 Abstract

Wind turbine generators (WTGs) are usually controlled to generate maximum electrical power from wind under normal wind conditions. With the increasing penetration of wind power into electric power grids, energy storage devices will be required to dynamically match the intermittency of wind energy. To meet the requirements of frequency and active power regulation, energy storage devices will be required to dynamically match the intermittency of wind energy. A novel two-layer constant-power control scheme for a wind farm equipped with doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) wind turbines. It is connected to the power grid at both stator and rotor terminals. The stator is directly connected to the grid while the rotor is fed through a variable-frequency dc-link-voltage converter, which consists of a rotor-side converter (RSC) and a grid-side .converter .Each DFIG wind turbine is equipped with a super capacitor energy storage system (ESS) and is controlled by the low-layer WTG controllers and coordinated by a high-layer wind-farm supervisory controller (WFSC). The proposed system and control scheme provides a promising solution to help achieve high levels of penetration of wind power into electric power grids

 Abstract

This is new Application for health that offers healthcare services by utilizing the mobile devices and communication technologies. In health care services, blood donation is a complex process and consumes time to find some donor who has the compatibility of blood group with the patient. We developed android based blood donation application to establish a connection between the requester and donor at anytime and anywhere. The objective of this application is to provide the information about the requested blood and number of available donors around those localities. It assists the requester to broadcast the message across the maintained volunteer blood donor network by our application and update the requester at the same time who is willing to donate the requested blood. To evaluate our application, we created requester-donor profiles and analyzed that it will help to improve the timely access of the information and rapid response in emergency situation.

 Abstract

Today, Globalization in business is spreading like an epidemic. Many organizations have widespread their business units in overseas not only to strengthen their financial status but also establish strong business network worldwide. Organizations, nowadays, have speared their wings across the geographical boundaries which are the main reason for forming cross-cultural management. Though it seems to be very profitable offer in expanding business across the counties but in reality, it comes with a lot of troublesome issues. Such issues include cultural differences, language problem, variation in rituals and beliefs, instability in political circumstances etc. A multi-diversified organization is very much familiar with the occurrence of cultural shock. The Smooth running of any organization depends on its human resources personnel and their ways of addressing the problems. In this paper, the emphasis has given on the different dimensions which give birth to multiculturalism. Also, some suggestions and possible guidelines have been narrated to overcome with such problems and hazard free running of the global business. This paper also suggests how Initiatives have to be taken by higher authorities and subordinates for building nonracist organization. An Input-process -Output model has been illustrated to depict the conversion of a domestic work culture to multi-diverse work culture and the feasible obstacles in an MNC.

 Abstract

The paper study demonstrates the power quality problem due to installation of wind turbine with the grid. In this proposed scheme STATIC Compensator (STATCOM) is connected to mitigate the power quality issues. The battery energy storage is integrated to sustain the real power source under fluctuating wind power. The STATCOM control scheme for the grid connected wind energy generation system for power quality improvement is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK in power system block set. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme relives the main supply source from the reactive power demand of the load and the induction generator. The development of the grid co-ordination rule and the scheme for improvement in power quality norms as per IEC-standard on the grid has been presented.

 Abstract

Biometric system used for security purpose. Mostly the biometric system used for individual identification e.g. to scan finger, eye, iris, voice, signature, DNA, and Hand geometry. The main purpose of installing biometric system to minimize crimes and terrorist attack. The methodology of the paper to collect primary data from research, interviews, and human observation case studies. The objective of this research paper to control human theft, and terrorist activity in Pakistan. Iris recognition is known as an inherently reliable technique for human identification. Feature extraction is a crucial step for iris recognition and important task. The extracted features are used for matching. The security is an important aspect in our daily life whichever the system we consider security plays vital role. The biometric person identification technique based on the pattern of the human iris is well suited to be applied to access control and provides strong e-security. Security systems having realized the value of biometrics for two basic purposes: to verify or identify users. In this paper we focus on an efficient methodology for identification and verification for iris detection, even when the images have obstructions, visual noise and different levels of illuminations and we use the CASIA iris database it will also work for UBIRIS Iris database which has images captured from distance while moving a person. Efficiency is acquired from iris detection and recognition when its performance evaluation is accurate.

 Abstract

TIG welding is highly regarded because of quality and applicability; the process can be applied to several industries and aid in the creation and repair of many items. This form of welding is common in the aerospace, automotive, repair and art fields. To improve welding quality of SS 304 L & SS 410 using TIG welding system, by which welding speed can be control during welding process. Surface roughness and tensile strength of the weld joint has been investigated on the weld zone to evaluate the effect of welding parameters on welding quality. Micro-hardness value of the welded zone has been measured at the cross section to understand the change in mechanical property of the welded zone. At lower welding speeds, strength is more due to more intensity of current. With the increase in current, tensile strength of the weld joint increases. Comparison between methodical model and experimental results is in good agreement indicating that the developed models can predict the responses adequately within the limits of welding parameters being used.

 Abstract

Abstract: Ayurveda is the science of life practiced by ancient Sages which is based on Atharvaveda, one of the oldest scriptures of Hindus. The objective of Ayurveda is to counteract the imbalance of three very essential elements Vata, Pitta, Kapha which constitute the tridoshas from which the body originates. It is the Tridoshas which regularises the normal working of human body. The entire science of Ayurveda is based on Triskandha namely Hetu, Linga, Oushadha. Amongst these, oushadha is very important in knowing the therapeutic applications. In this modern era, there is need to evaluate the efficacy of the crude herbal drugs, in justifying their acceptability in modern system of medicine. In regards with the evaluation and standardization of drugs, different technique like morphological, microscopical, physical, chemical and biological evaluation is involved Morern lifestyle and diet has given rise to imbalance of Doshas which is leading to eruption of many diseases including Non Communicable Diseases in which most of diseases lacks complete cure. Ayurveda is a complete & holistic system in which a number of drugs with multiple beneficial actions are available though a massive research is required to prove the beneficial effects of the drugs. Gambhari (Gmelina arborea) is a well-known drug mentioned in Ayurveda used for various puroses by Acharya Charaka, Acharya Sushruta, Acarya Vagbhata and most of Nighantus in Ayurvedic literature also some Nighantus has specifically mentioned uses of parts of Gambhari. Hence, plant Gambhari is been selected for complete Medicinal Plant Review a step towards standardization Ayurvedic Medicinal Plant.

 Abstract

The main objectives of the study are to examine the growth and trends in area, production and yield of major crops in India and Punjab over a period of 1960-61 to 2014-15. For this purpose, necessary secondary data required for the study has been collected from Directorate of Economics and Statistics of Ministry of Agriculture and Statistical Abstract of Punjab. The results of the study show that growth rate of production and yield of all major crops in India has increased during the period of the study whereas the area under cultivation of groundnut has witnessed a negative growth during the same period. Whereas in Punjab the area under the cultivation of major crops has decreased whereas the production and yield of major crops in Punjab agriculture has increased over the period of time.

 Abstract

The binary quadratic equation is considered and a few interesting properties among the solutions are presented. Employing the integral solutions of the equation under consideration a few patterns of pythagorean triangles and rectangles are observed.
