. In the present work a solar flat plate collector is fabricated to determine the performance of collector when it is fabricated using doubled glazing cover and also determine the heat gain and efficiency of the collector by maintaining constant flow rate of water when tested in a location at Hyderabad.

 Abstract

This study is undertaken to find out the relationship of Quality Of life on depression and cognition of Stroke survivors in Kerala. In order to assess these the study was conducted among 40 stroke survivors admitted to selected Hospital in Kerala. For data collection HAM-D Scale (Max Hamilton ,1960), Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale (Nasreddine et al. 2005) Stroke specific QOL Scale ((Williams et al, 1999) were used. Carl Pearson co efficient of correlation was used for data analysis. The findings of the study revealed that depression and Quality Of life are negatively related. There was a non significant correlation between cognition and Quality of life.

 Abstract

In the present-day scenario, the trend in heat exchanger design is towards higher heat transfer rates per unit volume. This is achieved by providing more surface area per unit volume of heat exchanger equipment or by decreasing the resistance to heat flow i.e. increasing the heat transfer coefficients. The present paper discusses the various techniques for enhancement of heat transfer, fabrication of equipment for forced convection heat transfer, materials for fabrications and their specifications, the effect of insertion of twisted tapes (h/d = 1 and h/d = 2) on heat transfer coefficients. The experiment revealed that at various power inputs the increase in heat transfer coefficient will be from 50% to 180% more when compared to that of the bare pipe. A comparison between the heat transfer coefficients with bare pipe and with twisted tapes is represented in the form of graphs. From the observations, a relation for Nusselts number with modified constant is derived using non-linear regression analysis for both bare pipes as well as twisted tapes.
